Why do we change gears in a car ?
มุมมอง 37K3 ปีที่แล้ว
Why do we need to change gears in manual transmission vehicles? We know that, while driving a manual transmission car, we should start it in first gear, shift to higher gears as we gain speed, and shift to lower ones when climbing a hill. But why should we do it? The gear system and some technical terms like "crankshaft" used in the video are not completely accurate. This is to make the video e...

AI learns to Balance a Pole in 3D
มุมมอง 4283 ปีที่แล้ว
Computer learns to balance a pole in a 3D space with Reinforcement Learning. Reinforcement Learning is a Machine Learning method where Computer learns to achieve a goal (Balancing a pole here) by trial and error. AI is rewarded for balancing the pole for a longer time. And it's punished for dropping the pole. After many attempts (2300 here) , it learns to achieve the task. AI Actions: Moving in...
Why is Squaring a Circle Impossible ?

Why is it impossible to make a square with the same area of a circle. Explained the number classifications - Irrational, Rational, Algebraic, and Transcendental and how the Transcendental nature of pi cause squaring a circle impossible.
Conway's Game of Life - 3D Visualization
มุมมอง 4.7K3 ปีที่แล้ว
This is a 3D variation of the Game of Life, a cellular automaton devised by the British mathematician John Horton Conway in 1970. It is a zero-player game, meaning that its evolution is determined by its initial state, requiring no further input. Rules used: 4555 1. A living cell remains alive only when surrounded by 4 or 5 living neighbors. 2. A dead cell comes to life when it has exactly 5 li...

    If we put both the wires together then the switch would always be in on state or there would be electric short-circuit?

    I appreciate this video a lot, it makes this understandable and is entertaining. The visuals definitely helped, I think the size of the gears helped me relate it to the size of a lever. I also appreciate you pointing out that commen sense can be wrong

    first gear has the shortest diameter.. its shown opposite here.. why?

    • @psyphy
      @psyphy 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      As I said at the beginning of the video, this is only a schematic representation of gears focusing only on the physics behind them. It doesn't exactly look like this inside a car. You can refer to this video: th-cam.com/video/wCu9W9xNwtI/w-d-xo.html by Lesics to see it from an engineering point of view. No matter how it is implemented, the physics and logic behind it will be the same, which is what I'm trying to explain here.

    There is a hook in this explanation and all of the kind: π is not a transcendental number. Something that has been proved a couple of years ago. Not only not transcendental but also not 3.1415926.... The exact value of π is 3.1446, proven mathematically.
