I actually thought you did that because you were preparing for your epic take off! No need to worry about such little details Sarah. We think you’re great regardless!
Being a ASE certified technician I appreciate the technical side of your reviews and also enjoy the light and funny side of your garage humor. Just subscribed and look forward to seeing more videos 👍🏻
I’ve had a 2020 passport for about 6 months and it has been a great dependable car great for road trips or camping. Very comfortable and surprisingly quick, my only complaint is that the suspension is noisy.
maybe use silicone spray on all the rubber bushings and something more petroleum based on the ball joints if they don't have any rubber, plastic or urethane type of material in them ?
Hey Sarah, this video popped up because I am shopping for this or the Pilot. I’ve watched a lot of your more recent reviews too and you have come such a long way in your production and editing skills, as well as built a massive amount of confidence, comfort and expertise in how you talk about each and every car. Well done!
I think I am going to aim to get a Pilot now lol I’m too big for the Passport and I’m comfortable in a 4Runner but we don’t push the 4runner to what’s it’s built for. A bit overkill for the mild off-roading we do. Thanks for sharing your comment!
In the EU we don't call Honda the Mercedes of Asia for no reason. They generally build good quality cars that last and do what is stated on the tin. Good review Sarah.
That little cubbie area in the middle of the dash board is for a CD player. I just bought a Passport Touring model and I'm having one installed by the dealer and thats where it goes.
"...The Blazer is the family vehicle that actually appeals to the whole family, and for that reason it upsets the Honda(Passport)on its home court." I think the Motor Trend staff was weeping when they wrote that!
Sarah i agree with you on the lane departure feature, my 2019 International LT Prostar has same thing. The only saftety feature should be a anti tail gating to keep people proper following distance. I love your car reviews.
Great review Sarah! I love your personality! I'm super impressed by the 2019 Passport too! Before I bought mine, I had a 2015 Forester XT in satin white pearl just like you did. I downsized the wheels to 18's and stuck on 32 inch all-terrain tires, lifted it 2 inches and trimmed the front bumper :P The crazy thing is it actually handles better onroad now, but that's because I had the EX-L trim that came with 245mm tires instead of the Elite's 265mm tires.
Great review Sarah...I actually got a 2022 TrailSport after seeing your review, Jon's overlanding videos and also Redline Reviews. I want to get into light overlanding and am confused with lift and tires. My car comes with 245/60r18 with all seasons. Whats the biggest A/Ts' I can get without cutting bumper or lift? Can I use 255/70r18 A/T's on my car without mods or do I have to stick to stock tire sizes? Thanks love my new Passport.
@@nng1979 a 30.4” tall tire would fit without rubbing. Many people run 265/60R18 which is a 30.5” x 10.4” tire with minimal rubbing at 90% steering lock. 255/70R18 is a 32.1” x 10.0” tire. The only way to runs these are to cut metal wheel well or purchase the Traxda axle relocation kit. The lift kit alone will not help you clear taller tires. Actually, the cut or relocation kit will clear the tires without a lift.
@@JonDZ_Adventuring is a 30.4" tire the standard 245/60r18 size? If so I guess I'm go with either Falken Wild Peaks or Cooper AT3s'..should give me an extra inch of clearance?
Hey Sarah, I have the Black Forest Passport. It IS beautiful. I get compliments on it all the time. From one angle it looks black, but in the sun it is deep green with gold flecks. People stare.
Having worked in a major car manufacturer paint shop, all cars come in stages of grey. Black, all the grey white, none of the grey. Dark grey, medium grey. Silver (light grey.) If you want an exotic color you can have greenish grey or bluish grey.
This was the best review on this SUV I’ve seen , it was fun , and entertaining and sexier that Scott Kilmers review lol , the only thing I’m not crazy about is that it has a timing belt instead of a timing chain like the CRV , but looking forward to checking out your videos , subscribed ! 👍
I once bought a used 97 Isuzu Trooper, 5 speed manual V6. Manual windows. a radio with cassette player. Limited slip diff. ABS. Beast offroad, gas hog on highway. Could tow a camper trailer, and was likely a 4/5 on the meatball scale.
It's the bias against Honda. Had it been something else, it would have gotten 4 or stars. Check out Roman on the Fast Lane car and Goldmine Hill with the Pilot vs the Highlander. That review was so unfair to the Honda!
Did I hear a sewing machine motor? (lol) For another $15k you can get a 2020 Corvette C8 But, you sacrifice being able to carry any family, or groceries, or soccer kids, or soccer equipment, or groceries or a comfy road ride versus just a rad ride (lol) Love your reviews, great job Sarah !
Hi Sarah love your videos just wanted to say had an Isuzu pup it went through anything even when it flooded it would go through the flood not do any damage to it it was an amazing truck but only a two-seater thanks for all your videos
