The “Mother Too” gun is a giant reference to the “Mother” game series
The second game is called Mother 2 (or Earthbound outside of Japan) hence the name of the gun “Mother Too”
The gun has yellow and blue stripes, very similar to the design of Ness’ shirt from Mother 2
The flavor text is a reference to a sign in Mother 3 that reads “Thank you for taking the time to read this sign. This sign loves you”
That's interesting. I thought it might have been a reference to PewDiePie's book "This book loves you", I never knew about that flavor text from Mother 2. Good find Bruvcookie!

Just started this game last night, chose to play as Moze and holy shit, this game is fun as hell, as a long time BL player ( played since BL1 drop in PS3 day 1 ) I had a blast, this game seems to drop legs like crazy haha
Same here. Chose Moze too. Ended up with 100+ legendaries by the end of the game. Combat is off the chain, story (especially dialogue) is ass.
@@prophetmaster4997 started the game last week, played with zane with a hundred hours. Exactly 277 Legendaries from level 1 to 72 on my vault. Sold some, so probably 350+. Love the drop rate on this game.

K6 when i first saw the damage on the weapon card on the satisfaction i snatched it after i tryed it it accidentaly sliped out of my inventory off a cliff
I have to say coming from destiny 1& 2, The almost infinite choice of weapons and the varied non re-skins is so refreshing.Excited to see what drops when that legendary glow eminates from the floor... for me this game is THE looter shooter. Oh and great, varied missions in huge maps. Top marks Gearbox.

Going back to watch this, I would like to say that the "Little from Column A, a little from Column B" for the Proprietary License is a reference that the gun possesses traits from other manufacturers (Jakobs for the ricochet, Torgue for the stickys, Dahl for the "burst" fire, and maybe Maliwan's guaranteed elemental attachment)

I think the main reason why this dlc stands out more than the new one is mainly due to the weapons. The weapons are sort of an alternative to mayhem 6 weapons like light show being an alternative to monarch or flipper being alternative for the sandhawk.

One thing that I think you failed to mention about the Plumage, is that if you have an enemy tracked, and kill them, they explode like a tracker grenade, and mark everyone around them.
I feel like you're the best borderlands 3 content creator. You don't just show us where to get the gun but you go indepth with all different types of damages which character itd be best on maybe even best prefix. Very in depth and I love it. Keep up the great work!

Honestly, the Plumage is so underrated. It demolishes so many bosses you just need to be good at aiming with it. Also it’s really good on FL4K.

23:06 another possible reference to the Red Text was for Operation Plumbbob, a series of nuclear weapon tests. During one underground test they welded a steel cap over the borehole, to try to contain the blast; however when the test went off, it pretty much became a massive nuclear potato cannon, and the cap was blasted off. The cap was never found. The cap probably was completely destroyed by the speeds it was going (at least 66 km/s).
Another thing to note, Chernobyl did not have any major containment structure around the reactor, part of the reason why it was such a major disaster (since the reactor was exposed).

36:56 love your content man and not being rude here but just wanted to inform you that is not a suppressor a suppressor is meant to reduce noise however that is a muzzle break it's designed for reducing the recoil of the fire arm mainly seen on sniper rifles for less kick making it more accurate to line up the following shot little info for ya. : )

thank you so much for these dlc vids!! (and all your vids in general) im currently on my last dlc, tho i totally did them in the wrong order lmao. i went 4 (krieg), 1 (heist), 3 (bounty), and finishing with 2 (tentacles.)
anyways, now that ive more or less did everything im going back and seeing what all i missed drop wise/if i want to farm anything, etc and these break downs are so useful for not only seeing what a gun is capable of, but who can use it best, where its at, if its worth farming, etc. just, thank you so much. as someone that is defo late to the bl3 party so to speak, this is still an amazing resource in 2022.
edit: also i just recently switched to m11 from m10 (after learning loot drops arent effected like stated) so its kinda funny you mention disliking the modifiers. i assume thats why m11 was added in the first place. anyways, m11 is lovely. anyone reading this who is chillin on m10 like i was, make the switch! i do still find the modifiers fun and interesting sometimes, but for general play, defo prefer m11.
also for minosaur, at least with amara i could jump up to his ledge with the rocks on the right.
also wondering if super soldier shield would help using miscreant on other VH.

the Mother Too may not be the most amazing legendary, but it's definitely my favorite to keep displayed in my room! I love the Mother series and earthbound is one of my favorite RPGs right next to mother 3!

you probably already know this by now, but the complex root has a glitch where it damages a super large area if you have splash radius on your class mod or aoe damage on your artifact
For the complex root, if you have any abilities or skills that increase splash damage radius, its split projectile's explosion will kill you. Joltzdude said it is a bug.
There are so many good weapons in this dlc! But there's alot that still need some Love
My l60 moze would one shot Abbodoxis with a plumage. 300/90 anoint and a little overkill is all it takes. I love the plumage for mobbing. Haven't gotten that anointment at 65, but I think it'll still perform great if you're playing the overkill well.
Boom sickle with 300 over 90 it one shots most mobs, idk if you have one but man it’s life changing lol
The reason for the conplex root is killing you is that you have splash damage radius on your artifact and/or classmod. Its safe without sdr boosts
As soon as I saw him get hit with that complex root I was like that makes it op use the transformer shield shock heals it

Quit peacocking around. - Fires a salvo of 8 rockets for one ammo. Fixed tracker grenade accessory. Enemies killed while marked by the tracker grenade drop another tracker grenade on their position, which instantly explodes and marks other enemies.
So glad they fixed that complex root issue
The Frequency is best on a Phasegrasp Amara that uses Ties that bind.

Been using new moze purple tree to get a super high base fire damage build and going for matching incendiary gear then using the Root
The proprietary license is essentially a Hyperion gun that is a Jacob's and twork weapon

I have another theory about the Flipper...the red text in my mind refers to the lyrics of One Foot In Front Of The Other by Bone Symphony from the Revenge of the Nerds Soundtrack. In the movie the song played when the nerds were renovating their newly acquired frat house. I'm looking at the splash paint job on the Flipper along with the very 80's color scheme and yet I still have no idea why it's called the Flipper lolol
