@@lopon12 You are saying that carbon is weaker than aluminium? Because that is not true.
If it were, people wouldn't use it for downhill.
@@Hawcz0r this video isn't downhill its enduro, multiple runs in one day.
@@lopon12 I'm not too into EWS, but googling "ews carbon bike" gives me plenty results saying that carbon bikes are used in enduro races.
I think I will trust the industry and thousands of others before some random youtube comment about carbon being weak.
I haven't seen the video but I already know that the spindrift win
My parents bought me a Trek when I was like 16yo - I knew how much it cost (400-500 USD) if I recall correctly. I also went to a shop not long ago, on my late 30's and saw an awesome looking bike. I ask the seller, how much is this worth and he says about $6,000USD --- I wen't out laughing out the door. Now I see this videos of people talking about 8k and 10k bikes and I wonder --- when did a mountain bike start costing the same an more than a 2stroke or 4stroke motocross bike or even speed bike.
I guess I am not qualified to see the high value on this bikes, just perplexed at the fact that if you want to get into Enduro Bicycles (yes Bicycles) I need to spend the same I would for a motor bike and that is just absurd to me, sure many enthusiast would disagree but this is just waaay too much for a steel frame and couple of dampers.
I am thinking the same thing. What makes a bike worth $6000 ?
Agreed. I felt the same way when I went to my local bike shop looking for an all mountain/Enduro bike. Cost as much as my Yamaha waverunner lol.
Hi there, the bike is rady to ride?
I would only buy that Norco Shore 2 anyway. That paint job is hot. I’d rather upgrade parts than be stuck on another grey or black bike.
Funny to see that Spindrift set up UK/Moto style.
Did we totally forget about the insane value of a YT Capra? Or Commencal or Canyon?
Surprised Commencal isn't on here but YT and Canyon aren't all that great of deals when you account for getting it over to north america plus their huge wait times because they got hit hard by supply chain issues and overall bad customer service for warranty.
Yeah none of these bikes are in my budget, I’m looking for sub $3k USD. I don’t know if I’d consider these “value” haha
Well, for 5,000 USD I got a second hand Specialized Enduro 2020 carbon Roval wheels, GX, with 2021 Fox 38 and 2021 X2, and that's the best value
Hahahahah Robot noises . If your doing a lot climbing for laps. Would you recommend the new altitude? I’m on a 2015 Altitude and it climbs unreal but I’ve outgrown the descending .
Would you go for carbon frame alloy wheels or alloy frame carbon wheels
Cube Stereo 170
3600€
Full Fox factory
Full Shimano XT (new generation)
Race Face carbon parts
Newmen wheels
thanks. your clip is really helpful for me would chose the bike....i would like a moderate bike for weekend buring calories...👍🏿
Welp ima stay here with my 450 dollar giant atx 🥲
What about the marin alpine trail. Are they any goig?
Why not include the Process X Kona? Much better value for money than most here.
I got a 2020 scott ransom 920 for just under $4000 at whistler. Used rentals coming in clutch
the slash is probably my favorite on this list but I've always had a soft spot for Trek
Treks have a soft spot for you as well. Usually the 2 cracks on the chainstays
@@abccanada6248 🤣🤣💀
Where can you get the norco shore a2 for 3700? cheapest I can find is 4300
The Norco shore is most appealing to me here. None of these bikes are quiver killers and just add ons. At that price the shore would just be my bike park bike and never replace a trail bike for me
No specialized enduro or santa cruz megatower?
In Australia the Trex Slash 9.8 is $8500.
Where's the 2021 Commencal Meta AM29?
That is a best bang for your buck enduro bike!
polygon N9 is the best that you can find out there for restricted budget
Apparently bike prices will be dropping soon. I’m noticing parts prices are already dropping
What about YT Bikes as they are direct to consumer??
The carbon frames of Propane are usually 2 pounds less than the Aluminum equivalent. And the cost is not 1000 more. So I'd go with carbon. In Europe you can get a very VERY decent spec (Fox 38 Kashima factory fork & DH2 shock) Propain Spindrift, for less than 5k. At that money, this bike is a bargain.
what do you think about the marin alpine trail carbon 1
Best Value is the Vitus Escarpe, hands down
If you can actually get one. They are always sold out and have a massive wait time.
@@corail53 I posted this over a year ago lol
Pink bikes pretty well rounded testing hi and low end equipment. Have Nice day...👽
Blimey! Guess I'll be sticking with my £500 Trek Marlin 7 hardtail
lol.gif
What’s the water bottle cage? Looks awesomee
Gerrilla gravity with reach adjustment its better than any one in the video
Lifetime warranty would be a big debate and why I would go Santa Cruz
Gotta sell my kidney now
You should look at marin alpine trail carbon 2. It's full on enduro. $4099.
cube stereo 170 race?!
I know the pain. Pink bike.com found me an amazing mountain bike
so in the 30 years that wages have been stagnant for most people in the states, mountain biking has gone from an 'entry-level' bike at $700 to $3500. i guess all the effort to try and get more people into the sport throughout the 90s was an academic exercise
I’m going to take a wild guess and say it’s going to be the lowest end rocky mountain altitude but I hope it’s a slash because I love the slash
oooooh i would love a trek but they are not very good price to performancee
no nukeproof or ibis??
"Includes paid promotion" first bike Santa Cruz nomad 🙄 tells you everything you need to no about this "field test" jokers..
