Some analysts think it;s risky for ECOWAS to adopt a single currency ..but it's not risky to have the Euro as a single currency

    • @eyeofthetiger6002
      @eyeofthetiger6002 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

The difference is the Euro is used by enough countries that are rich enough to bail it out should it come under attack by currency speculators. However, many analysts have pointed to the elephant in the room, and that is Italy and its extremely high debt levels; should investors and lenders lose confidence in Italy's ability to repay its debts, then the Euro could come under attack which may spell the beginning of the end for the Euro!

I love this man. Firm. And a true representative of African upcoming young stars. One thing i would advice the African leaders is that their plans must be discrete from western ears. They will intervene and delay the processes of self governance and freedom. We need to come together as afRica and cast out influence and do our own thing. We really have everything here in Africa. They need us . We don't need them.

We need private black corporations ok. We need these top businesses to work together for one agenda. You guys make life hard for us because its really not that complicated.
I find it hard to believe that we dont understand that control starts with businesses and that we build a society based on a number of businesses which act as the base in each institution.
I am looking for leaders who want to launch these companies that will actively employ our people to make our agenda a reality.

Take the case of the EU, not all these countries that use the euro have the same economic potential. How can you talk about Guinea Bissau being a sick man in the block and at the same time advocating for a single currency and central bank for Africa. @@trollasaur3012 historically Africa has been extremely easily manipulated by others.
It has been very rare when they have been able to unravel a deception and get out of it. The score is like 1 million Europeans to 10 Africa - mostly Magifuli is catching the deceptions. Poor Africans go to their oppressor for every single problem and election they have not realizing the chickens are going to wolf for help.
Of course you know who is behind boko haram and all the jihadi in Africa - the new york times says boko haram has the most sophisticated drones in the world - and spectacular weapons top class in the world.
So Africa with the ecowas pushing out desperate colonizers will not be the ugliest series of events in the world. - france is not afraid to start a full scale all out war over this. - Africa will have to realize they will have to fight everyone by themselves and deal with all the deception, economic sabotage and everything by themselves.

Also, the name of the currency must not be ECO. It must be a name deriving from other African currencies like CEDI and NAIRA. So first two letters of CEDIS and first two letters of NAIRA. Which will be CENA. It sounds fresh, it sounds better and the look of it looks strong and inviting. If the new currency is printed in Africa, it will create jobs for at least 1000 thousand direct and indirect jobs.

Another important step to be quickly taken should be fighting to evaluate the devaluated African currencies against the euro and dollar etc which were purposely designed to stagnate our economies and undervalue African commodities in the world market.
This must happen with a one market policy all over africa with regards to resources the world cannot function without and of course with a common currency Which is already in the making.
THANK YOU AFRICA FOR THE BOLD STEP ON THE MOVE

A problem can arise if one country takes on too much debt and wants to print money. The other countries in the currency union will not want the danger of potential hyperinflation by too much monetary expansion. In Europe, we have risked future hyperinflation by bailing out Greece. A better policy would have been to let Greece re-introduce it`s own national currency and suffer the consequences of taking on too much debt. Hopefully, Africa will learn from Europe`s mistakes.

This is about unity and team work of Africa. .. looking at the risk is good but these risks must come with solutions and stop making some od the member states feel like they will loos everything when they join. .well is about helping and working as a team to remove any challenges that is there or may have come to achieve a better Africa for Africans. The EU had a strong mind set and worked as a team and now they are progressing which Germany never looked at what they will lose but rather keeping each member states back. Ecowas go on with the strong mind set, work as a team, don't let the tipical African minds and Europeans mockeries stops you from this because they are afraid of Africa and that is how it should be. If they did it, we can do more than what they have achieved as eu.

Most poor and developing countries are in Africa, the richest continent. The unity, brotherly, and understanding have been broken. Fixing it and liberating the minds of Africans would go along way. Citizens of Africans have great responsibilities to play, but the leaders have greater responsibilities, to stand firm and not let their minds be played with.

This single currency will struggle cause as you mention economic realities are different.from one country to another Some countries would benefit more than other. All would depend on economic strategies of countries that share the currency. It would be difficult to set the value of the eco that suits all countries. For me Africa should focus on political stability stronger institutions education for all children then start the harmonisation process.

So where is the central bank going to be located? Are those countries economically similar? Otherwise, you'll end up like the Eurozone where you have Greece which is suffering while Germany which is the main beneficiary of the Euro simply because the low interest Euro helps German exporters while Greece suffers because it's spending way more on borrowed cheap loans than it actually earns!
