This was my grandpa’s guitar and amplifier. It looks and sounds beautiful. Thank you CVG! It’s in great hands.

@@christopher-miles Unfortunately no. I actually don’t know how to play, and it’s the kind of guitar that deserves to be played. When my mom and grandma brought the guitar to CVG, they played it for them. It was a very meaningful experience.

Love when the family members get to see just how big of a deal something their loved ones prized turns out to really be. Thank you for posting and it looks like you grandfather might have the most well loved Broadcaster I have EVER seen. Thank you for letting the world experience this amazing piece of history.

It's a story that is well-known to many of us, but well-loved too. Great retelling by Walter 🔥❤️👍

Great to see Mr. Carter back. Him + vintage guitars = excellent content.

That middle wiring iteration also included a #2 notch position that gave both pickups and as in James Burton's Ricky Nelson songs, out-of-phase. Great historic review!

Hey Walter - Remember when Color TV first came out. I think our family had our first one around 1968-1969. And we had a remote control for one that made a high-pitched noise to change channels. But, getting back to the Telecaster - they’re my go to guitar. I like a Telecaster better than any Gibson, or Strat, or Gretsch. It’s simple. It’s easy, but at the same time it has a ton of variety. You wanna play Rock - you got it. You wanna play the Blues - you got it. And Country music wouldn’t sound like it does without the Telecaster. And it’s usually always in tune, unlike the Strat, or a G & B string on a 335 or an LP. I’ve always liked the simplicity of the Telecaster. And I still like a Sweet Tea on a hot summer day.

Very cool guitar. The "Nocaster" is pretty darn rare. Even cooler that you still have the ashtray.

My good friend here in Southern Oklahoma found a legit Nocaster at a music store...it had been slightly refurbished believe it or not but still legit. It was taken to Nashville some time ago to be authenticated and he didn't want to sell it at that time....oh man
