    You do outstanding work David!
    Watching your videos is keeping me motivated so i can finish my 3 mopeds. Today i removed paint from the areas around the cracks in the tank found out that i have more than a couple of cracks hopefully i can silver braze them. I was able to turn the motor over by hand so that is a good sign that the motor is ok. Also decarbonized the exaust pipe. If i am not able to repair the furl tank this moped will be a parts one. The other one is in better shape.
    Cheers

      Good Luck Rob! I’ve never tried silver brazing myself.

    I bought a 72 garelli as "mofa" version meaning mootorized bycicle in germany there where two versions of the same model one as 25 kmh { maybee 17 mph} and one with 40 kmh {around 26 mph} so pretty slow but having experience with other mofas or mopeds you are spot on with you description as garelli beeing the jaguar under the moped category it drives that nimble and sporty even at the low speed german mofa version

    Dave, if you were to shoot up 295 and 95 after leaving annap, I’m an hour away from there. I have two garellis 77&78 new tires on one. Both red gran sports ready for you to get them up to a perfect DFHS Standard. It’s Christmas, I need a few extra bucks. I just bought a Honda Met and a Honda Ruckus. I have knee replacement problems with my health insurance so, swinging my leg over that center area and pedal starting is out of my abilities. If you’re interested, let me know. I’d love to see them look even better with your talents. One needs a condenser. I have 20-25 years of sentimental memories in these peds. I know you’ll give them a good do over and a good home.

    Great video, as always. Can you provide a link to where you purchased those tires?

    • @DavidFixesHisShit
      @DavidFixesHisShit  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Aaron. Thanks! I was trying to buy Pirelli tires, since I want everything to be Italian on this bike, but they don't make a 2.00 tire, and I wanted to keep the skinny tire on the front, the way Garelli intended. I ended up getting them at Treatland and they are Savas. Here is a link: www.treatland.tv/sava-MC11-moped-tire-p/sava-mc11-17x2.00-tire.htm

    I know we sure wouldn't mind a 45 minute episode ;) It's coming along great! I was going to have my wife do the same thing with her Cricut. What alternative method would you recommend?

    • @DavidFixesHisShit
      @DavidFixesHisShit  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not real sure. I’m still researching. But if it could somehow have a front skin that stays on until it is pressed into place and then peels off, I think that would be ideal.

    Looks awesome!
    Also I just realized- how long have you had a new chair? No more tipping over? XD
    I also used my vinyl cutter on my dart! I used a permanent outdoor-grade vinyl on things like the flywheel cover.
    You could always lay the "sticker" on (what I had to do for non outdoor grade vinyl) before you clear coat and seal it in that way too!

      Oh. I still have my old stool. And it still throws me on my ass on occasion. I’m actually editing next weeks video now, and there is a rare double fall on the stool. I was gonna edit it out, but since you brought it up, I guess I’ll leave it in there 🤓

      Hey Antonio... I'm not really sure. I asked my wife and she said she didn't know the name of it. She just dug through fonts on the internet until she found one that matched the Garelli font. Sorry about that...

    Is that paint job from automotive paint?
    It came out really good!

    • @DavidFixesHisShit
      @DavidFixesHisShit  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. Automotive paint from Sherwin Williams. I think the secret was that small ‘spot’ paint gun. $12 at Harbor Freight!

    • @SDsailor7
      @SDsailor7 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@DavidFixesHisShit Is it hard to get the proper mix using the paint and the hardener? Does the paint come with instructions on how to do the mix?
      So you used the spot/touch up paint gun to do the whole bike? Must have taken a long time?

      I'd start by getting her running and out on the road. Have some fun first, and then afterwards, start worrying about making her pretty and fast. Thats my two cents...
