    Sorry for the silence over here over the last few weeks! I am back on the bike and hopefully I'll be riding a lot more! Taking the Iron 883 out again.

    I'm glad to see that you're back and recording again. Even if it's just short rides, it's still good to see. And, I know a little of how you felt, I don't know post-partum, but I am quite familiar with regular guy depression. I don't think any of them are very kind to us, so we have to support each other through it. It's been mentioned in more than a few MotoVlogs that riding is very effective treatment for it. The Million Dollar Bogan most famously talked about it in his good by video. I'm going to miss his content, he was awesome. I still don't have my dream bike yet, but, for me, helping out with my depression is one of the main reasons I want one, why I keep watching everyone's vids. It's encouragement, it's knowing that we can too. It's one of the reasons why I like your content, you're open and honest about circumstances, fears, life . .. stuff we can all relate to. Keep on keeping on . .. it's the best thing for it, and for us viewers.

    Take the test! You will do fine. They go over everything with you. Do it for yourself and I promise, it gives you a new freedom on the bike being licensed. And having a license does not mean you have to go outside your comfort zone!

    Happy early birthday, Jackie! My niece's second birthday is October 12th and my nephew was just born on September 30th. You're in good company! Also, that MSF course is calling your name! The knowledge for learning how to read traffic and look out for trouble is invaluable.

    I think you almost keep stalling because you never seem to use much throttle? I had the same problem when I started out and I either stalled or almost stalled at every light and junction lol. Don't be afraid of using the throttle, the clutch is controlling the bike's motion more than the throttle does so you can use more revs to start with and you won't disappear over the horizon like the roadrunner (that was always my fear) - it'll just give the bike more juice and keep it from cutting out. You have great clutch control, so add in some extra revs and you'll have the smoothest pull-aways going. Your motorcycle test will be a cake walk then!

    • @2kanchoo
      @2kanchoo 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Exactly just so long as you let the clutch out nice and slow you can really rev the crap out of it.

    • @Beth-xk2re
      @Beth-xk2re 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@2kanchoo it was a game changer once I figured that out. Everything got so much easier.

    • @JackiesMotoGarage
      @JackiesMotoGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for the tip! I tried it yesterday on the DRZ and take off was way smoother! Now I need to try it on the Sporty. I was totally scared of disappearing over the horizon like that hahaha.

    • @Beth-xk2re
      @Beth-xk2re 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@JackiesMotoGarage You're very welcome, I'm glad it has helped! It's really scary at first, I felt exactly the same. Ignore the sound the bike makes and focus on slow and steady clutch release and you'll be fine. It goes against every instinct but with practice you'll get there and it'll start to feel like second nature. You'll also find slow manoeuvres like figures of eight and u-turns get easier, too.
