Very helpful! I done all of these. Thanks!
Great tips, thank you! Not battery-saving related BUT for those who are looking to buy a new Watch 6 or Watch 6 classic, any 20mm watch band from a previous SAMSUNG smart watch should work! Especially given the price and quality concerns with many of the new bands, it can be a great option :)
The Google assistant thing was a big help. It was consuming 50% of my battery life and I didn't know why, I use the assistant for everything so It was impossible for me to turn off but Thank you for specifically explaining what was draining the battery. Got an extra 8 hours just because of this change.
I just made that change on GW4 classic! Hope I can see some big difference as yours! (then I probably will not upgrade to 6 :P)
We must be the exception.
My wife has been using her 43mm 6 Classic with WiFi & Cellular for about a week.
She hasn't tweaked any settings (except temporarily silencing notifications while in meetings) and still has 50-55% battery remaining after a full 24 hours of use.
After hearing some of the horror stories, we're extremely pleased with the battery life.
Yea im blessed i used mine all day long and at the end of the day ive got a good 70 to 80 percent left on mine, i dont use the AOD but do use for calls and such and battery last quite a while
Great! Hopefully it learns the use of the person like everything else. Mine is brand new yesterday full charge at 7am 100% its now 2.30pm and on 20%
same. Will it get better? Has urs got better
It seems like battery life is most affected by Google assistant and interactive watch faces
The heck!!!
Thanks! Reducing notifications to only show urgent ones seems really doing a lot. Turning off wifi also helps a lot. Also if you're working in a space with static lighting (e.g. your room, office) try turning off adaptive brightness.
I'm 5 hours in since fully charged and my watch only drained 8%
Very useful. Thanks
Great tips video.
Got my watch 2 days ago. Fresh out of the box, 1 charge and the battery goes from 100 to 20 percent within my 6 hour shift at work. Haven't fiddled with settings yet but that's unreal drainage
Watch is still learning usage patterns. Give it sometime.
Is it better now?
It could be a bad battery. I returned my first one and the replacement lasts a day longer.
I have the same thing happening to my watch smh
The first 3-4 days are not indicative of the battery life. The watch is learning your usage patterns. It is programmed to do that. Wait for that process to finish before making any assessment of battery life.
Thanks big dawg
so do you still keep bluetooth on on LTE watch? shoudl turn it off ?
Litterally just make a portable battery into an armband to wear right behind the watch so that it can keep it charged for days. Just have a ring style charger contact so that the wrist can still connect. Have that think be moisture wicking, non slip and display battery charge level and youre good to go.
I don't have Google assistant on my watch but still drain my battery like anything. It's a new watch and I am confused.
Good tips, however, Samsung could do a lot better with the battery and optimizations and battery size. We would not have to make concessions with all the settings.
The battery size should have stayed near the same as GW5.
Hey guys! Any tips or tricks to save battery life since I'm using this watch just for sleep only and a basic casual watch nothing else. And do I need the health app installed? Tracking steps is so annoying
Thank you 🙏
What is the name of the watch face you have on this video
I need bigger band's the one on the classic just fits comfortably on the 2nd from end hole with me
Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic 47mm
Regarding autonomy - 55 hours my watch worked on a single charge - from 100% to the 10% mark. Operating conditions: Always on display disabled. In the background, 2 applications (Health) were constantly working - one of them every 10 minutes. measured the pulse. Notifications are enabled - the watch successfully received mail, instant messengers, TH-cam, etc. Every day - measured blood pressure, did a cardiogram, pulse and stress (more than once a day). 1 - 2 times every day received calls and talked for an average of 30 seconds. I also played with all sorts of settings, chose dials, etc. I didn’t monitor sleep - I took it off at night - about 9 hours every day lay idle. I liked this result as for such a device.
Question doesn't the Adaptive Brightness use battery? I do keep my display at 40%-50% as you mentioned but thought the adaptive brightness was a sensor so I turned it off.
Thoughts?
Adaptive brightness uses ambient light sensor. It uses very minimal battery but it's really helpful for seeing out in the day light, else your watch is useless outdoors. That's why it should be kept on.
@@TechnoProz makes sence. thanks I will turn it on vs. Increasing brightness when I go outside.
Can you help me to use ecg in Cambodia for iwatch ultra? ❤
Personally, i don't see a problem with charging it every day or every other day.
With always display on what's the battery time you getting out of this watch ??
And charging it sucks to it will charge then wont charge and its brand new. Then its so sensitive u have to dtm to find wats not gonna disturb the charging even if u aren't necessarily bothering it
So, just after switching from fitbit Versa 3 and was impressed for the first few hours, it's a much smarter watch and is a better fitness tracker.
Issue is battery, without even using the GPS, the battery struggles, meanwhile the Versa 3 would last 3-5 days with GPS usage being relatively high.
I bought Samsung watch 6 LTE 44mm and am able to extract almost 28-30 hrs of battery life... I don't enable everything all out but keep things limited like heart rate at every 10 mins. Step tracking... Disable connectivity apps and only enable what is required... It does work..
