Riding inside a V-22 is MUCH more dangerous than a missile coming at it.
And why is that?

@@zenon7094 it's not very stable. There's been multiple accidents of people getting injured just by trying to land it.

I saw one at the Alliance air show and got to sit in one...its the only time I've ever been confused if I was in a plane or a helicopter - an absolutely beast and very modern
These Osprey's crashed a lot in AZ during testing I hope it's actually better now. Love our Soldiers and Vets

This train is unfair... The SAM is much more powerful, and intelligent ! Has more fuel, and can do turn above 50 G ! XD ITS more to make pilots get confident.

It looks fragile, it seems fragile, it crashes a few percentage points more than other aircraft, and it is used very sparingly….if it was used full bore there would be many more crashes….interesting idea but maybe too early in development for today.

This aircraft hasn’t had problems for decades. It’s common for prototypes to have cost over runs and issues when they first launch. We should consider ourselves fortunate to live in the US where we can absorb impact these kinds of issues able to stay the course developing essential military.

Per Wikipedia most recent deadly crash was in 2023. The fleet was grounded for some time afterwards.
