Logic gates using Gears,Marbles & Dominoes

Mechanical logic gates (AND, OR, NOT) made using different daily life mechanical things like marbles, dominos, and gears (cogwheels). The animations are physics simulations. Each of the logic gates is tested and truth tables are verified. These physical systems are completely reproducible in the real world.

If the rotating cog doesn’t grip the bottom rod when it’s rotating in one direction, then it won’t grip the bottom rod when it’s rotating in the other direction. The shape of the teeth does not matter. If it’s missing the teeth rotating one way, it will miss the teeth rotating the other way.

If the bar is spring-loaded, which it is in this case, then a tooth with a slope will cause it to move away and not catch. This is an intro to mechanical principles concept and is used everywhere.

If you have AND, OR, NOT, you can technically make any other gate combining these.
