- And in the middle of the night... i present a Gaster fansong! :D
holy crappp it was so fun to do this song, I absolutely love the odd concepts surrounding Gaster... whether he's even real, or an entirely different person than both the Undertale or Deltarune fandoms think that he is.
I used a lot of references from Undertale, Gaster's followers/Goners, and Deltarune in this song.
And of course I had to add Gaster's main theme, as he is always watching... lol

God… Legitimately I can’t believe that a fanbase from an SNES-themed RPG game, almost 8 years old is **still** producing original pieces of art and music. Undertale, as a game, has to be one of the most influential games in our generations history. Period.

Holy crap, this is good! I love how you reference Gaster's fate and the whole "Can it get darker than dark" thing from the Sweepstakes. The instrumental too! It makes him seem mysterious. Along with that, it also seems like a Gaster Follower is preaching about Gaster, instead of Gaster singing about himself.
Also the face looks kind of distorted and slightly wrong, like someone is moreso trying to draw what Gaster looked like instead of it being say, a picture or something. Loving this!
This song expresses through the art, lyrics, and music exactly the state that Gaster has been left in. It tells a tale of him rather than having him tell his own.
This is quite good, honestly. It's so unnervingly intriguing. Like you know something is wrong, and that knowing more will have consequences, but you just can't look away. Just as Gaster is so far presented really. Scattered within the code, between worlds but affecting them all. It's also very philosophical, in a way. 'Greatest form of nonexistence'. Almost like the knowledge gleaned from learning more is taunting you. It's hard to put into words really, but I quite like it.
I like how this captured the whole mystery around Gaster, also the instruments used in this song are great.
I'm not really that intehrested in Gaster, but he definitely plays a big role in Deltarune especially.
And again, the art is just... amazing.
Love how the perspective is of someone talking about the mystery Gaster instead of Gaster themself singing

watching this after not sleeping for 24 hours is a truly otherworldly experience.
i love the weird melody and sound effects of this one ! and the way the Gaster Theme is used is so great as well. the lyrics fits the mystery of the character very well, and as someone who theorizes a lot on Gaster, i really appreciate the references to specific phrases surrounding his mystery.

The atmosphere that this song radiates is just indescribable.

I just watched Sisyphus 55's Chronically Online and then Listened to this Right after.
It's facinating how Many Connections the Mind can create out of two Completly disconnected pieces of Media,
what other meanings Can arise from prose where there was likely no Connection with a difference in Context left over from past Thoughts.

According to Alphys, it "converts geothermal energy into magical electricity by..." She trails off and doesn't tell us.
Later, in the True Lab, the machine we use to turn on the Elevator and the last few entries in the True Lab, has a red heart and what appears to be a smile on it.
Six humans fell to the Underground before Frisk, and Frisk is the seventh soul. But we never see what happened to Chara's soul.
So, is Chara's soul part of the CORE's design?
So maybe Chara's soul is what powers the lab.
There's a reddit post that explains it better but whenever I listen to this song I think of it and it bugged me not mentioning this for the longest time so I just went for it :P
If I have kids some day, I'll tell them about the plot of undertale as a bedtime story

i love the use of questions in this song, almost nothing is stated with certainty much like what we see in games. "legends tell of" "do you think he" "does he even"
so many gaster interpretations act as though we know who he is, but that's like saying we 'know' who toriel is when she first guides us thrrough the ruins. we know almost nothing.
and once again, you make spooky songs gorgeously
This song is really refreshing in that it sounds more like people telling stories in uncertainty and trying to figure out what he is, how he became the strange shell found in the empty room outside of existence, and in general trying to understand what that thing IS and how it relates to this potentially unperson who may not even exist, than the man himself regaling a tale. Even his image shows uncertainty, looking like a person's attempt to draw, to transcribe a surreal dream, while beginning to forget it. You are quite frankly, amazingly brilliant and you need FAR more attention than what you are getting.
I. LOVE. How it uses the motif you established within Girl Next Door and I Am Not My Own, tight out the gate! I've yet to discover exactly what this motif represents, but this sing is a big clue!

