Hi Jacob. Nice reaction! I was wondering if you've ever listened to Nightwish? They are a symphonic metal band from Finland and their singer is the Dutch Floor Jansen. She has one of the best female voices in metal today. Nightwish songs range from really heavy, to melodic, to folky, to jazzy to...you name it. Their live performances are epic. A good introduction to Nightwish and Floor's voice is the song Ghost Love Score, recorded at Wacken 2013, in front of 80 000+ people. I don’t think it necessarily has to get the same success. The point is it’s good enough to be on the radio, which means it will be played and also streamed...which foreshadows that the rest of her album might also have catchy tunes with relatable lyrics.... which is all it takes to make a good album capable of nomination. It takes good production and lyricism to be nominated, and being backed by interscope records, she has both.
