i know this vid is really old, but thanks, the right facing one by the crystal switch was driving me insane. getting him to come out of the water at the right angle is what was messing me up, it's braindead easy after that
Do you actually have to go to the pause screen before performing the up/left maneuver after moving 1 pixel down? Am just curious if that matters or not or if it's just a strat for switching items in the process.
You didn't really explain the hold left and pull sword out very well. Do you hold left first and THEN pull your sword out, or do you have to do both at the exact same time? Does it matter how much time elapses between when you press left and pull the sword out? So many very important details you left out. With these sorts of things you have to be VERY specific, you can't leave details out.
Another good point, you're right I could have been clearer. To answer, you can actually press either button first. You can put your sword out first or move left first, or both at the same time, it's totally up to you!
@@AceZer-ti2ui Thanks, I saw that it was easier in practice rather than trying to explain it. I can see how explaining these things can be tough, however I am still a bit confused on the nudge left maneuver, as that is what I still fail on the most by far. I end up pushing the block because I am simply trying to replicate what you do in the video, as you kind of just move diagonal into the corner and most of the time it doesn't work for me. Everything else tho was well explained and I always get all of those on the first try.
Also, with the nudging left advice after placing the block, you aren't being near specific enough. Do you have to end up on a certain pixel? If so, how EXACTLY do you get to that pixel? Do you have to tap up and left at the same time? How do you do it and is there leniency with it? Will it fail if you aren't on an exact Horizontal pixel row? These are details you simply can't leave out and you did. You told us what to do but not at all how to do it. Odd considering you told us how to do all the other steps but you left this one completely out.
Good questions, you tap up first after placing the block then move left after reaching the correct horizontal position when using the cane of somaria method. It is fairly lenient with what position you are at, and is easiest to move higher than you feel is necessary if you are having trouble. If you move too high, you will jump off into the water and can move down to re-climb the stairs and try again with the existing somaria block. If you are too low you will go too far left and push the somaria block and will have to break the block and start over from the beginning. Hopefully this helps!
@@AceZer-ti2ui It does, thanks! Due to the lax explanation it was this part that I've been struggling with the most, as I keep pushing the somaria block out of position and having to restart. There was really no instructions given on how to do the "nudge left" maneuver. So you basically just have to walk into the corner of the block from the right then, good to know. It looked to me like you were trying to actually move diagonally up into the corner of the block or something in the video, it was very confusing and was not at all explained clearly. To be honest I am still not completely clear on it. I'd love to see it actually shown in a future video, shown how you're supposed to do it. Cus in the video you kind of just slide diagonal up into the corner and it works, but then a different explanation on how to do it is given. So yea I'm still not totally clear on the best way to do this.
Thank you! ive had issues with the leap into water, quickly press down right, menu, click right, blah blah. this is much easier. Thank you!
Got it on the second try. Thank you!
Really helpful description of especially the left-facing setup for this.
