    It's such a buzz. Even at amateur theatre productions you have this, and it's such a buzz. Missing acting a lot

      Andy Vlogs it really REALLY did! Addams was the highlight of the second part of 2017 for me, and I am really considering working behind the scenes as a crew member!! So not only was Thais great insight but also such a cool way to see behind the scenes in one of my favourite musicals! Thank you so much again and I can't wait for more videos from you! 🖤

    Is there a reason why you’re not running any timecode? I would think that it makes more sense co suffering you have lots of cues with them sometimes being right after one another

    • @AndyVlogsUk
      @AndyVlogsUk  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Fabtastic question! We had a live band that were not using a click track. For timecode to work at its most effective all department’s need to run to one timecode! Hope this answers your question!

    • @jeremyburd20021
      @jeremyburd20021 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That absolutely does answer it, although that brings me to a second question. Are you running OSC via QLab for sound to trigger sound fx along with lx cues and vice versa?

    • @AndyVlogsUk
      @AndyVlogsUk  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Jeremy Burd another good question! The sound did trigger the lighting and i do believe it was OSC (tho it was a while ago now!) i believe it ran a second Q stack that triggered the lightning. This meant that if we had a relaxed performance that we could change or remove one Q and that would stop the strobing from happening!

    • @jeremyburd20021
      @jeremyburd20021 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Andy Vlogs Oh ok makes sense. Are you ever triggering sound with an lx cue?

    • @AndyVlogsUk
      @AndyVlogsUk  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Jeremy Burd you would only ever do it one way saves on confusion. But you could do it lx to sound rather than sound to lx. But i think it is easyer to so it sound to lx. Easyer to program aQlab file to send osc to the corect place on a network, in my opinion

    Please, what qualification do you need to have to work behind the scenes please?

    • @AndyVlogsUk
      @AndyVlogsUk  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! thanks for watching! if I am totally honest... you don't need any qualifications just knowledge. You are able to get this just by working in a local theatre but it will be hard work and fast pace! There are university and stage school that offer courses. These are good as it gives you the skills you need to be able to work in a slower safer environment. If you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask! All the best! Andy Ball

    Thanks for this! Just wondering why you brought up the fader/submaster before taking LX21?

    • @AndyVlogsUk
      @AndyVlogsUk  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hay! If I remember correctly it was for the low smoke we had in the show. The venue we were in made them very powerful so we popped it in a cue later then we would normally! Hope you enjoyed!

    Dear God, I miss acting, even on an amateur level, the feeling when you call out and you are standing behind the stage ready, it's such a buzz
