Excuse a noob question, I don't own the game but I'm curious: what ability is causing him to lose all the shield? I've searched in the wiki for Zane's skill tree and abilities and I cannot find anything that causes that. Maybe I'm not looking at the correct info...

The “Infiltrator” class mod for Zane makes it so you break your shield whenever you use an action skill.

It's an old event patch for the anniversary, I think. Loot Tinks and Legendaries spawn more often because of it, and you can also use Rare Loot% artifacts
