Lock JBL up in a room with Atsushi Onita. Yes , the Onita that tried to get José González ( bruiser brody's killer ) to japan to have a not so kind word with Jose including the yakuza.
It seems to me that people's take on Bradshaw depends on the angle they're viewing him from. In the middle is his actual work: there are both fans and detractors to his wrestling, commentary, and presentation. It's a solid but not outstanding body of work. It seems that whoever sides with him will like it because they'll give him more chances, and whoever hates him will find reason enough to bury and discard his work. It's obvious why people hate Bradshaw: bully, loudmouth, often drunk, crossed the line between ribbing and hazing. One who would see the business from the perspective of a new wrestler or employee who would likely be a target of JBL's antics - one who imagines one day entering the locker room and wanting it to welcome them - will hate the man and they will *fear* him, yes, fear even when he supposedly can't take a punch and shit like that. To a person who views the locker room from the perspective of management or an established employee, though, having a personnel filter is valuable. Bradshaw, as Cornette points out, was a constructive bully: when he picked on you, his desired response was a standoff. Goading people into a fight to gauge whether or not they're respectable is a crude, ancient tactic, but it usually works. With JBL the problem was that there were tough/respectable people who didn't respond as he expected, such as Steve Blackman: No response right up until the point Blackman almost fucking murdered the poor guy and had him publicly grovel. Brian in this segment often talks about how supposedly Bradshaw was only around for so long because he sucked up to Vince and Vince loved all the smoke John blew up his ass, but my theory is that Vince valued Bradshaw precisely because his torment in the locker room would mean that the people that lasted in WWF/E were the kind that wouldn't crack under pressure, and would stand up to their problems. Similar story with Ron Simmons in contrast to Ahmed Johnson. And then there's the ultimate proof of the fact that JBL was more of a filter than a pure bully: The Undertaker. Mark is considered one of the most respected locker-room leaders of all time, he's the guy who guaranteed Shawn would do the job at WM14, and hardly anybody has a bad word to say about him - whereas he has shown that he's not going to slobber all over somebody just because they're friends, something people in this comment section are accusing Cornette of. And this legendary locker room leader, do-gooder putter-over, loyal and productive worker.... Is best fucking buddies with Bradshaw. Not only that, from what we know of locker-room confrontations, when Mark would make a call on somebody else's misbehavior, he'd have Bradshaw right there as his bad cop/prosecutor/ whatever you wish to call him. They worked the locker room and maintained order together. In light of this relationship, I find it very difficult to agree with the current mainstream "condemn Bradshaw" stance. Now, a bunch of the things I've referenced are far from firsthand information in my book; I wouldn't be surprised if somebody replied just to try and tell me that Ron Simmons actually wronged Ahmed Johnson or something like that; so I'm not saying I'm definitely right on this matter. But just think this over real quick.
JBL is just a jock that gets a kick out of making young wrestlers miserable and I'm surprised because i heard Harry Smith was one of the guys he bullied I'm surprised that kid didn't knock JBL the fuck out.
He wasn't high on the pecking order though i believe it was around 2008 when JBL had a comeback for a year and JBL was in a main event spot and Smith was on heat.
Yeah, as someone who was bullied tons in high school, I knew people who tried to defend the bullies by saying how nice they were to them. It was bullshit then, it's bullshit now. Just because a bully is nice to you doesn't make them any less of a worthless piece of shit. I hate Vince Russo. I hated the Brawl For It All. But, I LOVED seeing JBL get what was coming to him. And if JBL's breath didn't smell like Vince's cock, his career in the WWE would have been quite short.

Ribbing and joking around is one thing but it seems like JBL just didn't care about Mauro's mental state or if he did then he didn't bother to show it. So if him bullying Mauro is true then he should be fired.
JBL came up in the business in the mid nineties under the old school thinking of you push a new guy that you're unsure of until they either break or buck up. The theory went that the ones who broke just weren't cut out for the business with the added bonus of you got to see exactly how far you could push the guy who bucked up before they would. Vince has the same mentality, I bet that's why they get along so well. If Mauro would fuck with him when he has the power, when the mic is hot and JBL says something stupid, he might get some heat for a minute, but I bet JBL would cut that shit out and probably respect him more for having the balls to do it.

