Second year in row traveling to Vegas to enjoy the race WITHOUT tickets. So many views of the track while walking the strip, though fleeting. The pop ups, activations, team displays and events/performances on race weekend outside of ticketed areas provide so much to do and enjoy. Really enjoy the race in Vegas.
Kym, did you catch the grid walk? Martin Brundle walked around unable to find any celebrities. However, every time the camera would pan across there were celebrities right behind him, everywhere. He even claimed not to see anyone, while standing with his back to a rope, and red carpet filled with celebrities. It was magnificently amusing, and cringe at the same time. LOL
Ferrari do not get along well with Carlo. He is not being let go for nothing. Sainz’s problem is that he is psychologically incapable of playing second fiddle to the number one guy in the team. At Toro Rosso he begged the pitwall to tell Max to let him pass because “I am quicker”. Now, at Ferrari, he is making Leclerc’s life miserable. I suspect they do not have nice things to say about him at McLaren either. The fact that the only team that will take him is Williams should say enough.
@@johnkochen7264 Never heard such rubbish. You obviously never heard the tributes to him from McLaren or Renault. He is being "let go" because John Elkann spotted the incredible marketing opportunity from signing Lewis, whom he has been wooing since 2018 and in serious talks with since May last year. You are either a Leclerc fanboy or don't understand F1 very well.
Bruce is also Michael's manager. They are brothers from different mothers and didn't know about each other until they were adults. Their father was in WW2 when Michael was born, parents divorced, and Michael ended up in foster care. Bruce stayed with their father who reunited them later in their lives.

We're still in LV till Wednesday when we fly back home (Virginia) just before Thanksgiving and give my parents in law a break in taking care of the kids for two weeks. One of my company clients is an F1 team sponsor and like last year, we got free GA tickets and a 5 day stay at the Bellagio (including flight to and from LV) was taken care off and we only had to pay for the extra days we were staying in the hotel. Made trip from Tampa for second year to LV. Agree about lack of soft drinks and water at main grandstand and would add they should have separate stations for those vs only making them available at bar where mixing drinks takes for ever creating long lines! Thoroughly enjoy the entire F1 experience in LV. Only disappointment was not getting that chance meeting of you Kym! We love your work, photos and TH-cam videos. Looking forward to getting our photo books. Keep up the great work!
The weekend itself was pretty marvelous - much better than last year, which was the inaugural. What is maybe the most impressive part is how organizers are approachable. They are usually super-busy and don’t spend time with common folk, while at this event had the opportunity to meet with the CEO, COO, exec directors etc. - everyone so approachable, exchanged contacts and they’re really doing this out of passion. They are attending quite a few GP’s over the course of year, taking a lot of notes how to minimize interruption for next year. Hey Kym! I was at your meet and greet, you signed me and my brother’s McLaren hat and I got to get a picture with you! When we were there you asked if we had any questions for you and I didn’t get to ask you at the time but I thought I would ask you now. I don’t know if you’ve already answered this question but do you have a particular 1 or 2 favorite f1 teams? Ones that you would love to be in their garage with or if you were a fan in the grandstand would sport their merch? Or are you neutral to all the teams? Also thank you for doing the meet and greet, it was so much fun and the highlight of my weekend!

I was there and it was amazing! The T-Mobile zone was fantastic and I think all the guests were mostly happy. Speaking with the locals they said the logistics and setup was much better than last year and they were happy at how much more organized it was. Great race, great city, great time!

Hey Kym, if you haven't done this before, could you make a video about drivers and their relationship with their perdormance coaches, I'm very curious as to how important it is and how it works
First live F1 race, stayed at the cosmopolitan with a track facing room and it was fantastic! The hotel overlooks the track and sits right at turns 14,15, and 16 which was an exciting spot to see live. Completely worth it, because we had the race on the hotel tv so we could still see what was going on on the rest of the track ☺️☺️☺️ so awesome!

