You helped to inspire me and motivate me to level up I was a severe iv heroin drug addict for many years, but kinda held it together. This past winter I was finally able to put down the dope and its been a journey to say the least. I've started making my own content on youtube and sharing a glimpse into my life to try and show people that it is possible to make it out of the darkest of places. I film at work framing houses and plan on filming some riding this winter too. Just got a gopro 11. Might have an extra spot at our MTN spot at Killy this winter HMU!

As a PT student, love that you’re supporting Niso. Throwing up obvi means you/ he went too hard. Going from 0 to 90 reps 3x / week is a big jump. Also what are you training for w sets of 10? Hypertrophy? 5 reps probably a better call. Strength is what matters and will bring size gains given the most important piece is there… which is durability / consistency, so don’t get so excited you push too hard at the beginning (throwing up) only to never develop a proper pattern. 8 weeks min needed for solid gains… Make it doable… 10# in one week too much as well… but mb start eating lard? Gl

But as for what we’re looking for to start with and why 10 reps? We’re doing very light, not to burnout, 10 easy reps to build control muscles in workouts he’s never done before with the lowest weight available or no weight. This is to not hurt himself or pull muscles or drop weights on himself for the first few weeks till he’s not shaking like most beginners. As for the 10lbs thing, did I say 1 week? If so that’s absolutly wild haha I meant to just set a first reasonable goal of gaining 10lbs, to not get too ahead of ourselves! Hope that clears up anything! Yewww!!

Interested in your take Casey… I’m mostly a rock climber and I weigh a similar amount to you: 162-175 range. I’ve found at the lower weight, I perform well, but I get injured more often. Could be not enough protein but I do try to keep that up. Have you noticed anything like that? P.S. 35 and hitting my quarter life crisis right now too! 🤙
Hahaha yewww!! I feel like the lighter I am the more limber I am! But I’m light when I do lots of active shit, when I get heavier I usually have not been doing much sporting and lots of heavy lifting and I feel stiffer and slower but I guess stronger when it comes to taking a slam.
