If you are still in the area, the little bar area off soi 7 is fun. That place kept me sane during the pandemic lockdowns.

I, too, stayed around this area on my last visit. I thought it was the perfect location because you can access the BTS and MRT.

really bang kok city is very beautiful where you go sukumwit is the real estate urban center of bang kok Because if it was like this in Canada or America, it would be great, but in America or Canada it wouldn't be like this, which makes people very sad.
Very true, Sukhumvit and Asok is a bustling area and many people don't realize the business district is huge here.

Btw, the guys with the bulletin boards on bikes or walking are selling Thai lottery tickets. They draw the numbers twice a month, the beginning and middle of each month. About 100 baht a ticket...

don't take tuk tuk. just take meter taxis or motorcycle taxis. Unless the tuk tuk driver is reasonable which most are not.

Tough question to answer honestly it depends on what you like. I found Asok area to be pretty centrally located and would personally avoid staying on Khaosan road as it's very loud til late

Yeah that area is great, so many options. I have never felt unsafe on Soi 4. I know it looks nefarious but it's just of like the rest of BKK but on steroids. Regarding the camera, yeah certain ;places people get a bit testy. Sometimes someone will yell at you. it is also very common for the ladyboys to hide their faces, I respect their wishes. All and all great fun, can't wait to get back to BKK