Hey Kym! I was at the race on Saturday night and saw you when you were snapping photos along the start/finish line during the race. I tried to yell and say hello, but every time you were close a car came by lol. Anyways, hi! Love your content and photos!
I was in the West Harmon Zone and I able to get water and soda without a problem the whole time I was there, so it might have been certain grandstands that had issues. Loved getting your perspective and love hearing about the photography there. As someone who does it as a hobby, I was sad to be unable to bring my camera, but glad that I was able to use my phone to catch some of the action thanks to google's camera app adding shutter speed controls. Fun, but nowhere near as impressive as your shots. Keep up the delightful work.
Las Vegas cabby here again. Wow! the main event Saturday night turned out to be surprisingly good. More competitive than I expected, with the cold road services, and the raging wind that showed up Saturday night. I watched it at the massive big screens in the Super book sport betting in the Westgate Hotel and Casino. I enjoyed it very much !!! Overall, I think this year's race went well, a success.
Even with the lack of seats filled, I dont think Vegas will lower their prices. Wished they build a proper track to not disrupt the small locals. There was a trash bag that got into Albon’s car. He had to retire the car and there were other bags on the street. I think some bags got into Russells bottom side bit it didn’t really affect him
This year was so much better than last year. While being on the strip last year was awesome, the main grandstands in the East Harmon Zone this year were incredibly better.
Definitely was made a fan. Went to Vegas for work that week and the betting, the vibe, the track was great. If your a local youll probably hate it. Traffic was a nightmare
I love the interview with Zach. I've been subscribed to his channel for a while. He does such a great job with his recreations, and I can't recommend his videos enough.
Great video. Congratulations to George for his win and Max for a competitive world championship. He earned it. I thought the race was good as well, but I have to wonder about the timing of the start. 1 AM here on the East coast of America and 6 AM in the UK. Most fans are asleep during the actual race so it’s always a DVR race for me. I get the desire of not to wreck traffic in Vegas, but 1 AM?
Only 10pm in Vegas though, and I think timing is more about no one wants to see Vegas during the day lol it's only cool looking under lights. And then if it was any earlier it would be unreasonable for the UK fans(even tho that's what you had to deal with), when 6am is early but you can wake up early for a race. My thoughts on it anyways 🤷♀️😁
Great video as always! I don't know if im the only one who've noticed that there are a lot less Photographers these days compare to the early 10s,especially during the Parc Ferme celebrations after the race. And there's also less Broadcasters in the media/interview zone,it alomst looks empty at some races. Are Liberty the reason for that?
That might be a logical reason, I guess? FOM are the sole broadcast producer since 2023 season. Few broadcasting crews are bound to happens for 3rd parties also own broadcasting rights to a bulk of countries, like Eurosport, beIN Sports, etc. Not only that, F1 Movie filming also happened at the circuit as well. But we don't exactly know what happens behind the casino doors, so let's not jump into conclusion like I did here
I was out at the race this year up inside the cosmopolitan on their pool deck for the boulevard experience watch party they hosted. They too provided free snacks and sodas with admission and we got bags of special snacks when we came in each day, even though each day it was the same thing 🤣 but I had a great time. Loved the race and cannot wait to be back next year. That’s happening. I met people from all over the world and had the most incredible time. 10/10
Kym, I spotted you on tv yesterday. After the race Christian Horner got interviewed and suddenly a Kym Illman appeared! I saw you take one or two pictures and you moved off again. I was like: "Hey look, it's Kym Illman!"
Hey, Kym, you've become a regular part of my F1 viewing. Thanks for putting out such great videos. It's a really cool look into F1 from your unique perspective. Thank you.
Hey Kym. Love your videos... to sound like a local (I am) Las Vegas is pronounced Loss Vegas.....not phonetically as it is spelled. You do say Nevada correctly -thank for that. Love your channel. Loss Vegas, makes sense, correct?
Vegas has produced two great races, IMHO. Just wish they could have this race earlier in the years like August/Sept, but the layout and that looooong straight is awesome. Thanks Kym
Late Nov is perfect. Slow tourist period. It fills in a blank spot in Vegas big event calendar. I also think late Nov with cool/cold temps after sundown really adds to the engineering side of things. Then Dec. The cowboys/girls take over. Early Dec, NFR (Rodeo) comes to town for 10 days. NFR is the favorite of locals. The cowboys and cowgirls and families taking over Vegas. They are a very appreciative group.
Shame I didn't think to stay for the red bull celebration in the pit lane. Overall I enjoyed it a lot. I got to meet pato walking through the east Harmon area and then I ran into Yuki at the Wynn. So cool to just see everyone wandering around.
11:38 Hi Kym, this is false, at the Vegas GP The LEGO Group announced a multi year deal with Formula 1, which includes LEGO sets of the entire 2024 grid, he used to make those custom but now LEGO actually makes a legit set for this years Speed Champion theme
Always a fun race. And always interesting outfits. Just wish there were more people in the main grandstand the east Harmon zone for most of the weekend but I think pricing will be more realistic next year. If it is, they’ll fill the seats.
U gotta remember fans in the USA don’t really care but do really care about FP’s and qualifying. We are worried about the race that is the main thing. Some of us like watching and seeing FP and qualifying but not like other countries
I was standing right next to you and all the media on the Grandstand when they had security/police move everyone for you guys. Saw you work on the podium shots and it was sick!

