Just sorted my A3 out , it was cranking but wouldn't start so I called the AA ( local recovery) and they couldn't fix it roadside but offered to tow me to garage. Mechanic put scan tool on and claimed that it would need a new ECU . I looked around on utube and found this channel th-cam.com/video/F6pMlbNW7-E/w-d-xo.html Followed the procedure and it didn't crank 1st time so I put a jump lead ( just one ) from my -- on the battery and then connected the other end to a exhaust pipe sticking up and it fired up 👍 & ABS lights gone out when a scan tool wouldn't remove it .. . Not sure if this will help anyone else but apparently it clears the memory and when you reconnect your battery it starts fresh ...
I got an idea just say my car didn't start I tried everything else it turned out to be the starter quick informative video that would have been unfortunately that isn't the case here
My guy said I've checked the battery then says yeah I went out and saw the lights are bright 😫 oh my days bro buy a little golf cart and use that bro you better off
Hey I got q5 2017 s line crank no start had a hole in the bottom of the pan ; got that fixed and so happy that I did I immediately started the car it sad 30 miles I thought it might was wrong since gas leaked but it ran fine for 3 mins and shut off I added 3 gallons and it still want start unless starter fluid is sprayed and it still died 3 secs after that
Experiencing the same. i have audi a3 2015. Battery is fine just that its not starting. If you switch off the car for a while say 30 minutes then it will start fine. Able to fix it?
Hi guys I took it the audi garage and they changed the starting motor. I have also changed the battery after that.Its been a week now and dint find it reoccuring
I blew timing belt in my a3 last week. Put new motor in. Took it for its first test run. 5 min in heared explosion. White smoke pouring out exhaust and under hood and car list power immidiatly pulled over and turned off car. On ground under car was 2 quarts motor oil and line of oil going down highway. Let it cool and poured 1 quart in and tried to start on side highway. Won't start. What could this be and do u think I blew 2 motors in 1 week?

What was the issue in the end? Mine is doing the same thing and cant figure it out
So you basically just had the click when you tried to turn the car on ? And you changed the launcher . Is that correct ?

I have the same model and same issue. Did you figure out what happened/how to fix it? The car started a few times after waiting, but now it won't.
