My ex-wife had a degree in Art History. ART HISTORY! She was able to work for an "Agency." It took six months of investigating her to get her TS/SCI clearance. They investigated EVERYONE in and out of her life. They even investigated her biological father, who left her when she was 2 years old and she didn't know where he was . That in itself brought a whole new dimention to her life. That caused her to meet up with him and now they have a wonderful relationship with him and previously unknown half sisters and step mother.

well i guess they got a cover story for them, they can be an art dealer. and there is a ton of money laundering in art work. you got million dollar abstract art paintings flying around, there is no intrinsic value to it at all. somebody or some entity out there is moving a lot of money with that.

I wish i had a US citizenship. I love what the CIA stands for. I love that they let you two share something with the world that was enough to save my life from an extremely toxic environment namely one sociopath and one Narcissist.
I chose the most challenging thing I could do in life and it looks like I failed unfortunately.
I think my dream is over.
    Considering intelligence now.
If anyone can direct me. I want to work but I can't thrive without extreme challenge. I just don't get motivated without a level 10 difficulty.

That IS unfortunately very true. Very few supervisors and managers want well trained people. They only want people who follow directions exactly and have the ability to be shamed and bitched at when things go wrong. We all realize that the boss is NEVER wrong. So the mistakes, misunderstandings and abject failures due normally to incompetence are never the bosses fault. Just look at Joe Biden. No boss wants an "upstart", some one actually more creative and smarter than the boss. It makes them look bad.

I'm not talking about extremism but even if you're not vocal about your political views let's say you were fairly heavily left leaning (I don't like to gross generalise like this because it often leads to a distorted picture of the world and I like to internally at least have a picture that somewhat reflects reality) would that put you at a disadvantage versus someone who has an extremely conservative right leaning view of the world. Secondly although I don't believe in agressively questioning things publicly and especially not in a way that would embarrass my employer or allies but I feel compelled to question information before I assimilate it into a world view or body of knowledge and even if I agree to go along with something I don't feel is the right decision I have to be honest with myself and at least inside accept reality, make peace with it and proceede. Would this work against me and finally what is the upper age limit for someone who would consider going into intelligence work in general? Thanks for considering my questions

listen folks IF you want to listen to this guy. go to it. i am not here to stop or convince you the different.
it has been a few years now. think about IF you are say a US citizen over 45yoa and/or a veteran.
OK. this guy went to USAF, AF time and agency. i think together for about 10yrs or so. he is NOT the only person in our nation to serve/military or elsewhere.
i was a DoD/DoS contractor for over 11yrs. 7 of those years in kabul/mazar in afghanistan.
i have NEVER met, seen, heard or listened to a "former" (bustamante is NOT retired he is a "former" person) that never shuts his mouth or comments about "agency" work, practices, norms, vetting, training, selection and ON and on.
always with hsi BS disclaimer of "no operational or sensitive information is being disclosed".
NO US personnel can run his flap and lips like bustamante (which is his wife's maiden name, FYTI) and not revela harmful information to our adversaries cannot happen.
notice he is just not teaching at a university at least that is selective who gets this information OR teaching corporate personnel that have been vetted and in a private (non-recorded) conference room.
NO this idiot for $ just talks and talks about insight, thought and such basically "backstabbing" the agency that was good enough to hire him, pay him and train him.
though i "get it' this is 2024+ and all the YT personnel think about is "this is cool" or "wow i never knew that" or :"hey can i get off the couch and stop watching YT and join the agency".
enjoy folks. IF this is your thing. REMEMBER:
bustanate is either still an agency asset (doubtful) OR
he for profits, sticking cash in his pocket ect..IS revealing to anyone in the world friend or foe detained insight thoughts, information on "the" agency.
and all for to sell a coffee mug, likes, subscribe and a tshirt.
IF this was not so comical IT would be SAD.
