    Dude, motor, oars and 5 rods!!! 😂 Man, what a change! But it looks like you guys are having fun. Nice that your wife was enjoying herself.

      Haha oh yah! That boat was my first method of accessing smaller lakes for fishing. I sold it to help get the Nova Craft I use now, but many fond memories came from that ol' Sportspal (including my first musky!) Cheers David! 🍻

      @@LatitudesWildernessFilms I bet! My first canoe was a Coleman Ram-x. Hey, whatever you have to get out means much more than what you have. Awesome.

    I know that lake well ,in fact I camped in that same spot many times over the years.I hope you and your wife had a great time there and that you return again some time the future.

      Hey thanks for the comment! We enjoyed our time there for sure. I hope to return and do a canoe route through most of the park this summer, including returning to some hot fishing spots on Fishog. Cheers!

      If you return let me know. It's my summer retreat there. I am usually there 4 to 5 times a year. Sometimes several weeks at a time. I have been going up there for 50 years now.@@LatitudesWildernessFilms

    Fun Video. New to your channel. I'm and Ontario boy as well but have never been to QE2 wildlands... looks like you and your wife had a great time and that is what matters... Dennis, Canoehound Adventures

    Fishog is very heavily used, judging by the thinned out trees along the shore; the lack of firewood near camps plus the heavily worn down soil on the campsites

      Hey Lisa, yup this is quite true. It is a very accessible lake for the large population of southern Ontario so it sees a lot of use. I've ventured back a few times since this trip and haven't had issues getting wood as long as I leave the campsite.

    Nice video! Noticed you mount the rod holder to a 2x4 but how you mount the wood to the inside of the canoe? have the same canoe as you.

    • @LatitudesWildernessFilms
      @LatitudesWildernessFilms  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I screwed thru the body of the canoe into the 2x4's, dipping the screws in silicone first, and dabbing over the heads with silicone as well. The rod holders are just short lengths of pvc pipe. Thanks for the comment!

    This trip looks awesome... I do similar styled trips with my wife too. We live in the best province don't we?

    I live in the same area as you, just wondering it must be ok to use gas outboards on the QE2 system

      Hey John, I believe it is permissible for use of motorboats on most of the lakes there.
