This is not by accident. Being a good communicator has a lot to do with gifts in understanding languages, social & reflective analysis & social objective correctness, which are kind of important in intelligence, especially HumInt, i would suppose
I really enjoy these interviews with former CIA operatives. I don't come across many other channels that primarily interview former CIA. Please keep up the good work!
Yes! Thank you for your comment because I have exactly the same thoughts. Dalton you are an excellent interviewer and your questions are on point also. Much appreciation
I still remember the entire marksmanship training in the Marine Corps. They made a far better shooter than I ever thought I could be. I ended up teaching the men in my units how to free hand fire a M60 machine gun and walk your way to the target after a couple of rounds shot.
@@sxne47 yeah, they told me that in the Army and I qualified 2nd in my company during Basic. Never seen a real gun in person before then. It has to do with your sights and biases from before the military.
As a firearms instructor for a federal LE agency, I do find that portion of his story a bit suspect. As if new hires, regardless of whether they owned a gun or not, would not get the "from the beginning" firearms training. Gun ownership is not indicative of skill or safe handling.
It must just be something about his recollections, but his delivery seems a bit indicative of invention. He must just be thinking about another thing and is distracted about what he's wanting to deliver, but it almost looks in places like he's making it up. AAs I say I'm sure that instinct is wrong.
Dude I love this guy! Heard a lot of his stuff here and there. . He tells stories so well, & he’s mysteriously scary , like we’d expect a CiA agent I suppose. I like your channel so far 👍🏼
Top job. I never watch these more then once but this content, the 'at ease' mood of the interview pulls so much more from your guest that I look forward to watching it again. Whatever your formula is keep it up and keep a finger on that pulse to keep it in those boundaries.
This is some top notch content and an amazing guest. 2 more episodes and ur spot in podcast hall of fame is waiting for u. P.s kudos for being silent most of the time and giving the guest his time to talk
Just found your channel bro subscribed like and comment and let's get this algorithm pumping!!!! Keep it up man, especially the CIA operatives and maybe some SAS and stuff like that this is the content we love!!!
This was great. Please bring him back to talk about his hand to hand combat training. How various versions. Ask if he was chase in traffic, how did he do it to live.
Something of an extended version of something that the Spycast (from the International Spy Museum, in Washington, D.C.) might put out. Given that one of the board members was Putin’s boss’s boss, they would be willing to talk to the guy who revealed Abu Graeb (sp?).
My flight instructor use to do this tequinique with me, put your head down close your eyes and when I say takeover the aircraft could be in any attitude and recover
What a weird comment. You’re talking about a specific mil free fall school. Not all “airborne/jump” training as you put it lol. I got airborne qual at benning.
You may have a steady hand but in actuality you haven't developed many bad habits as none gun owner, thats why you did well. You did exactly the right way, how they thought you.
If he maybe grew up in a rough area…the housekeeping trick wouldn’t have worked. We’re suspicious of EVERYONE at ANY door. The tests sound awesome though!
I've only watched the Kiriakou vids but it's fascinating. As opposed to it being a conversation, at least in this instance, he's telling his story and that's what you want an interesting guest to do. None of this Club Random stuff where a stoned Bill Maher forces his guests to listen to him!
Wonder why John is afraid to say the farm is located near Williamsburg, Va, aka Camp Perry? Everyone knows this, it's public information. But since CIA is pissed at him I understand why he's being extra cautious. John is a real hero in my book.
There is not one place in VA. Yes it may be known locally, but I would never reinforce anything publicly. It is also every citizens responsibility to not draw any attention to any future potential target. At least that is my opinion.
Used to be said: when you've seen one Chiropractor, you've seen one Chiropractor: in this case, when you've seen one Officer or Operator, you haven't seen one.