My watch is 2 days old as well, and I pray that it's still optimizing as the battery drain is terrible. Most of the settings this guy covered were already off. Hard to tell though with the speed talking combined with the accent.
These watches cost hundreds of dollars but can't quality battery life? Sigh Sammy. 🤦🏾♀️
Mine is just consuming 2% per hour.. after 15hrs worn I am still at 70%.
I took it out of box, did initial setup, changed the watch face and thats it. I haven't touched anything else. I do receive quite a bit of notifications during the day.
Which watch face are you using?
In standart used it is Mac 40 hours . when all features are used, 24 hours max
I think you mean max :) short-form of maximum
I got the Galaxy watch 6 classic 47 mm my battery from day one last two days with everything on except for always on display after about a month of having it I get 3 days with everything on besides always on display oh and I also have off location location is what kills the battery really quick
But i want to ask, if you have used it the way u discribed it - how many hours or days the watch will work without charging????? Kindly reply
Around 50-52 hrs which is about 12 hrs more than advertised by Samsung.
How to avail stc pay in samsung classic 6 in my watch
43mm size has smaller battery than 47mm. Does this impact the battery life? If yes, then how much difference.
Can you please answer.
47mm is too big for my wrists. If there is not much difference in battery life, then I will go with 43mm classic. If there is difference, then i would need to explore 44mm normal version which has bigger battery size than 43mm classic.
I think it's about 25% less battery life. So if you have optimal settings and are constantly using apps on the watch, you'll probably hover around 28-36 hrs of battery life after the initial battery adjustment phase.
It's because it has a bigger display so the bigger battery basically balances it out
@@FlopD0g0 that is only partially correct. The bigger screen scales up the power usage of everything using the screen, leaving out sensors and all background services. Always on Display consumes 15-30% of my battery in one cycle. So the bigger screen of the 47mm ver. would mean roughly ~5-11% more battery consumption. While the battery capacity is 30% larger.
btw. @Harsh, I actually bought the 43mm a few weeks ago and I get around the 36hrs which I estimated.
-low screen brightnes.
-always on display active.
-heart rate every 10 mins
-sleep mode during the night with sleep tracking
-digital watch face with black background
-wifi off, bluetooth on
I try to go into sleep settings to turn it off, It said I cannot open the app.
I have watch 6 44 lte version for over 20 days
And I use yt,browser , music and nothing else but still my watch is left with 10 percent battery after 7 hr
Is it normal
And is power saving mode helpfull
Can battery of 6 classic be replaced whig bigger one same on 5 pro of even stronger
No
Why are reviewers comparing the 6 classic to the 5 pro? Since the 5 has a 410 mah battery - that should be the one the 6 Classic should be compared to.
Reason is, is they're comparing the 2 best versions to each other, so watch6 classic vs watch5 pro. They're simply trying to let people know if they should upgrade from watch5 pro or not, or which one of those to get if they have a older model.
Right ive tried this im on 20% at 2.30pm from 100% at 7am ill see if i get to 5pm with these things off
Is it normal for my battery life to last around 24 hours? I have all functions activated at the moment if that helps
I'm getting the same more or less. It's a huge disappointment honestly.
24 hours for me with everything on.
We have to accept Samsung watch has worst battery life
LOL! Ever owned an Apple Watch? Apparently not. How about the Pixel Watch? Yeah, didn't think so, they're way worse. I'm getting over 2 days on my GW6 Classic with out of the box. Good enough for me.
What settings did u turn off?
@grajesh83 It depends, I hardly ever use AOD, I turned of "hey Google " and just use the the side button. I turned off "auto update", I like to know what it's updating so I can delete anything I don't use. I have "location", but not "precise." I have "auto workout" on but I usually have "heart rate" on manual. I use any watch face that looks good from the Playstore. I "adaptive brightness" on because I go in and out all the time and I don't want to mess with it. I have WiFi on at home, but not at work, I don't use wifi away from home. I haven't used sleep tracking yet, but I don't use it very much, just every once in awhile to see what it says. That's pretty much it for now.
Not my watch 5 pro baby boy
Apple*
I bought the 43 classic with lte and after 9 hours of moderate use only 5% remain.
Very very disspointed
Ive got the 47 with lte and am getting 2 to 2.5 days of use before i charge for 45mins then its maxed again
for initial few days battery will be very bad ... till watch learns the usage.
thats what im going thru now. I had mine 2 days. Has it improved?
@technoProz what is the watch face @ 4:15
MD221
Is the difference between continuous heart rate and every 10 minutes really that negligible?
In terms of battery life? Then that's not much of a difference.
I was getting about 60 hours on a charge and then I turned on Bixby and routines and it failed to 12 hours only
Another reason to hate Bixby then 😆
W vid
I have watch 6 clasic LTE 43mm. I charged it to full with everything off except bluetooth(wifi, LTE, gps, adaptive brightness etc) and just kept it in on table whole night. Screen was off completely. It just gave 16hrs. If i actually use the watch with all these on it will hardly give 4 hours around. Also, samsung website claims galaxy watch 6 44mm LTE with 425mh battery can last upto 30 hours*. Wheras watch 6 classic 43mm LTE with 300mh battery can also last upto 30hours*. How is this possible? Both the watch have exactly same specifications except 1mm screen size.
