This is one of my favorite stories from the Bible and one of my most Favorite Love stories not to mention that i love how the very trap that Haman set for Mordecai turned out to be used for him...

Esther is my favorite bible story and this is by far the best movie about Esther ever made.

In the book, when King Xerxes leaves, Haman was terrified because he knew the king was going to do something terrible to him. In terror he pleaded to Queen Esther for his life when he fumbled and fell on her “Angel pushed him.” That’s when the King came back and was furious seeing Haman on top of his wife. And said that famous line: “And He will assault the Queen while I’m in my house”
The way the movie portrayed this scene with Haman taunting Queen Esther and the King grabbing Haman from her was beautiful. The look of fear on Haman brings this scene to life.

In the past 2 days, I have watched it four times. The intensity between the king and queen is so visible in their facial expressions. Luke Gross played his role so well.

Beautiful scene of the movie Esther; she was a great example to all Christian women. King Xerxes was an example of true biblical love to all godly men.

I love the story of Esther & I LOVE this movie but, Can I just say I find this line so sexy: “Does he also assault the queen, MY WIFE, as I am in my house?!” And I’m not trying to be disrespectful but, in my opinion that’s bringing sexy back. The world works overtime to make disrespect - to make sin look good and appealing. To see a husband, a man trust, love, and defend his wife - HIS WOMAN, that’s sexy - that’s inspiring. God’s man should be Hollywood’s man.

Same here!!! This story made me want to visit Persia/Iran as a kid, but then I was warned against because I was told it would be dangerous for me to go there for a visit. I hope it changes (hopefully in my life time) and Israel and Iran and the neighboring countries can make peace. The fighting has been going on for too damn long and it has to stop!!!!! 😭

I just saw this movie for the first time earlier today, and I can't be the only one thinking this: Haman and king Xerxes are like the perfect personification of Scar and Simba from the Lion King. Like if they were humans instead of Lions, that's what they would look like.

This movie is beautifully made and is one of my favorite historical movies. I do wonder why Hollywood has never made the story into a movie before. It seems like it would’ve been perfect for Cecil B DeMille during his era of making biblical movies. I’d still love to see ones for Nebuchadnezzar and King David.

Haman started teasing Esther which made me very mad
In the Bible, Haman became terrified instantly when Esther exposed his plot to Ahasuerus. And she pointed out that Haman erected the stake to hang Mordecai on.

That isn’t in the Bible at all that’s purely something made up by the production.
She exposes Haman by saying someone is trying to kill her and her people so he asks who and she says that it was Haman. This whole thing with Haman choking her out is also made up. It’s not in the Bible. I mean the whole thing is in the Bible in the book of Esther so….you could just read it.
After researching the historical Xerxes I... this Xerxes has a bit too much "boy needing guidance from his advisors" I think. But as far as what we know soley by the Bible... this is amazing

I love this story in the Bible and It is a true story and still has the Feast of Purim associated with it to this very day. Now I would like to see a full production of my very favorite Bible character Joseph and his brethren/ Jacob; Genesis 35 thru Gen 50. God is so Good to put together Life lessons from true stories out of The actual Word of God! Jesus loves you and died for you to give you new life for old if you just ask Him and accept Him as your savior.

good movie, but some key points where missing or merged. 10 chapters of Esther should have been easy to follow and write into the script without changing some key points. I did find the movie enjoyable.

If you watch very closely on the horses, they actually show a swatica pendant. Now, I have not traced back the lineage from Hitler back to Haman, or know going backwards from the lineage of Haman to the root, other than the vile hatred of what God promised Abraham. But the same demonic spirit is alive and well with what's going on against Israel today. "Come, let us cast them off that they no longer be a nation in remembrance."