I've got the Acura TLX with the J-series V6 and the ZF9 gearbox. The gearbox is crazy. Its got two dog clutches in there, and it makes for some weird shifting. The transmission is begging to be a manual! I only every drive it with the paddle shifters to keep it from going crazy. I didn't like it at first, but then I began to like that I needed to sort of try and tame it. Its a wild transmission with a mind of its own and doesn't want to shift when it supposed to when its in auto. Even with the paddles, its got some violent shifts. But I love it!
I really like when you go off on random weirdish tangents midsentence. All that Honda knowledge floating around in your head got the better of you a few times here. Another fun review.
You what else was a Collab, the Acura SLX, one of my favorite Japanese luxury suvs after the MDX PMC, the MDX Type s, the Lexus RX black line, the LX, and the GX.
Release the Kayla! Great review, as usual. I must say the off road test was rather impressive. You've driven actual 4x4s on that same hill that had to take a couple of tries.
Don’t think you could ever be boring did sound really good even through the TH-cam‘s even their minivans look tuff. You know you’re getting pretty good at this🐔🐧🤞
Also check out the Isuzu VehiCross. I've had my 2001 model for quite awhile now, and NO ONE who asks about it (which happens a LOT) can believe it's an 18 year old vehicle.
Whee!! That mystery cubby hole looks to be about the right size to hold a couple of cassette tapes. I can't imagine what else, or why you would ever want cassette tapes...
Ooh, you should also name your key locations. Such as Wacky Warehouse, and Walter's Wash, and Riley's Ridge, or something better than my suggestions. I see key locations in your reviews so if you name some of the locations then we will be able to recognise them, similar to Top Gear's corners or straights naming, etc.
Got the looks and the brains. Keep up the good work. Nice to see that you are doing what makes you happy. 1 more sub for you keep being you! All the best!
Lol you said j-series in the vid and it activated my iPad thinking someone said hey Siri... thought it was part of your vid at first... never seen that happen before
I love your reviews. Just a suggestion with all the tech nerdy stuff - for all your non-American metric watchers - and you have a lot of them - maybe place some kilowatts and nm and litres to the 100 in a banner as you read out your hp and ft/lb torque stuff. Your watchers will love you even more. You did say 3.5 litre engine...
Another awesome review, Sarah. The Honda looks like a really nice car; and very capable too. Two moments of absolute greatness: your growl...and the penguin in the glove box. Keep on keepin' on. Love your channel. Hope you can safely clean your camera after the mud shot.
Agree, with the basic looking rear but the front looks good. It seems to have good power to weight ratio, this would explain why it's better off road than the trucks you've reviewed. Keep these beautifully made chickens coming 🐣
This video just about tipped me over from Toyota to Honda. I was looking at the 2021 Rav4 TRD. Saw a bunch of reviews of last year’s Rav4 TRD Off Road (including yours). I was overall disappointed in the Rav4. You mentioned the power was lacking in the Rav4 but it seems the Passport has it. Guess I’ll have to go do some test drives. Additionally, if I were to purchase the Honda Passport elite, for the price I could just go with a 4runner, sacrificing a tad more fuel economy. I love Toyota, but Honda makes a great engine.
I'm so happy to see a new upload from you when I get home. Great to shed off the stress of the days work. Yup on the lazy driver, I can't believe they are making the cars do what you should already know how to do when driving...Pay attention people...yer phone is not that important.
The little crossovers climb better due to the weight distribution. Pickup trucks by their nature have light rear ends compared to the weight in the front. So especially going up hill while there is plenty of power it is not transferred to the ground as well. But if you were to put 500 lbs or so in the rear the trucks would do much better on up hill climbs. Especially true for the big super duty truck you previously reviewed. Being blunt, your off road looks like a Sunday drive for the family car.
You're really impressed. So why not 3-4 meatballs? I'm really digging my 4 month old, "Obscenely Blue"-Touring Passport here in S.E. Texas. Great review. Ciao Bella! peace y'all, e.
It probably has torque clutch vectoring like Explorer which will eventually sometimes still slip if the computer sensing fails, but until it does it's almost like front and rear lockers. The trucks you had were probably only auto limited slips with only rear locker. Power Wagon should do better locked since it does have both.
The rear shade extension and the aggressive front got me thinking it was the Ford police interceptor. Very similar style and size. Wonder if they will try to get that market as many police and fire are using them for staff and patrol vehicles
Love the s2000 interior, but it seems like gauge clusters are an after thought these days. For a premium price, they dipped fairly heavily into the civic parts bin and General Motors the shit out of it. I’m talking ‘bout you 1985 Pontiac Grand Am.