I'm hoping to hate this watch slightly less with your great tips. Thank you!
How much battery time are u getting with these changes?
I would like to know too
40 hrs is advertised by Samsung but with these changes I'm getting full 2 days or sometimes a bit more. That means 50 hrs.
@@TechnoProz Watch6 44mm or Watch6 Classic 47mm? Which one are you referring to?
Rewatching the video, I think it is the Classic one.
@@AnDr3xGamerclassic 47mm
Tbh. I'm reluctant to spend £300 big ones on a watch that requires a charge everyday.
The reality is overtime it's gonna get worse. My fitbit sense just about clings onto 2days as it's 3 years old.
I'm inclined to wait for the tech to improve to allow for larger battery's.
the battery life is basically the same as my galaxy watch 4. I was disappointed..
What is the watch face at 0:20?
MD237
Where did you get that watch face from
Link for faces are in description.
I have watch 6 44 lte version for over 20 days
And I use yt,browser , music and nothing else but still my watch is left with 10 percent battery after 7 hr
Is it normal
best way to avoid battery drain problem is not to buy and wait for a better one
what is the use of turning off feature for the product purchased for 40k
My fitbit sense 2 had a battery life of nearly one week...
Wht Is tht watch face called?
Check link in description for face.
I finish a 8 hour day with 92% battery that's with heart monitoring on, music going through ear buds, texting back to ppl as I get texted.
I know that's a lie
You must not have the lte version.
@@popculturewatch8689I thought that 2 but maybe it’s the non lte version. Because the lte version no way in heck not even on an Apple Watch.
Of course you do 😂
It seems to be hit or miss with the 6 classic.
After 6 hours of regular use today, my wife's 43mm 6 classic WiFi/LTE is at 94% (not streaming music).
Much better than we expected but not as good as what you're getting.
How much battery u get with these settings?
I just got it yesterday so today is the first test day. I had most of these settings configured like in the video and after 14 hours of moderate usage, I'm at 9%. I listened to an hour or two of Spotify.
Supposedly, in older versions, it analyzed your usage for 3 days and after that it improves the battery life. I'm hoping the same feature exists on the 6.
This is with the 47mm classic.
@Lost1nTranslation ouch that's not even a full day :/ I have the 5 pro but I charge it every 3rd day. I'd love a garmin but the text and calls and features aren't as optimized as I'd like
@@JesusPerez-yc6yu I definitely considered the pro 🥲
They didn't have it in stock at the store and I believed the claims of 30-40 hours for the 6 classic which didn't seem too bad if accurate. I'll follow up in a few days if things change lol
And the Garmins seem amazing (although I don't think it comes in lte which was a deal breaker unfortunately =(
@@Lost1nTranslation i guess on the first day we all overuse the watch just to get to know it better. Keep it up with the updates and thank u
what is the watch face @ 03:51. Not in the description
MD325
Lol I gave up no matter what you do this will only last a day just like the 4 classic 😅 pop to charge every night good to go next day 👍
I'm getting over 2 days. But, yeah, charging is so hard to do. 😂😂
Did all of it, battery life still sucks. It's a shame this day and age Samsung, which is the leader in innovation has one of the shittiest better life watch out there. Kinda embarrassing honestly..
I just bought the six a couple of days ago. The battery drains so fast its ridiculous it only lasted 3 ½ hours into my wirk shift fully charged. Then today it didn't even last 2 hrs i had to put it watch only mode for it not to die. Im trying to find ways to last at least 8hrs. Im starting not to like the watch since its my first official smart watch
How is it everyone is getting 24+ hours yet I’m getting 12 most
Turn off watch?
Literally got mine yesterday and have had to charge it 3 times IT LOST 75% BATTERY WHILE I WAS ASLEEP
that's only whilst it's calibrating your use rate
HR uses far more battery than a bright screen ...
What!!!!!
🤦♂chatastrophic for a newly launched watch to speak about saving battery, how can I trade in my Huawei GT3 for it when my battery will lose just 5% a day? I do not understand Samsung here, why would they still come up with such an awful performance, it is a pity because they lose a lot of customers.
From 2 days to a day and 1/2 to now 6 hrs now wtf
So annoyed with this poor battery life, my watch doesn't last even a full day.
We shouldn't have to turn things off to save battery life when the whole point of a smart watch are the things it can do.
My Samsung active watch lasted atleast 2 days and that's a 5 year old watch.
My LG g watch R last two days and that's 10 year old watch.
It's gotten to point I try not to use my watch 6 to preserve battery life which is ridiculous.
For more battery life turn off the watch.
Apple watch is WAY better. The Galaxy 6 ALWAYS disconnects from my phone and gets stuck in reboot.😡
but Apple watch looks gay
