6:55 Is my biggest issue. As a Skye main with 340 matches total, ranked in ascendant 2-3. I feel that many of my biggest errors and missplays comes when listening to my duos/teammates suggestions on my playstyle, that's when I get out of my own focus and try to adapt to what they think is the right play. Not saying I don't missplay when doing my own stuff, but there's a big gap in the error.
this!! im only plat, but i find that it is SO hard to actually play what i'm told to play (e.g. "play here they won't expect it" , not things like "play cross with me"/"trade me"). not only does it break my focus and make me so easily overwhelmed, the suggestions are often things that are wayyyy outside my comfort range or just outright not my playstyle. for example, i know i have a slower than normal reaction time, so i often hold unexpected angles rather than swing things (on my own at least). getting told to swing so unexpectedly just makes me panic, whiff, then die lol
Maybe also if there is the “best in general play in that situation” and the “best play for you in that situation” (not in general). They may be different and if your ‘stats’ don’t match the ‘general play’ then you have to account for it. Also tbh the more time you spend playing & practicing the better you are. My brother is immo & I always see him on, or at least playing two comp games a day & he has done this since beta. Consistancy^
Then igl. You know it all you tell them how to play the round out your asc2-3 your obvs making comms so why are u following your teammates misplays whilst your consciously thinking it’s a misplay instead of actively thinking pre round and then adapting mid round then leading the way for you too make the correct call of what to do to your teammates
no offense to literally anyone, but thats one of the only points in this video that actually IS talked about way too much. LOL. Idk how you picked this one out of the bunch.
I will say as a player who started in iron 1 on my first pc game - Iron - Plat is game time(with this comes mechanics and better crosshair placement) and aim training while watching what pros do in games and think why they do it Diamond - ascendant refining the base mechanics more and more and looking at patterns enemies do to manipulate it to your advantage. As well as having a pre round plan in your head if you position somewhere to get out or just get as many as you can and die. Immortal 1-2 (where i'm at now) where everything really comes together , economy , trap plays to win rounds , playing with teammates , stuff like that. when I was ascendant climbing to Immortal I kind of had to do a mechanics overhaul on myself and force myself to hold wider so I don't have to move my mouse and just click because people love to swing wider than usual. Now that im pushing immortal 3 IMO it feels a little different now and I can hold slightly more tight because they're gonna stop and try not to swing into multiple angles at once. Honestly refining the base mechanics to perfection is what will increase your skill level massively.
About looking at the crosshair, a great way to practice not looking at it is playing non-ranked with your crosshair disabled, which will after some time automatically give you the feeling for if you are aiming at the enemy or not without even seeing the crosshair, and it wont impact your rank negatively (atleast it was what helped me with that problem)
He just means you shouldn't get tunnel visioned. And his method works for players with good crosshair placement. If you're aiming at the ground and not looking at your crosshair, you're not getting anything done. Good cH placement and having awareness is what's going to give you the best out of this method. Idk how to explain it better than this. For eg: if you're aiming at garage door on haven on attack and your crosshair placement is perfect, you don't have to worry about someone killing you from garage and now you can turn half your attention to a possible B push.
was imm3 and quit val to go back to CS. I can say that these are REALLY nice tips. I've applied most of these before unconsciously but it's still nice knowing this vid isn't BS. Keep up the good work man!
such a unique and helpful video, man. i just gave a last chance to watch this kind of content cause they repeat the same routines, but this one didn’t disappointed me even a bit. thanks for the advices and i hope your channel grows as fast as it can 🥳
this was honestly quite a helpful video, not repeating the same info that's being uploaded since the release of the game, I found quite good tips from this, thank you. honestly what I've learnt from playing this game are. 1. being calm will help you a lot rather than tilting. 2. warming up is not about how much time you put in, it's about you feeling that you're hitting shots and the time it would take depends on you, one day you'll just need 10 while one day you might need 30. Dont queue if you're not warmed up since in the long run it'll just make your rank up journey longer. 3. movement is just as important as aim, making it both work together will help you win more gun fights. 4. don't take ego fights, focus on taking 1v1's 5. communicate with your team before the round starts about how you plan to play the round and also ask if anyone has any suggestions. 6. just mute toxic team mates rather than saying anything back, 9/10 times a toxic team mate will not give you any valuable info rather than just thrash talking. 7. vod review to know your flaws. 8. have at least 2-3 roles you can play in the team comp, with 2 agents per role, to maximise your win percentage if you chose to fill, in lower ranks it's okay to instalock duelist but remember that wont guarantee your win. Out of 100 games, 20 games you're gonna win no matter what, and 20 games are gonna be lost no matter what, so focus on winning the rest of the 60. 9. after vod reviewing you're gonna know what type of playstyle that suits you, next is to find a pro player or a radiant streamer with similar style and learn things from their stream. (in lower elo a lot things you learn wont work up until plat or diamond, since lower lobbies play with a different mindset) 10. having a duo or trio will help you win more games since you have someone to trust on your team and coordinate plays. 11. being lower on the scoreboard doesn't mean you're playing bad, as long as you're doing your job and making easier for the team to secure rounds, it's all good, like no one is expecting you to have 30 kills as a smoke agent (controller) 12. learn to comm, like learn places on the map, just call out enemy agent, position and damage if any, keep it short and simple. 13. try not to backseat the other players either since we all know we want to win and end up over communicating which also backfires.