@andy bosik I'm not sure, but I think beans are measured on a dynamometer
I like all the Honda Nerd references. Temple of VTEC!
Xenolite aye! You caught that 😉
Honda makes the best over-all cars in the World...reliability and ease of driving is unmatched.
My 2016 Accord has that same V6 engine and it is buttery smooth. Absolutely love it! Great video as always Miss Sarah ☺️
Excellent Review! Great effort! I'm gonna look a little bit more at the Passport... I thought it looked nice too!

This is an impressive vehicle. No hood struts 🙁. I like the 9 speed and intelligent all wheel system. Nice! Thanks Sarah

2.5 meatballs ... impressed the hell out of both of you ? what would a 5 out of 5 do ?
You gotts a strange scale going on there..
that's what i was wondering. it didn't hesitate up that hill and only got 2.5.
Yea no shit !!! I was wondering the Same

Just for reference, GM's 3.6L V6es also have cylinder deactivation, not just their V8s.
Got the Honda Ridgeline and just put at tires and a 2 inch lift, much better now

All these off road test are cute. Every time I see one, I think a Crown Vic can do it also.

I’d be interested in seeing a 2021 Honda Ridgeline review. That is unless you have already made a Ridgeline video 🤔

Off-road reviews could use a timed rally stage and a fastest list, sports cars a tarmac course perhaps.

I agree with you on all that lane departure crap. If you need that stuff ... then maybe you should be walking or taking public transportation.
You best review so far!
Love the s2000 interior, but it seems like gauge clusters are an after thought these days. For a premium price, they dipped fairly heavily into the civic parts bin and General Motors the shit out of it. I’m talking ‘bout you 1985 Pontiac Grand Am.
These review videos always make me smile. Sarah, at what speed are you at when you do the braking test on a paved road?
Hi Sarah , wondering if you could do a review on a 2020 Honda Ridgeline when they are available.
Always enjoy your videos 😊
Thanks for all of your hard work 😊
Give us an OFF ROAD wheel/tire package with HPD awesomeness/shocks/springs
You had me sold till you said ZF 9 speed transmission. Those transmissions are having a lot of hard , slamming shifts, ZF 6 transmissions were garbage too.
Don Rutherford Yup. Wait for Honda's in-house 10 speed. And I'll pass on Subaru's CVTs. Guess it's back to the trusty 4Runner.
I like these trucks Honda make nice soft offroaders
Yet another awesome review👍👍. Thanks for helping me get through the week and putting a smile on my face. Hope you nd the felion are well. Much love babe
I think white with black rims would look great.
