I like Lily Allen. There, I’ve said it. She was interviewed by Jonathan Agnew on Test Match Special of all things (for those who don’t know, that’s a radio programme covering cricket!) and she was really nice - and quite well informed. Her father wasn’t exactly a guiding influence and I think the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle has chewed her up and spat her out a few times. I hope she doesn’t end up doing a Paula Yates.
So true! Lily actually saw Paula Yates in the bar she worked at about a week before she died and thought she was not in good shape! So I think she’s seen an example of where not to go, but grief over someone or something can do that to a person. I think Lily’s pulled herself out of a lot of situations so I think she’ll be good! I adore Paula and wish she was still here! A style icon and independent thinker who would’ve gotten better with age imho. 😢❤

No I think it’s more coz it was with Gallagher. People kind of expected that from him. So nothing very shocking there. And the giggle is a bit of a self conscious one as she says, writing about it is one thing, talking about in front of loads of people is something else. And at the end of the day if she isn’t married or with someone, and I can’t remember If she was at the time, then she isn’t the one who would have done anything wrong anyway.
Also, she said in her book how he didn’t tell her he was married until a day later… so it’s not really her fault
