trying to catch the shadow lugias was awful. just non-stop attacks and it was so far away it was almost impossible to hit the circle. i did about 10 over the 2 days, the moment I got a 15/10/15, I immediately quit 😂 I was lucky there were roaming groups doing these raids as I just play by myself. I can't imagine how much more frustrating it is to be scraping together a group just once and then seeing Lugia flee
I know it's too late now but if shadow lugia ever comes back instead of using golden raspberry use the nanaberries to make it sit still. Because of the large circle I hit excellent throws on almost every throw and because of that I caught every lugia that I tried for.
I didn’t realize how lucky I was when I got my 3* shadow ryhorn on day one of the rocket event. I don’t know how many hundreds of grunts I’ve checked, but I’ve only encountered only 2 more ryhorn that were 0 stars.

yep that cap. Diancie is better. And Aerodactyl is even better as he's a part Flying that will boost XL candies to drop from party flying type Pokemon as Ho-Oh, Lugia, Zapdos, Moltres and Articuno.

Mega blaziken, mega charizard Y, Shadow Blaziken, Shadow Chandelure, and Shadow moltres all have higher DPS. And mega charizard Y has higher everything. I'm a new player, so i could easily be missing something, but at the very least, that's what the gamepress dps spreadsheet says.
Where it says "Top DPS", it is referring to what the best non-Mega Pokémpn is the best Attacker. For Fire, the top three overall is Mega Blaziken, then Mega Charizard Y, then Reshiram. But I didn't necessarily include both Mega Blaziken and Mega Charizard Y. I just mentioned the better out of the two so players who are watching this can just invest in one of them. Also It's not just raw DPS, but TDO is factored in as well. Otherwise, technically Deoxys Attack Form is better than Mewtwo, but it has the bulk of paper so no one ever uses it.
For fire types both Mega Blaziken qnd Mega Charizard Y are tied as its good to have both maxed, as each will have a niche that each will do slightly better in depending on their resistances from their different secondary typing, flying for zard and fighting for Blaze. Theh both have a nearly identical ER value as Blaze has slightly higher dps but zard has slightly higher tdo and thus their overall performance is just about equal, as both are the #1 fire mega

@@john_titor1 IMHO, the reshiram comes with a very unique speacial charged attack (FF), however... a charged attack is only as good as how fast it can be ready, in other words it has to be coupled with a fast attack that generates good energy. Groudon for one has precipice blades which actually takes more energy than fusion flare, however what makes Grodon good is mud shot which can get the blades ready in a snap, so IMHO what reshiram needs is a good fast attack made available.
For me personally, and I consider myself to be a pretty experienced pokemon go player, I would say anything 3* and above is worth it and maybe in some cases a fringe 2* with high attack I will build if its a rare enough shadow. For instance I got only one shadow cranidos from this rocket event and it was a 13/7/7. I made it anyway because I knew I wouldn’t get another one without frustration for a long while and I can deal with the fear of missing out if I get a better one in the future. The stats really dont change too much in reality theres only a 7% damage output difference in raids and gyms for the 0/0/0 and 15/15/15 for any given pokemon
Another sidenote is that if you are planning on using said shadow pokemon for pvp I would suggest being a bit more stingy on getting better IVs as the bulk does come into play more often and sometimes CMP ties (Charged move priority where if you throw a move as the same time as the opponent with the same pokemon as the opponent the pokemon with the higher attack will throw their move first) can win you games.

