The SCAR is almost always one of my favorite rifles in games where it pops up. BF4, Ama 3, etc. Still love it in Sandstorm. Didn't realise people hated it.
I've been using this gun for the last couple of days. And found that even in close quarters, it's amazing with single fire. As soon as I go full auto I miss and dump a mag. Resulting in death. Single fire permanently and you're unstoppable.

If the new doctrine was introduced when the scar was being developed then the scar probably wpuld have won.
The sks and scar were not supposed to be each others counterpart. At the start of the beta, the fal was on advisor in the place of the sks. Originally the fal and scar were each others counterpart. They switched the fal for the sks, because of the G3 on security. Which from the community's perspective was a more logical counterpart to the fal. People were complaining that insurgent rifleman did not have a battle rifle like the G3.
The SCAR performs bad like an assault rifle but works great as a battle rifle, i found that super short bursts, and tap firing and using it like a DMR but at shorter ranges makes it Shine. If you wanna use it as an assault rifle its fine, but the low ammo, high recoil and low ROF will give you trouble a lot of timed.
I cannot thank you enough for this video. It convinced me to try it years ago ad I fell in love instantly. I never looked back hundreds of hours later.

I love this weapon as a marksman weapon. Slap on a bipod and 4x optic and you can hit targets at a pretty good distance. Not ideal for close quarters, but a surprisingly forgiving marksman support weapon
The gun doesn't have bad recoil its straight down use a 2x red dot and u can spray long range people and out snipe snipers also use extended mag the setup on it I use is 2x RD reload grip and whatever barrel attachment u want with a light carrier then whatever else u want
Sidearms for the most part are useless 4 shots to kill from the highest damage pistol cartridge makes it pretty useless just use a reload grip pistols are stupid unless they free points to spend

There's a Reason why this gun always ALWAYS depicted have Elcan Spectre ×6 Magnification Scope on it, Support Frontline Troops against any similar adversaries that would take them out of their range can't wait what you think about G3 or FAL
SCAR 15P is chambered in .300 BLK. I don't think the 15P was available when this video was made so I am not sure why the OP said that .300 BLK was one of the viable cartridges. Also, .308 is not an available caliber for the SCAR platform. 7.62x51 is. A lot of people think the .308 and the 7.62 NATO are interchangeable, and this depends on what caliber the rifle is designed for. The .308 cartridge has a thinner casing, making it capable of higher pressures. This means that a weapon designed for .308 can fire both .308 and 7.62 NATO, but a weapon designed for 7.62 NATO is not meant to fire .308. This goes opposite for .223 and 5.56x45. 5.56 is capable of higher pressures than the .223. You CAN do it, and many people do in the SCAR 17, but according to the manufacturer, the caliber designed for the rifle is stamped on the barrel (7.62x51 NATO) and any damage caused by firing hot self-loaded rounds, or .308 rounds, will not be covered by the manufacturers warranty. FN voids the warranty on the SCAR for several reasons, some of them are dumb (using a suppressor) and some of them are valid for safety reasons (using a round with higher pressures than the rifle is designed for).
If you’re using this thing in full auto, you’re doing it wrong. Never seen a .308 rifle take more than two shots to drop a body. It’s a DMR with the ability to do some close up work. Great for holding an angle, don’t need to worry about switching to a pistol and spending the extra points to buy one to clear a building or defend a push like marksman has to. You can support your fraggers without worrying about getting too close and getting caught off guard like gunners do. But none of that is as important as how sexy it looks, if you don’t look cool then what’s the point?
Seeing him use auto on this gun kills me, it's actually really good as a semi auto in game u just two tap everyone, tar 7 is better now for cqb but scar is better at longer range, it's more of a dmr than ar in this game.
yeah but playing competitively is all about auto. I realize it's a 1-2 hit kill but using it on auto and wasting a bullet or two won't kill anyone but the bad guys. It's also a video game so why does it matter.

While yes your right, depends on the SKS. AKs have 16 inch barrels, where as SKS rifles have both 20 inch and 16 inch barrels. Just from experience at the range, my 20 incher SKS seems to be a bit more accurate out to about 300 meters and farther then my friends AKMS and my other friends AK. But then again, most games use the 16 incher SKS and not the 20 incher
Try semi with a acog and recoil grip laser and muzzle brake its a one shot period and if u need a 30 round mag go ahead but having 20 rounds makes no difference to me it drops them in one shot