I could listen to John tell his tales all day. What a great communicator. Thanks for sharing.
This is not by accident. Being a good communicator has a lot to do with gifts in understanding languages, social & reflective analysis & social objective correctness, which are kind of important in intelligence, especially HumInt, i would suppose
How this channel doesn't have a million subs already is beyond me. Best new podcast out there.
Glad you like it my friend!
Seriously though, you let the story develop on the guest’s terms, which respects their space in a public venue
You are a great listner. You're gonna blow up huge as you get the most from your guests. @DaltonFischerPodcast
"where else are you going to do rocket launchers?"
Um the infantry lol.
Facts.
I really enjoy these interviews with former CIA operatives. I don't come across many other channels that primarily interview former CIA. Please keep up the good work!
then check this...
I've never seen anyone knowingly eat up bullshit propaganda and ask for more. Or do you not realize that there's no such thing as *former* CIA?
Really nice natural pace and flow. Great listening - you allow him to speak uninterrupted and then ask good open ended questions to keep it going.
Thank you, glad you’re liking it!
Yes! Thank you for your comment because I have exactly the same thoughts. Dalton you are an excellent interviewer and your questions are on point also. Much appreciation
Kirakou is great...could listen to him all day
Same
Great guest, really appreciate your style of interviewing, you’re not stepping on the guest or disrupting their natural flow.
He's really good and sorely needed in podcasts. Not some guy trying to be the focus all the time.
I still remember the entire marksmanship training in the Marine Corps. They made a far better shooter than I ever thought I could be. I ended up teaching the men in my units how to free hand fire a M60 machine gun and walk your way to the target after a couple of rounds shot.
The folks that have never shot or touched a gun before do well normally because they haven't picked up any bad habits yet.
Oh for real dawg🤨
@@sxne47 yeah, they told me that in the Army and I qualified 2nd in my company during Basic. Never seen a real gun in person before then. It has to do with your sights and biases from before the military.
Believe it or not, the USAF accepts pilot candidates who have not achieved a private pilot's license for the same reason(s).
As a firearms instructor for a federal LE agency, I do find that portion of his story a bit suspect. As if new hires, regardless of whether they owned a gun or not, would not get the "from the beginning" firearms training. Gun ownership is not indicative of skill or safe handling.
Plus he seems to be a really chill guy who doesn’t give a f what people around him think.
That is my exact story with a weapon. Went in never having touched a rifle, was highest score in BRM.
Loved the podcast with John! Watched all six hours! Cannot wait to see what else you have in store!
Awesome! Thanks for watching Brett. Much more to come
It must just be something about his recollections, but his delivery seems a bit indicative of invention.

I really love the content. Can't wait for the next show!
Your channel is on a great trajectory! I have no doubt it will become one of the most watched.
Fleabag motels don’t have housekeeping. Check ✅
That is sort of the definition of a “fleabag motel”, rather than a feature of cheap motel rooms, some of which might be called “fleabags”.
Truly amazing stuff! This channel is going to blow up big time!
Hope you’re right Nick!! Thanks for watching brotha
Love the content bro…
Keep it rolling… it’s
Definitely your calling.
Thank you brother! Just getting started
Best channel I've come across in a long time
My man! Glad you found it David
I clicked on this video because for a sec I thought that guy was the Turkish Olympic shooter 😂
🤣
... it is 😂
Loving your content wishing you tremendous success 🙏

Indeed, he is an absolutely adorable Ted E bear. These are my favorite bedtime stories ❤

Good stuff and eatin up all of his interviews/videos

Thank you Justin!
Excellent interview, I really enjoyed listening to it!
Wow!!! Awesome interview.
I really love this podcast best cia podcast
🤘
Strong Shawn Ryan show vibes. Sub'd
Very original content! Never before seen or heard anyone describing CIA training.
This is some top notch content and an amazing guest. 2 more episodes and ur spot in podcast hall of fame is waiting for u. P.s kudos for being silent most of the time and giving the guest his time to talk
haha I don't know about the hall of fame just yet but we will get there! second episode coming very soon. thanks for watching!

