I found out I needed papers I didn't have, so they turned me around, and I never tried again.. I feel sorry for her two children because they had no say in the matter, but unfortunately, people die all the time from all sorts of things, look at those poor children that died in the Israeli and Palestinian war or Ukraine and Russian war. What about all those Syrians who fled Syria to escape genocide by ISIS only to find death elsewhere. Look at all those people who were killed when the Taliban took Afghanistan over. Look at all those deaths caused by street gangs in foreign countries or organized crime.
Yes, it is sad that the illegal female immigrant and her two children died crossing a dangerous river at night illegally, she knew the risks. Many illegal immigrants die in the desert when trying to slip into the country illegally that way. Some will probably die during this harsh cold front, but so will some homeless Americans. It isn't like the U.S. doesn't have its own social problems. The government should be more concerned with the homeless population here in the U.S. than to let thousands of poor and possibly unskilled illegal immigrants in to complicate the situation more, which increases crime.
