Are there "tank vibrators" that could be attached externally to help the trub mass move/release/break down in a more fluid fashion instead of "logs" or slugs of material?
@@MadeByMartyn No worries about blocking this smaller pipe it’s less compacted at the top and isn’t as settled as the bottom you would be surprised by the results as I use the same tanks and brite tanks myself and tried both ways too :)
That trub is a head ache, at least you got it out without losing to much beer. Cheers Martyn 🍻👍.
Great video. Poor Charlotte though 🌊🏊
She was fine.
Dried off, showered, got changed, carried on :-)

Now that's an intriguing idea...
Alot of what your calling trub- is of course yeast- i hope you saved some of it- it looks great
I'd already harvested all the yeast I'm likely to use. What came out here was a good mix of trub, yeast and hops :-)
what length of camlock hose was on there?
Quite long - about 30 foot out into a drain. I flushed it after to avoid any clogging.
Why would you want to dump trub if its going into a brite just take off beer off top and dump after? Seems like so much extra work for no reason?
The distance from the dump valve to the racking arm is such that the amount of trub and dry hops is way above the arm even when rotated fully up.
@@MadeByMartyn Ah I see! Maybe you could try dumping through the higher up valve though would be a lot quicker and cleaner?
@Pazey1 the racking port is a lot smaller diameter and I'd be concerned about creating a blockage.
Taking off gently from the dump valve seems fine.

At 10:37 it looks nice!😀
It's really strange watching it - quite relaxing.