Great interviews!
Enjoying John Kiriakou. Subscribed w/all notifications. Thanks
Gotta get this guy in a room with Andrew bustamante and see what they would talk about
That would be interesting
Just found your channel bro subscribed like and comment and let's get this algorithm pumping!!!! Keep it up man, especially the CIA operatives and maybe some SAS and stuff like that this is the content we love!!!
My man!! Thank you for the support. Next episode with a former Delta Force operator is being edited now and coming next. Stay tuned!
How did we just go from paintballs to "we're using all live ammo, by the way"! Yeaaah. US ARMY SAPPER callin' Ya on it! Lol-)
CISpook much!
Different scenarios…..force on force= sim rounds/ paintballs… the live fire was a separate thing.
Super interesting
Great job! Can’t wait to watch more!
This was great. Please bring him back to talk about his hand to hand combat training. How various versions. Ask if he was chase in traffic, how did he do it to live.
Shawn Ryan vibes but love it. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Followed for more!
Very much inspired by SRS. Thank you for the follow my friend!
@@DaltonFischerPodcast just finished the first full podcast on Apple podcast. Incredible story!!?

This guy is fascinating
This podcast and Shawn Ryan's rock. The best. You both let the guest talk without constantly butting in. And the guests are awesome.
Glad you like it! Shawn is the goat
Yep 2 best interviewers around.
So good!!! I’m loving these videos
Just found this. Very Good with this OGA guy!
The CIA Training was covered in the movie The Recruit. Not sure how accurate the training was, but I enjoyed the movie
Nothing is further from the truth than the movie The Recruit
I love your channel. Your guest (whom I've seen before) is great. And i wish i could take those driving classes!!! 💟
Great job
🙏
Love this guy could listen to him all year 💯👍😎👌
Enjoyed this guest
Can’t believe this guy served a prison sentence. Glad he’s up and running.
Quick assessment. Quick reaction. Steady hand. All core principles of any martial art. Fascinating interview.
-Matt’s dad Dan
Thank you for doing this. All I can say is more please. This is generation stuff.
Much more to come!
This was a pretty cool video. Thanks for making it happen :)
Love the way this guy talks
I could listen to him tell stories all day, but I'd never want to make him angry.
Such amazing interviews! John is the real deal. I wonder what the small white disc is stuck under his arm?
the existence of "the farm" in general and its location in virginia in particular are still classified.
I really enjoying the interview with this gentleman he is super interesting Thank you both #johnkiriakou
This guy is so creative with imagination. Its hilarious.
I absolutely love this guy
Great vid. Sub’d.
What an absolute incredible story!! Holy shit to go through something like what he’s been through. Crazy! 💪🤙
This guy never stops talking at the party.
Which is why he went to prison.
Good stuff. Keep at it
Dope stuff man!
Thank you for sharing! ///🤙
John inspires me.
Adam 12 puts realistic scenarios and tactics into the TV show. Jack Webb was a stickler for realism
The _"It's in... it's in.. Virginia.. it's in Virginia"_ part did sound very trust worthy
Very interesting! Thanks for this interview.💜
Thanks for watching!

Great channel, new sub.
Bryan! Thanks for the sub brotha
Your successes unheralded, your failures trumpeted. 😇
It has a very Shawn Ryan vibe to it....
Thank you
🤝

Ooo! That's a good point! How would you hear a gunshot from outside the vehicle while driving?!?
Omg this guy has a narrative skill
LOVE how he used Trumps description of " certain" countries!
Crawling into back seat without coming up a little and exposing yourself is impossible.
I admire you guys so much. These are insanely difficult tests they put you through. I can’t even imagine.
kinda sounds like the farm is either imaginary, or he's never been there. bomb training!
“It was called Crash And Bang because you crashed cars and banged chi……shoot guns”
Took me a sec, but got it. Laughed. Then replied. In that order.

Is this one of those officers that was hiding in the building during Beghazi while Tanto, and Glen Doherty were laying hate on the rooftops 😂😂😂
I have no idea about my reaction, but the driving spin I can do 😊
