- The Munch Box has undergone quite the evolution over the past few years. Every week people send me pictures of bigger, more impressive munchie boxes, and with restaurants still closed for the time being, I thought it might be the perfect time to kick start a new series hunting down and sampling some of the finest out there!

Q: How come you don’t get fat?
A: I eat like this for 1 hour of a 168 hour long week. In simple terms, I eat at caloric maintenance over the course of time, meaning I don’t gain weight. If you're interested in learning more, see the ‘But How Come You're Not Fat' and 'It Was Just A Normal Day...' videos.
Q: Don’t you worry about your health?
A: Not in particular. I’m active. I eat nutrient dense foods five days a week. And, I get quarterly bloods done, amongst other health checks.

Neptune is one of Wakey's lesser known gems. Been around for years and I've never heard a bad word. I used to go in there a couple of times a month for their steak and kidney pie, (proper home made crust.. none of that fancy Puff Pastry nonsense...) best in town. That was thirty years ago... last time I went in was last year and it was still as good...

Lol Beard, mushroom sandwiches are ABSOLUTELY a thing!!! Grilled portobello “burgers” are on menus everywhere, and they’re lovely. Mushroom and swiss burgers/sandwiches are also common. I would eat all your mushrooms for you if I could, man. 😢 They’re my favorite.

In America its very strange to have tomatos, mushrooms and to some extent beans. I like tomatos tho, I think it'd be nice to add.

I like both of those with my breakfast but as more of a garnish. The tomato garden has to be contained somehow if you know what I mean. But that is definitely a Mississippi thing.

I watch your videos because I can’t afford to feed myself half the time and never can afford to feed myself up fully. Sometimes I pretend I’m you to feel full! Thank you beard for always having a positive attitude and cheering me up.

I have a small suggestion regarding the mushroom problem that occurs with breakfast challenges. Put them in a sandwich using the bread/toast/fried bread provided WITH the bacon and some of the black pudding. You can always add a sausage if you fancy. Bacon, black pudding and sausages are the best when it comes to hiding the flavour of certain things. Including mushrooms to a certain extent. Also, add LOADS of ketchup. Just a suggestion. Hope it helps!

Mushroom sandwich? Of course. When I was a kid (and sometimes still do) I would have bread and butter with every cooked meal and make a couple of sandwiches of whatever I was eating. So an example sandwich could be some roast or mash potato, sausage, yorkshire pudding and gravy or a fried rice sandwich. Have you ever tried a noodle sandwich? A brussels sprouts and tomato sauce sandwich, amazing!
Re: mushrooms - “they come out me ... (hole / whole?)” Technically, both accurate.

I love the plum toms, when it gets to the end of the breakfast I love mopping up the beans & tom juices at the end. Even save the tom juice when cooking at home. Drink it when eating a fry up. 👌🏼

I enjoyed this video Mr. Beard, I think tomatoes perfectly compliment eggs. Where I live here in the southeastern part of the U.S. we eat fried egg and tomato sandwiches at breakfast sometimes, they are delicious! I love mushroom sandwiches!!!! In fact we make mushroom sandwiches as a family meal regularly. Honestly I think I could change your mind on mushrooms with a mushroom sandwich or mushroom burger. Even my picky tween like them!!!! 🍄
The reason why some people can't digest mushrooms is the way they were cooked. It tooks me years to find out how to prepare them correctly for my body. I personally boil water, then put sliced mushrooms, salt and spices in it, place the pan to the side and let everything sit for a while in the hot water without further cooking it.
