A year or so ago, India “accidentally” fired a Brahmos missile with no warhead into Pakistan and the Chinese radar and defence systems installed by Pakistan didn’t have a clue what had happened until the missile had crashed 120 km into Pakistani territory and that too was discovered by the locals in the area. With that one “misfire” India demonstrated the supreme quality of Chinese weapons to both China and Pakistan 😂

All they need to do is scam enough people so they can build and improve their copycat military products! My concern is that China builds the vast majority of drones across the world (even the American DJI ones) and we can all see through the Ukraine war the drones used in mass attacks are the new way of war! They can knockout major military equipment and are relatively cheap compared to say a tank in comparison! We need to build far more of are strategic weapons such as drones locally or get hit with reality in war that we can’t just build more!
The Japanese Self-Defense Force submarine captain said that the Chinese submarines are so noisy, as if they were banging gongs while diving, that it is easy to tell where they are.
To be honest Japan is not much better if you read about their submarine failures. 😂 Recently while surfacing, they hit a civilian ship and had their communications equipment destroyed so they had to spend 3 hours floating around on the surface to ask for help (submarines are weak ships that can do nothing if it does not have its stealth underwater), trying to catch a signal on one of the officer’s phones. 😂

Yes, this was noted when Chinese subs crossed into near Miyako Jima Island, near Okinawa few years ago and Japan's ASW equipment easily detected noisy Chinese submarines as Japan has one of the best ASW technology and China's noisy submarines are no match. If this trend continues, China's subs are entrenched and will not able to penetrate into the Pacific Ocean easily. Also Japan's submarines are super quiet because of their cutting edge screw noise elimination as well as battery system.

Except in drones, China is not peer competitor in arms sales anymore. It's military technology is sometimes yoked to older Soviet and Russian equipment, so not current and of course, it's quality control is very poor; too many dudes.

Chinese equipment doesn't scare me, but the number of men they can deploy could be impressive.
Most of them have no training or experience.
Also the videos showing that the average G.I. Jiao is severely malnourished and half starved.
They may have superior numbers overall, however that number also includes a very high percentage who are past fourty five. Which has many over sixty or are of my generation. Their age group that equates to gen X is smaller and also aging out of viability. Plus going against them had been the restrictions of one child per family.
Their Gen Y is also reaching the point of aging out physically with many hitting fourty this year. So while overall they may have the numbers in terms of population, age will become a major factor. Plus many of their Gen Y and Z has said they can't afford more than one child if they decide to have any. So that is yet another point going against them.
Which with an oncoming increase with the aging of their population, means that they'll not have the numbers they have now in say the nest ten to fifteen years. Plus the current lack of combat experienced leadership becomes yet another issue, if it comes to actually doing combat in the field. So while impressive in the numbers they can deploy, there are also other logistics involved where deployment is involved. However only a complete fool would dismiss them completely.

Thing is, if China would clamp down on the corruption in its military industrial complex, and made sure that the products preformed as advertised, they would be a major contender in the defense industry. Russia is failing badly due to the war consuming all products originally meant for export. China should have been able to steal that market share. But their products have consistently been found to be either on par or less effective than their Russian counterparts. Which is very telling when China has a WAY larger defense budget than Russia.

Such corruption is linked to the military-industrial complex- the Ministry of Defense, as in the United States, is nowhere in the world, in countries with a state-owned military-industrial complex or where it is under 100% state control, the cost of a unit of production is several times less than in the United States with approximately equal or higher technical characteristics of a sample of weapons, I'm not talking about frankly dead-end developments that were huge amounts of money were spent, expensive samples were released and then thrown into the trash, and legalized corruption when American generals and admirals push for the adoption of samples of a certain private arms manufacturer, and when they finish their military service, they go to the board of directors or receive large positions and salaries in these companies (the whole world laughs at this)

When every other product in China is such a failure, why are people surprised their military equipment also almost never meets the claimed capabilities?
Most modern Chinese military equipment is an attempt to reverse engineer modern Russian equipment, however because they illegally reverse engineer it they also don't fully replicate it and errors are made, as a result the clone ends up with faults compared to the original Russian product. And to make things worse, most of the physical materials they use to build the equipment also are of a poorer quality already from the factory, meaning the plastics, metal, seals etc, it means the equipment will have small failures often that lead to an unreliable performance.
China has never properly learned how to have quality control, and thus has never learned how to make something to a high quality. Practically every Chinese component is going to be inferior to a component produced in Japan and the four Asians tigers, plus the west (Russia is also part of the west BTW).
