    If the firefighters had water abundantly everywhere, and proper forest management is done everyyear to keep the areas around the urban areas clean, then the scale of this fire would have been far smaller.

    • @TruthSage1
      @TruthSage1 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Wrong, that's not what anybody thinks. Climate change probably didn't cause the LA fires. However, the fact that the air has been warmer and drier, and the vegetation and wood on the ground in forest areas is drier as the result of climate change have made the fires worse than they otherwise would have. There's just no doubt about that. Plus, another consequence of climate change is reduced water for the Southwest US. That's another contributing factor that has exacerbated the severity of the fires.

      Ok forestry, meteorological, underbrush expert. What in your opinion above the first responders is the solution. You should go and help. Trumps cultish talking point meme brigade did nothing but stoke the flames and ignorantly point fingers. This is not a game of opinion. Solutions are necessary nothing else.

    No amount of preparation could have handled what we experienced recently in Los Angeles. The wind was crazy and hundreds of houses were on fire at the same time. Whole neighborhoods were burned to the ground. Anyway who minimizes what happened or tries to blame someone for this tragedy is ignorant and inhuman. Compassion and solutions are what we need.

    • @phobicismist5858
      @phobicismist5858 11 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I heard they cut around $17M from the fire department budget. A measly $10 of that could've bought a couple of cases of much needed water for the firefighters to drink, so I do believe things could have been done better. A better job of forest management would be a good start, at least around the highly populated areas along the coast. And just so you know, running the country based upon feelings for that last 4 years hasn't worked out too well.

    • @anon88427
      @anon88427 11 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      The budget is just a framework. The real problem was that the wind was so strong and too many fires were going at the same time. There is always going to be something that could have been done better in an emergency situation, but it would have been impossible to control those fires with the wind blowing at the speed that it was.

      @phobicismist5858 Please tell the 44 republican congress members who voted against funding forest management measures for the 50% of the land in California that is susceptible to wildfires and federally owned. Please let your republican representatives in congress know that they should support it. Thanks for your support and your concern.

    • @phobicismist5858

      @@anon88427 That's a little vague and I know nothing about the who, what, when or where of what you're talking about, but if you're talking about federal republican congressional members, I'm sure they're tired of their constituents having to pay for California's mismanagement as well. It's one thing being preoccupied with nonsensical trendsetting desires, but it's another matter when you drag others into those unsolicited fantasies, and California has grown very famous for doing just that.