It's because of his move set? I thought he was way better than Xerneas. And the same with Darkrai in dark type, I expended all my raid passess expecting that a singular pokemon was best, but some very common pokemon ar better. 😢 Am I correct?
Shadow venu, and shadow torterra are similar to shadow tangrowth as grass attackers and shadow sceptile as well and zarude is the best non shadow non mega
yeah, Tyranitar will last longer on the field. Though i would recommend Mega Aerodactyl due to many Pokemon are part flying type and there for getting the boosted candies and XL candies when catching Pokemon that shares a typing with the Mega evolved Pokmon.
It last longer due to it's stats, and part Dragon type makes it resist Water moves. But you will take more damage if the Kyogre has Blizzard. More like one-hit KO.
Great video, I wish there was an explanation of CP in raids. What is too low and what is good. I feel like I must have 2-3 3000-3300 CP Pokémon of that weaken raid bosses. As a new player this year this is mildly infuriating.
CP is largely irellivent. Its just a calculation of stats. But stats arent the whole picture. Levels and movesets mayter much more. Blaziken might be king, but if its 20 levels under its competitors or does not have blast burn it falls way behind. Level 40 is max for most players. Level 50 for players above 31. Raid bosses are caught at level 20 or 25 in weather boost for reference. CP is just a representation of TV at pokemons base stats, current level, and ivs combined. Plenty pf pokemon are trash with high cp like slacking. You need to find which Pokemon you can easily boost the highest.
CP is not as important as having the right typings, moveset, and levels. I promise that a 2500+ CP Greninja is doing way more damage than a 3000+ CP Gyarados. Generally, you want multiple raid attackers at Lvl 30+ before you start maxing them. Quick way to check is look at how much it takes to power up the Pokémon. if it reads at least 4 candy 5000 stardust, it's Lvl 29+. At that point, it's probably good enough. I usually power up my attackers to the exact point where it starts taking 6 candy per power up, and that takes me to Lvl 31.
@oneonone8855 i prefer Smack Down. Does more damage for me. I hate bite on any mon. Unless I'm playing the actual series games. Bite for Pogo is very dookie for me. Non of my mons that can learn bite have bite as fast move. I've been using my 2 hundos with smack down for Tr n gym battles. Smack down runs things. But nice try to get me to use a move I dislike for pogo

I'm not surprised that he did not mention darkrai in this video as (IMHO) it lacks a good move set... but I was expecting to see guzzlord as dark top mon.
My feeling is that with a Pokebattler rating of 1.17, Mega Garchomp should be a really easy duo and not worth overthinking. While Mega Gardevoir with Charm + Triple Axel looks good for this particular raid, I would personally use a Dragon mega instead of a Fairy mega. If you match types with the raid boss, you will receive more XP and XL candy, and Dragon type megas will do super effective damage against Garchomp while also increasing your XL chances. Both Mega Rayquaza and Mega Salamence should perform well in that aspect.
@@ashley-paul true, should be easy as you say. I was ale to Duo 5* darkrai with 1.8 rating so 4* should be piece od cake. I Dont have any mega drago but I have 45lvl Gardevoir that I can use
I used to have couple of zacians & couple of zamazentas, I transfered them one by one as I ran out of storage space especially after I got couple of xerneas & coballions. IMO a fairy with no fairy move & fighter with no fighter move is pointless. If they want to make zacian a true legend they should give it geomancy.
In terms of overall dps you are completely right but your ignoring garchomps massively better tdo and resistances which make it far better than both mamo and exca
@@GorillaField And Garchomp is a part Dragon which makes it reists Fire moves, as therefor can also be used as a Fire attacker and not worry about Flame Charge one-hit KO. Unlike Mamo and Excadril lthat is weak to them. There's just a lot more information and things to think about doing these lists, it's not hard to do this additional work and mention this. I would take this TH-camr life above my 7-16 work life anyday.

pretty sure you are going to need an elite tm to get the correct charged move for rhyperior which is why I'm personally looking for a shadow rampardos

Mega beedrill is thr top poison mega for it has a full posion moveset with high attack stat

Movesets are the reason. Xerneas had Geomancy, which generates energy much faster

It's part of the grind my friend. When you finally get one of the good ones, you have to farm up the trash for the Stardust to power them up.

I've never run Bite on my Ttar. I always use Smack Down as the fast move. I'm personally not a fan of bite
The good news is that Smack Down generates a lot of energy so it can still be useful with Brutal Swing.

If you match types with the raid boss, you will receive more XP and XL candy, and Dragon type megas will do super effective damage against Garchomp while also increasing your XL chances. Both Mega Rayquaza and Mega Salamence should perform well in that aspect.

What about zacian as a fairy
There are better options, Zacian can't learn a fast Fairy move which throws it down the list by a lot.
I used to have couple of zacians & couple of zamazentas, I transfered them one by one as I ran out of storage space especially after I got couple of xerneas & coballions. IMO a fairy with no fairy move & fighter with no fighter move is pointless. If they want to make zacian a true legend they should give it geomancy.

@@GorillaField And Garchomp is a part Dragon which makes it reists Fire moves, as therefor can also be used as a Fire attacker and not worry about Flame Charge one-hit KO. Unlike Mamo and Excadril lthat is weak to them. There's just a lot more information and things to think about doing these lists, it's not hard to do this additional work and mention this. I would take this TH-camr life above my 7-16 work life anyday.
