Been fishing there for 35 yrs.. anything S or W is the Roanoke bite..If MLF would've come in late feb- April u guys would've been fine w/ the boundaries but coming 1st of June & not being able to go past 32 bridge really hurt u guys..That place is way better than it has showed thru Thursday..Its ALL wind tide, the rougher the better. Summer months will be only time u come outta Pembroke into the sound running that fast.😂😂 Sorry, u didnt make knockout rd , getem on the next one. God bless!
@@brentchapmanoutdoorswould have been way better had they scheduled this tournament for march or april. Most guys stuck shallow and it would have showed out big time. A few guys are figuring out a little better bite off the bank in the clear water.

I've been fishing this river for 30 years and I ask myself what went wrong all the time.
It was brutal. My timing was just off I guess. I know it has giants! I’ve caught great fish here.

Which rod do you use for a buzzbait?
Bladed jig rod or spinnerbait rod. Both are great.