I think 8 is bad personally. You should choose an agent to play and stick with it no matter the team comp unless you are high elo. Team comp does not matter that much until higher elo like ascendent.
This has definitely been a great video as i didnt observe any points that have just been repeated, same as other tips n tricks videos. Great work dude!
What I like to do for vod review is once a week I review a game I did really well in, one I did alright in, and one I did poor in. I find it helps me identify which areas I struggle in and which areas when I do well in provide more impact.
This is so random and i love your content so much, its genuinely of such high quality and its really helpful. Are you Marrentm on youtube? You have the exact same voice, the editing style is similar and the thumbnails are also edited and put together in a similar way. Much love keep up the good work man
that trust is key part is super hard. I used to also do filling and i got to diamond but it was like hitting a wall. top fragging but losing because I wasnt using a self-sustaining agent was so difficult. I switched to instalocking reyna till i got to ascendant, but now it kinda feels different. Im more impatient and bored whenever there are defaults etc. I noticed that when you start playing in ascendant people tend to play super safe and i dont know why? maybe its just me but thats my two cents. Very good video!
tysm when i look back at the moments where i played well and where i played not so well then i see that every point you just talked about is what i did ( i mean with the not looking at the croshair and stuff like that)
absolutely love all the tops you cover Kaz, in other videos also, been watching you for a bit now and havent seen something ive yet to disagree with, keep it up homie :)
great video. I am ascendant 1. I play 2 matches at max every day. Though I realise what mistakes I make, I wish I had enough time to vod review myself properly
I recently switched from an Omen and or kayo main to jett because I found my games to be much more inconsistent and too reliant on the entries. And now it seems to be pretty good so far.
As someone who hit immortal last act and this act on 2 accounts. Finding a duo and being consistent with a positively serious mindset is what helped me climb the fastest. Of course I got demotivated at times but I would just watch pro vods on my agent and get motivated to try again. I was hardstuck ascendent for a year. You just gotta keep grinding and have fun. Please have fun. I took the month of December off and took a break to enjoy life and the holidays. And join the Air Force. But I’m back grinding with my duo with a fresh mindset looking into episode 8 with my fresh new immortal charms and premier champion charms and title.
I've recently been in the worst streak of my valorant experience, falling to almost iron 3 having peeked at silver 1 and desperate because I cannot win games now. I can only play few hours per week but this video, this is the beggining of my path into ascendant. Thank you kazebuchi.

I usually still won't play fills since I've been in so much situations before where my jett just plays back and baits while I usually just entry. Don't fill in low elo just tap heads
I’d say to instalock which agent you play better with cuz if you fill it’s almost like ur “trolling” but if there are no smokes I would fill cuz it’s the most important role basically
What a great video, many things right and I will implement many things you have said in the video, I leave my sub for the great work you have done :DDD
when i was top fraging in some games some teamates says like they are feeling bad for me becoase we was loosing but when i says like np K/D means nothing they started to play well and they started to be positive and confident
thank you for your video G, but honestly when you said “trusting your duelist” had me kinda off cause everytime when i see someone bring duelist they either too cracked or just lay down like a guest in the bottom frag at this situation they make us lose motivation to win
when ever i think about what i did wrong i feel like not playing anymore because i make the same mistake consistently that has a simple solution i keep on forgetting
8:40 about watching the pros there is video's where you can hear their coms (Finatic coms top tier) and they review it too boasters a genius. Great video just wanted to add that.
