Had my mixes out and also threw two private partys with my room mate for friends and got around 300 people coming over, next step is releasing tunes! Thanks for the advice bro greetings from Uruguay 🇺🇾
I’ve come back after 12months of grinding to re comprehend the topics you talk about in this video. Locked in and ready for another big 12 months. Thank you from Australia 🇦🇺
This is such great advice! Thank you for doing what you do. Ive been giving this question a lot of thought lately, and this video really helped put things into perspective and keep me focused. Much appreciated!!! Hopefully i get to catch you playing in Miami in the near future
Hi Josh, do you think one can make it without actually releasing music? I love playing records but making music is not my thing.... what are your thoughts? thanks for the reply, peace.
Probably not anymore unfortunately unless you have an exceptional record collection with mixing skills to match which I’d guess would take 10 years minimum to acquire
@@joshbakermusic that is really, sad. I like playing records but I don't care about making music. I just wish someone would just let me play at a party a couple of times per month. It's not even about the money, I love my job that I have and not looking for a career change. Maybe one day I would have to run a music business like a label or youtube channel as a side gig just to play at some party.... (A lot more to be said... if you know what I mean). Anyway thank you for your reply man. Really inspirational, I wish you growth in serenity. Peace
@@bodhique7626 you could still build your own party dude! But you'll most likely need to rely on other 'big name artists' to pull in a crowd, unless you focus on building something really unique. Building a sick party is probably the best way to go if you aren't interested in producing.
so basically you need to be a producer to be a DJ of any note. So so sad as for me they are 2 completely different skillsets. What happened to booking a DJ cause they're a master at their craft of DJin
