ok i have to say this bc i think this channel literally SAVED MY LIFE i'm so grateful bc i'm a begginer dancer (i only danced for 3 years) and i wanted to start doing my own choreography but i didn't know how to do it so i was sooo stressed because i felt i was doing plagiarism if i took dance moves from other choreography or if i was "inspired" by them and that makes me feel so bad, but from the first time i found this channel i feel you guys are amazing and so helpful I LOVE U GUYS YOU MAKE ME FEEL LESS STUPID

Well why don't you mix dance moves then it won't be plagiarism that's what Michael Jackson Did In His Music Video Bad You can see West Side Story Inspo If You Watch.

    #1
    Use the songs lyrics
    Example:
    Carriots *bitting
    #2
    Feelings:
    Intention.
    Sensation(?
    #3
    Objects as an inspiration
    Example:
Using a gun may be like ddu dduu ddu(?
It applies too to numbers, letters, a person.
And don't forget you have your unique beautiful style 🧡

Hey STEEZY! So I’m a dancer and I haven’t danced in 3 years due to family struggles.. I went from dancing every single day professionally to not doing it at all! Dance has always been my passion and is a huge part of me. My question is, how would someone like me that has taken a long break from it jump back in it. I feel like I’ve lost confidence in my abilities and afraid to join any dance studio due to how horrible I might look! But I want this more than anything in the world... Any suggestions?

    • @RihTheDancer

Darryle Barnes just go for it, if you really love dance you’re not that worried about how you look you just have fun with how you feel

HEY, THAT'S *EXACTLY LIKE ME!!!* 😱
(Had to check three times so I was sure I wasn't the one who wrote that comment lol)
Honey, I know how it feels...😢
I lost everything from family, friends to my school and my weight (eating disorder) I was so sick I had to stop going to school and I could never return and the teachers didn't help me come back.
I miss dance SOOOO MUCH, because that was the way I was able to EXPRESS myself.
(I have selective mutism which means that I am mute a lot of the time and don't speak.)
I advice you to first start watching some videos of dance styles you really like, and dance movies or shows, whatever that gets your passion back but don't forget the most important step: *HEAL from your traumatic experience.*
It's NOT your fault you are where you are right now, things just happen in life and it really DOES seem like you have lost your ability to dance - I can assure you that you have not.
      Just start at home.
You will probably move like a three year old and it will feel like you're back in your first dance class and that you're going to have to start all over again, but no, THAT IS A LIE.
You need to be able to let yourself be in this weird "beginner"-stage (even if you're far from a beginner) just for a little while, until your brain and body starts to remember how to communicate with each other and move to the beat again...
Trust me, it's the exact same for musicians!!! 🎵🎶
One day, you will be back, it will just sort of *click.*
One time a dancer, always a dancer, because it comes from within, especially if it's something you really love doing a lot.
All the best to you, and PLEASE.... don't give up dancing... don't do that like I did 😢
My body has never ached so much from NOT dancing like *right now...* 😔🙏
Please feel free to message me back and chat a bit if you want? ^-^

      *I believe in you.*

It is your passion right ? Then what’s holding you back? You are the only one that is holding yourself back, don’t care about how you look or if you even do the moves right, just dance.. no one really cares if you mess up, only you do! Come on, go to the studio or even at home and just dance dance dance n have fun! Don’t be too hard on yourself xo xo

Mallie Mitchell think about not always hitting every beat but flowing through the Beats (listen to the song more , research on how ur supposed to feel while dancing)
My dance teacher once said go from a to b think of how you want to flow to a to b use muscles u never known you have it’s really helps also listen to the song more really helps!

I used to dance and then kinda lost interest because i got to busy doing other things. I wanted to lose weight so i wnated to go to the gym. I actually wanna get back into it but i'm scared to go back to dance classes so i was thinking of doing it alone at first to improve my skills. Does anyone have some tips?

    • @user-lg6ih2gr6f
      @user-lg6ih2gr6f 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Dance classes are just that: classes. Everyone is there to learn. I assure you nobody will be judging you as everyone is at their own level. It's better to have a professional who can help correct your skills and technique because you may develop incorrect habits by yourself. Don't be afraid, go for it. :)
