Great memories of watching the Carol Burnett Show . I would watch it with my grandmother as I was growing up. It is good to have opportunities to watch clips from the shows. Phillis Diller has always been a great comedian. I love her fabulous costumes. Thanks for sharing this wonderful memory.
I liked how she really was so self deprecating and a fresh blast of reality at a time when some women felt they needed to be skinny and attractive in a certain unrealistic way.
DillerJoan Rivers Burnett and Lucy, reeeeally opened the door and our eyes to females doing comedy. They were all quite humble..well, maybe not Rivers and Ball!!They didn't try to over shadow their male cohorts, they simply wanted to make people laugh with great comedy; and laugh we did..heck still laughing..😅 That's what it's all about..no gender separation..no barriers..just good comedy!
Loved Phyllis but she seems to have been overlooked in the list of great comediennes. About the same type of humor as the great Joan Rivers. Thanks, ladies.
