First you need to Import your provider's certificate under the settings.

If you don't have the info for it then the chances are you don't need it.
It allows your VPN server to assign group profiles to modify what they can access via the VPN.
For example say you have a business with sales staff, marketing staff and IT support staff - you can use the identifiers so that IT support staff can remote onto servers but not the other profiles
