I think a lot of the difference in opinion of when to decorate is influenced by what region you happen to live in. Im from Canada and we have an extremely short summer season, and we try and hold onto it for dear life, lol. When we see autumn decor we know it means our summer is coming to an end and the nasty cold long winter is upon us. So fall décor tends to invoke a negative feeling for most of us. That said fall is my favorite decorating season and season in general. People need to take into account a couple of things. First, dont watch fall decorating videos if that is how you feel about it, instead of leaving nasty comments. Secondly, content creators have to decorate earlier then the rest of us to give us inspiration! I for one wont be decorating for fall until September 1 because of living in Canada. The fall decorating stays up until November first. I'm thankful our Thanksgiving is October ( in the Autumn season) so it doesnt interfere with me decorating for Christmas November 1 😁
As you were decorating, it’s easy to spot which year the decor is from. The buffalo check is obviously the oldest video and the newest is the Anthropology Minka pots. Something I noticed at Hobby Lobby this year…I didn’t find one buffalo check piece! Thank god we are moving past that!!! It was very “in” about 6-7 years ago and it was cute at the time, but the last five years have seemed to drag out with all the buffalo check! And btw, I’m not knocking buffalo check, I myself had many pieces at one time, I just think it’s very dated in 2024

I have found that it's important to welcome the current season rather than rush the next. I used to spend summertime thinking about fall and then in winter wishing it were summer. Now I embrace where I'm at. Right now is the height of summer with beaches, boating, picnics, outdoor get togethers with friends, my cats basking in the sunroom, lots of BQ and summer foods. That said I'm checking out Hobby Lobby tomorrow to stock up on what I will be using. I like your décor FYI.

The only thing that got me worry was that lit candle on top of your bed but after that I got relief when you removed the candle. Please don't think I'm criticized you is only that in this TH-cam Channels there's at lot of people without common sense and if they place a lot candle on top of the bed they will ended causing a fire.

I totally agree! I do still like the buffalo plaid sometimes but mostly just for spring and summer lol