Nice video, i am in gold and everything make sense (ofc). you really helped becoase i am really chill player and i dont wanna be target of trash talking and these bad things. now i know: trash talking means nothing and i better follow my mind
had two duelist instalock in silver3/gold lobby and i usually play duelist and end up filling sage (i dont mind at all) i tried giving them a benefit of a doubt, but like always they ended up bottom fragging, and the reyna is relatively new, so idk about trusting others, its better to trust yourself, and dont rely on your team
After watching this video on a MacBook with a 120 hz monitor, I finally understand why my friends told me to get a new PC if I seriously want to rank up, instead of playing with a 60 hz non-gaming old laptop... 120 hz is just SOOOO smooth...
For me I still haven't found my agent. I thought I was a Sage, KJ and Skye main but recently I found my pick depends on the map. For example, I played Split and Icebox as Raze and went positive but on agents I've played way more (see earlier in my comment) lately I've been struggling to feel confident and play at a consistent level. I'm super inconsistent in general, but it's just something I've observed. One moment I go 31/18/7 as KJ on Lotus and the next I'm going 8/18/3. Edit: I also tend to hate filling smokes especially due to the fact that people will insta-lock duelist and expect you to fill then do nothing as a duelist. I also spent 4 months solo queue grinding to Gold 1 from Bronze 2 (I dropped to Bronze 1 at one point) and I often filled so at this point I'd rather find agents I'm most comfortable and limit filling if I can help it.
momentum is very very real. This for just one match aswell. If the first 3-5 rounds i dont get any kills, Even if it was whiffing or not having the opportunity, it throws me off my momentum for the rest of the game, losing that flow feeling when aiming.
2:28 trust my duelist huh, yes it’s good but I’ve recently seen that all the games I lost except one which it was a bigger problem with me, there were only 3 players getting frags while my Reyna was 3 kills or lower and their duelists were pretty much killing the game with 30+
Wouldn't it be better for the long run though to just instalock the same agent every game so you get good at them? then you yourself will get better even if you don't win, which will lead to you winning more games overall. just a thought though idk
I play 3 hours every other day. That too if I don't sleep for the day. What you are saying is too time consuming. Moreover, I know I will get good. It may take 2 years or 3 or maybe more but I know if I keep improving and keep playing and never stop learning, I will hit the in game peak.
A bit of a different take. Many coaches I’ve watched videos on I always says to pick about 2 agents you like or understand the most and insta lock because they’d rather you be comfortable than have a better comp
Amazing video man... All of the 12 minutes had just your voice... Not a single gameplay sound and still watching the video was more interesting than some random gameplay!
broo fantastic video.... i had a question that i cant record a vod cuz of my shitty pc but i wanna climb and still vod review. i consistently get 120 fps without recording and with all aplications clossed... what should i do ?
actually such a fantastic video, so many things in here i've never heard anyone else talk about. excited to see you blow up bro

I play 3 hours every other day. That too if I don't sleep for the day. What you are saying is too time consuming. Moreover, I know I will get good. It may take 2 years or 3 or maybe more but I know if I keep improving and keep playing and never stop learning, I will hit the in game peak.
Hey Marren loved the video
you should make a video like this in valorant th-cam.com/video/kBAXpnriybM/w-d-xo.html
love the video you got my sub
A bit of a different take. Many coaches I’ve watched videos on I always says to pick about 2 agents you like or understand the most and insta lock because they’d rather you be comfortable than have a better comp
at 5:19 which melee was it bro I never saw something like that before
Love the videos ❤👑
Amazing guide
There are way to many smurf in the game and that makes it hard for player to rank up.
Start with Duos, not with straight 5 stacks, and get to know people better. Hm...
Good advice. :)
great video marrentm
For the people wondering how to practice the first tip, go into unrated and turn off crosshair
Such a great video - could you share your crosshair and DPI/SENS please?
You should probably be using something you're comfortable with, not what they are comfortable with
This was an amazing video
Very motivational.😊
u earned like sub and comment ur video was great
How do you manage to hold your crosshair at exact the same level while Livingstones left to right? I have hard time to move in a line?
Amazing video man... All of the 12 minutes had just your voice... Not a single gameplay sound and still watching the video was more interesting than some random gameplay!
I appreciate it!
broo fantastic video.... i had a question that i cant record a vod cuz of my shitty pc but i wanna climb and still vod review. i consistently get 120 fps without recording and with all aplications clossed... what should i do ?
What are your pc specs?

no words, but well said.
"impress yourself, not others" dam this is smth I never heard
I never play rank since I still new to the game. 😂
Good educational video to learn
wow this video helped me so much, had to come back to comment.
Question. When vod reviewing, are you watching the entire match? Or kills / deaths?
What’s up marrentm?
