No thanks. I don’t want quarantine and I certainly don’t want to pay $200 (or any large sum of money) to stay in a storage container in the middle of the desert. And not be able to enjoy a cold one or have to be herded to a special “quarantine” to pay for a ridiculously overpriced beer. No thanks. I’ll wait for next World Cup to experience goi g to games!

I love it brother,i know qatar is a beautiful country..
Part of the issue is that Qatar had very little existing infrastructure, so as soon as anything went even slightly wrong it could turn into a disaster. Overbooking, for example, is much easier to deal with when there is existing tourism infrastructure. Places where you could bus people to the next town over if you had to. Food is less of an issue when a city has lots of existing eateries, and is able to move supplies from other parts of the country if needed. Qatar had many of the logistical issues a mid size island nation would have, on top of having to accommodate shuttle flights and busses making repeated time sensitive day trips to the nation. I don't think any world cup in the past 50 years has had as many logistical challenges as Qatar had.
The Qatar World Cup container cabin was a visionary solution that not only addressed the concerns of critics but also showcased the government's forward-thinking approach. While some were quick to criticize the decision to not build hotels, Qatar's purposeful approach was commendable - to send these cabins to poor countries after the show was over. Today, it's heartening to know that Qatar has lived up to its commitment and sent over 10,000 of these cabins to earthquake-affected Turkey and Syria. It's an impressive example of using innovative solutions to help those in need.
I stayed at this fan village(E3-29) for 4days.. It was a wonderful experience for me. I did not face any uncalled issues. I loved my stay over there, watching few matches over big screen, eating around.

Qatar is a modern city and there are no crime people, maybe a lot of westerners are not really used to that sorry to disappoint you guys. It's not like California or New York, no where near in terms of infrastructure, cleanliness, and management of the whole event. I think westerners are not used to being disciplined sometimes. I live there for a long time nothing happens to me because I am a law-abiding citizen and I do respect the country and the religion.
How much did Qatar pay you to write this nonsense?
I hope that you realize that the only reason why Qatar is hosting the World Cup is because they bribed Joseph Blatter, ex FIFA president. And that’s the reason why he’s no longer the president.
Have you been outside Doha where all the immigrant workers live. Have you seen their living conditions? Do you know how much they are paid?

Just returned from Qatar, I must say I am positively surprised of how good they managed everything.
Considering the check-in problem, I think it was only during the group stages because as tournament goes on, less fans will attend.
I went during the round of 16 and there were lots check-in booths and almost no queue.

Budget friendly
Because the west did not host the world cup, most bloggers and other media personnel are doing everything possible to criticize the host nation. We all can do better by helping one another to make the world a better place. Everything cannot be perfect in Qatar!
Exactly! They say bad news travels faster unfortunately. No city in the world has ever held a World Cup for the entire event, and we think Qatar absolutely smashed it! Sure, there were things to improve, but the overall experience was much better than anticipated!
The village were great and fun. The fullest accommodation and superb. The room, the supermarket in the vallage and the transportation still have much more than the priced. With the people hospitality were warm and nice. QATAR world football cup is amazing.
The best ever Football World Cup ever just concluded. What a spectacle. Kudos to Qatar for a very successful WC22 hosting. The top notch infrastructure and the technology was simply awe inspiring. Marhaba 🇶🇦 Qatar

Ironically I searched for the CHEAPEST accommodation on the official Qatar Accommodation Agency and easily found Barwa Barahat Al Janoub in Wakrah for just £73/night. These are simple but clean rooms with two beds and an ensuite bathroom with shower. Better than the tents.
At the time of booking, this was the cheapest available :O We didn't get our tickets in the first round unfortunately, so things had already started selling out.

Qatar really did an impressive job, and I don’t think many other places could have done what they did. With so many people coming at once, it could have been a lot worse, but they were very well prepared. We are very impressed!

Very Cool of you guys to shear your perspective on the Free zone! A few friends and I stayed there as well for 5 nights.
For the cheap way to go it was a good idea but our room with ac at full blast was still a bit of a sauna in the day. At night was nice. Its almost a airport parking lot. The heat absorbs in the day and makes it a little more uncomfortable. So around 8am you got to get the heck out of the free zone and don't comeback until 5pm.
Not to much to do there during the day but seek precious shade. The food is pretty good and affordably. Watching the games at night are fun but it would be so much better with beer and rum.
All and All I thought the free zone was a 5/10

I'm surprised in the way they make comments. ISO containers make excellent accommodations. Militaries from their countries stay over six months in such accommodations. Looking at the video, I feel they did a great job setting up this Fan accommodations. Not sure why people from the west only tend to show negatives about non western countries. The gent is from Mexico and fussing about the sun as if Mexico does not hv a desert. Come on guys, say something good about how well Qatar organised this WC. Vamos, vamos

It's a cheap cabin hotel for backpackers and but you can get free food from Qatari people after watching the game at Stadium. Why do they give food for free? Actually, people in Arabia have a tradition of serving their guests and that is also obligatory for Muslims, of course, according to their abilities and coincidentally there are many rich people in Qatar.
Hello! My brother and i stayed at the D10-7 room for like 5 days and it was pretty good. Only issue i had was that the drain system was pretty unreliable as it had clogged one day and the first day the cooler wasn't working. I was surprised to see a fan installed as well cuz during our stay it wasn't installed yet I think 😂. Great vlog man !

This is the world cup that you can visit all the venues without to travel very far. All the venues are relatively near compared with previous world cups
We LOVED that about this world cup! Kinda sad the next one won't be like this...
FIFA will not named the venues where the 2026 World Cup matches will be held. But I understand , stadiums in Mexico & Canada are also considered. These venues are very far from each other . You need to travel a distance to follow your favourite team if they advanced beyond the group stages or to final 😒
Coming from India $200 would still be expensive for me and I certainly wouldn't pay $200 for a shipping container. $100 is the most I would pay for a hotel. When I traveled to the US, I stayed in $50 motels.

We feel like the problem was that people weren’t checked out yet, and everyone checked in at the same time. I think by 12am it’s probably a lot less quiet and you’d have better luck!

Thanks so much for watching! Bags aren’t allowed in, but I’m unsure if there is a place to store them outside. I’d possible, I’d recommend stopping at your accommodation first to drop them off and then go to the game, the do check in when you come back

It's possible to open the windows, but it's very hot outside. We used the air conditioning unit inside instead.