KM the master of ambush marketing - marketing his brand!
The moving Bricks - so much fun
Hey, Kym, you've become a regular part of my F1 viewing. Thanks for putting out such great videos. It's a really cool look into F1 from your unique perspective. Thank you.
Great video, Kim! Congrats to George, Lewis, Carlos and of course, Max
Hey Kym. Love your videos... to sound like a local (I am) Las Vegas is pronounced Loss Vegas.....not phonetically as it is spelled. You do say Nevada correctly -thank for that. Love your channel. Loss Vegas, makes sense, correct?
Kym Illman?
more like King Illman👑
I saw you in the background taking a picture of Christian Horner during his interview. I yelled to my there my guy Kym!!!
Loved the Lego part!
In American baseball, when a team wins a championship the photographers wrap their cameras in advance
Yes. The players, coaches and staff all have protective goggles to protect their eyes from sprayed with sparkling wine.
The fact that Matt and Tommy P1 had only 5k views at the time of this comment and Kym 101k is crazy
Another great video, Kym. Thanks for doing these.
Saw you on tv while you were trying to snap KMag in the pit lane before the start of the GP. ❤ Such great work
FAB Lego work! Thanks -
Vegas has produced two great races, IMHO.
Sly Stallone was there to wave the checkered flag - you didn't know that and I did. That has to be a first.
Shame I didn't think to stay for the red bull celebration in the pit lane. Overall I enjoyed it a lot. I got to meet pato walking through the east Harmon area and then I ran into Yuki at the Wynn. So cool to just see everyone wandering around.
11:45 Same haircut, very accurate.
I simply love these videos
Didnt know they can borrow parts...good info kym
Thank you for all the updates and behind the scenes action ❤ love the channel
Loved the race from 1am eastern time till 3am. Forced myself to stop. Go Max! GOAT.
Again a great race - Las Vegas is here to stay.
Where can we watch the press conference room interviews from 1:48 ?

🤣🤣
That was an unflattering photo of mr. Thompson. Don't be jealous Kim.
If it wasn't for the high speed, I think Carlos would have driven with both arms out the cockpit, flipping birds. And rightfully so
RB spraying cans of RedBull when they celebrate would almost make me dread my driver winning 😂
I love the idea of making a creative content from your photo album its really impressive
Kym thank you so much for this beautiful video
U gotta remember fans in the USA don’t really care but do really care about FP’s and qualifying. We are worried about the race that is the main thing. Some of us like watching and seeing FP and qualifying but not like other countries
I was standing right next to you and all the media on the Grandstand when they had security/police move everyone for you guys. Saw you work on the podium shots and it was sick!