The following from #JustinRoberts book regarding bullying he received during his time with #WWE. Someone from #Smackdown stole Justin's passport from his bag on the final night of a tour to the UK. It was never returned. He had to go to the US embassy in London to get it reissued. "Stealing a passport out of someone's bag is a pretty evil rib and not giving it back means it's no longer a rib". Cornett obviously is one of those guys who doesn’t care about how bad a person is as long as they’re nice to them. Like the dumb old ppl who say how sweet their serial killer neighbor are to them
I mean that's the way it should be. It sounds bad but let's not pretend to care about other strangers experiences when in reality we only care about ourselves. It's very popular to pretend like you care so you can look good on the Internet but let's be real you don't give a fuck and neither do I. Was R Kelly a bad person? Yes but it does effect me? Nope. So why should I pretend to care? Apply that logic to your life and I'm sure you'll find happiness some day
They should really chant "fire JBL" on smackdown. Would be very ironic if the universe won't even achkowledge this despite the anti-bullying campaigning WWE has done.
Is bullying one of those things you have to experience to really care about? I never got bullied growing up, but I never picked on anyone either and I couldn’t care less lol
I'm sure JBL has redemptive qualities. Most people do. I'm not even saying that he's a bad bloke. However, he seems to think it's funny to fuck about with people who he thinks won't retaliate (aka bully) and soon backs off when stood up to or straight up knocked out. He probably never said a bad word to Cornette because he knew that Cornette would verbally destroy him and humiliate him in front of the locker room. However, does that mean he is a bad guy? No, but it does mean he probably has a questionable sense of humour and an elevated sense of self-importance, particularly in an era when all the big boys, bar Undertaker, Simmons and Austin, had gone from the WWF.
I love Corny, but as he’s someone who goes on 15 minute tirades against Vince Russo for killing wrestlers’ careers and making fun of JR’s Bells Palsy (all fair points) and who has wished death and horrible acts upon Vince Russo on many occasions and challenges him to fights, him telling Brian to “calm down, cowboy” at 8:09 seems a bit much for me

@@mikespearman1414 lol, I guess you bring up status in high school because those were your glory years?
#FireJBL
How'd that work out for ya?
I love how no one mentioned the Broomstick story involving JBL.
That first story was on that story time thing on the network. Episode one if I remember correct
Yes, it was.
To be fair, it sounds like Cornette knew him before he had stroke and started messing with people backstage.
Brain cry’s too much lol
I thought Ron left Teddy pissing in the wind.
JBL tells great stories, so therefore he isn't a bully.
Chris Benoit told great stories, so therefore he didn't murder his family.
I personally, will defend Benoit to the end. I can't believe he did it. If he did, his brain was so far gone, it was unrecognizable.
"We don't talk politics." Well, that changed a little bit over the years, huh?
Pretty sure he meant him and JBL didn't talk politics.
Apply that logic to your life and I'm sure you'll find happiness some day
Brian is right
JBL making a level-headed guy like Brian feel so much heat is exactly why JBL is such a good heel.
Ron Simmons out in the blizzard "DAMN!"
Wrestling needs heels.. without heels Wrestling dies. Cornette understands j.b.l. Brian is too caught up in it.
JBL was good on commentary though
um he said that peel out story before but it was Teddy who got left behind 🤔🤔
I love how Brian doesn’t pop for any of Cornys lines lol
I don't think you can really bully JC.
Sounds like JBL is Jim's butt buddy.
Chronic Blues youre a child
@@ultraviolentlight2867 you’re calling that dude the child when you called JBL Jim’s butt buddy take a look in the mirror bud
@@AustenHilton read what you wrote again and translate that into something I can make sense of
Somebody needs to ask JBL what happened in his life that made him that way?
Weird how that story changed years later to it being teddy long stuck in the snow
They should really chant "fire JBL" on smackdown. Would be very ironic if the universe won't even achkowledge this despite the anti-bullying campaigning WWE has done.
When the business was full of tough real guys not wusses pretending to be then this wouldn't even be an issue.
Is bullying one of those things you have to experience to really care about? I never got bullied growing up, but I never picked on anyone either and I couldn’t care less lol
Half say he his, half say he isn’t. Clearly he picked his targets
JBL was just messing around. So many sensitive little girls in the business
Absolute love jbl
Disagree with Brian lol
did ya know that JBL beat up the Mlue Beanie for real?
And they paid him a lot of money to just go away after that. So Vince & the higher ups have known for quite a long time now.
But JBL got knocked out by Joey styles on a bus
Brian sounds like a snowflake
I too fucked up a sobriety test sober and got booked. Bad times
jbl is a bully and needs firing
This is surprising that their was one guy that most people hates but Jim likes. Normally it is the other way.
JBL vs. Roman at the next PPV.
What's the name of the other guy on this podcast please?
The Great Brian Last
I love Corny, but as he’s someone who goes on 15 minute tirades against Vince Russo for killing wrestlers’ careers and making fun of JR’s Bells Palsy (all fair points) and who has wished death and horrible acts upon Vince Russo on many occasions and challenges him to fights, him telling Brian to “calm down, cowboy” at 8:09 seems a bit much for me
It would have been awesome to see JBL vs Hardcore Holly in the Brawl For All. But they'd probably take it easy on each other and start kissing and snuggling for 60 minutes straight.
The day Vince is no longer in charge of WWE is the day JBL joins the likes of Kevin Dunn out the door, permanently.
Nope Vince will have a list of people for his daughter to "take care of" and JBL will be on the list and she will do it like Vince did for his dad cause "tradition"
JBL at Mania just seems to repeat: "This is Wrestlemania, it's awesome!. I thank the fucking lord I became a teenager in the attitude era, I'd hate to grow up with this shit today
Every time JBL tells stories they sound like he's repeating them as if they're his own
JBL is king still and will always be, Brian is just weak for saying this
Exactly
Exactly
JFK: “Ask not what your country can do for you. But what you can do for your country”
Churchill: “We shall fight them on the beaches...”
The Great Brian Last: “Ohhh FUCK that guy!!”
Big fan on cornette, and agree with him
jbl is better then Mauro
now we are stuck with corey graves because of the snowflakes