Sorry I keep commenting, but this just has so much going on i can't stop. That's actually a quite chilling voice to me specifically, because Deltarune and Undertale is often used by me as escapism, and all the fourth wall breaks of the characters make them seem incredibly real. In fact I sometimes think about how Gaster is everywhere including where I am right now. "The dark" seems to be a kind of metaphor for fantasy and escapism in Deltarune at least, which adds the finishing touch the fear that line creates. I'm not sure if that's what you were going for but either way well done. Again, sorry I keep commenting.

Makes me think of how the Undertale fandom deemed Gaster kind of the overall mystery of the game, deemed him unsolvable. I think the myths and legends at the beginning might refer to the fandom talking about Gaster, maybe?

I love the text that appears halfway through being only there for those paying active attention and also this song somehow manages to correctly personify the general personality of someone who is not confirmed to be canon or even have a sprite.
So glad TH-cam recommended this to me! This is so spectacularly well done and deserves way more views and love. You did such a great job capturing both the feelings of eerieness and pensive speculation that come with thinking about Gaster. Also the absolute chills I got with the “You know that nothing here is real and yet the dark is more appealing than the world you find yourself in” line! Amazing. I’m definitely sticking around to check out more of your fan songs!

This is going in my top 3 favourite songs made by you. Gaster's state is Very Very Interesting and this song feels really ominous and perfectly describes gaster. If undertale is on the table for fansongs, I would absolutely LOVE to see something to do with muffet as that would be able to make a really good song. This is an amazing song, Keep making great music!

This is my favorite Gaster fansong. I love how it focuses on the uncertainty of his existence, how little we know about him, because that's the most interesting part! So I think the choice to have the speakers as various people speculating about him, instead of a monologue from the doc himself to be quite inspired and definitely scratching a real itch I didn't know I had

I like how it uses the same leitmotiv as "Girl Next Door" and "I am not my own", just as a reminder *who* started all of this.

damn, what the hell did i just hear, i thought it would be completly other thing but wow, im impressed, the tone it fits so well the concept of not existing yet being always there, loved it, your voice is beautiful too, this is my second favorite gaster song
I keep listening to this when I'm doing my night time drawin, I love the intriguing, ominous and forebodingness of it. If I had any little criticism its the "break the timeline" line just doesn't hit personally for me. Though perhaps that's just sort of a gutteral response after hearing that word in Undertale AU's and just when discussing the game as a whole lol. Glad Deltarune has had it's own direction.

the song sounds so chaotic (take this as a compliment ok not an insult💀) even by just listening to the instrumental it has mixed instruments and i cant even start with the vocals, your voice is just perfect for everything i love your songs and i will listen to them until the heat death of the universe

I loved the speed up at the end that goes with the rhythm of "Darker, Darker, Yet Darker" (as in the song, of course)

I looove when people try to make things about Gaster revolve as much around the little information we know as possible, cuz it's easy to just succumb to fandom-established ideas, but this is jsut rly cool also I guess making lyricsout of the litearal mystery surrounding W.D.
Some of my fav lyrics are "the dark is more appealing than the world you find yourself" because clearly this reffers to dark fountains creating world people find more appealing in the long run like the whole escapism thing..
I also like all the lyrics mentioning nonexistance, being real or unreal or being uncomprehendible, just so awesome I'm in love with this song, great job

There were a few parts where I couldn't quite hear the lyrics right, so when I watched the video with the captions it actually felt a bit like going through his lore, with all the contradictions and baseless assumptions that we all assume is true. Like "Do you hear the roar of time's bend?" being misheard as Titans, or "Darkness is the key, I know it" misheard as "Darkness is the key to nowhere." Probably just my poor listening skills, but it's a neat effect!

You drew Gaster's face a bit wrong,the half closed/distored eye's crack that goes up,and the normal eye's crack goes down to the mouth,but still it looks fantastic!
The idea of the right eye being twisted/distorted makes it the best and most creative one so far
