La computación neuromórfica es un campo que está en pleno desarrollo tanto en el diseño de nuevos materiales, como de softwares. Su aplicación va muy ligada a los procsos de machine learning e inteligencia artificial. Estos mecanismos consumen demasiado energía, por lo que los dispositivos neuromórficos pueden ser una gran alternativa para disminuir su consumo energético y aumentar su eficiencia.
