I feel like this is finally an accurate portrayal of Chara the way TobyFox intended. Not some random evil kid, but a being made of pure evil, made by YOUR actions.
A demon that YOU made. The representation of YOUR actions, of YOUR sins, of YOUR Determination. This is Chara. A being that encapsulate all that YOU've caused.
Chara was a troubled and traumatized child who made a terrible mistake, yet they never pass on. And... they are not as they once were, a shell of their former self, a vessel ready and waiting to be formed into something new. And then in comes You. Something in them died that day, theyre missing an important piece of themselves, theyre missing Determination, missing a purpose, missing a SOUL, all things that you can provide. Your actions affect which path they take. Will their reincarnation be a force of good? Or.... will you create a demon borne of your horrid deeds?
I love this song because Chara is here acting (and shown) as a consequence of our actions, and not someone who is interested in pushing the consequences on us. Because Chara's never been like that (Chara is our partner in said deeds, after all). This is a Pandora's box that we open with our actions, with the difference that this box has its own mind, which is even more horrible.
this absolutey nails the feeling of sans's last lines during his fight. "guess that its huh?, well just don't say i didn't warn you" now that weve made it to the end, there is no going back nor can we repay the blood that has been spilled. this is our doing and chara knows it
I do it to bring Chara back from the dead. Plus, the words of Asriel in Pacifism, of how his and Chara's deaths may have been necessary for freedom and peace...It broke my heart. I can not accept a world that shares such mindset in their hearts. I much prefer the neutral endings.
@JabamiLain well, in the genocide ending, you are not really bringing them back, they're always with you during the game. And Azerial is definitely flawed in his thinking that what happens was necessary, but that should not be a reason to deny the monster race of its freedom
I love the line “Led to water yet it won’t drink” because even thought it’s the player talking to Chara, it’s literally what the player has done. Helped on their journey to destroy the world and yet they don’t want to destroy it. Also “Would you judge the ground you stand on?” Is great Overall, I love how this captures how mint people initially react to Chara, afraid and filled with regret.
This fits canon Chara SO WELL, especially since they don't sing it, but instead, the player as Frisk and then themselves does. It plays well to their mysterious nature and it's inevitability once they're awoken.
Interesting to have visuals now with this song, it completely changes my perspective on the song!! Originally listening to this, I thought the one singing was Chara, and the "demon" they were referring to being the player, telling them to kill the family and home they loved. Now with this version, it's the opposite; the player is now the one singing, panicking, while Chara stands there and reminds them of what they've done. I think what's really interesting with the player singing is that now in this case, Chara's become a villain. When really they haven't... done much. It was YOU who chose to kill everyone. Because you were curious. They're just a remind of that. Poor Chara man :')
I’m loving the reference to Sans’ offer when Frisk says talks about his “outstretched hand”. Same with Chara pressing themselves against the screen at the end, keeping the same wide grin
The drawing of Chara at the beginning of the song with the Red Soul beating behind them… Thier hands clasped behind thier back… is actually very cute, in my opinion. I like how this song doesn’t seem to paint Chara as being evil, there’s far too much “Demon Child” stuff out there, it’s more a case of “You did this. These are the consequences to such morbid curiosity.” At least in my opinion.
You know I expected this to be "the other one but sounds a bit better" but its so much better. This feels more like a full reimagining. I feel like I didnt just get a replacement for the other one but something mostly new. Same idea but both songs still hold value. I love this
"THE BLOODLUST IN ME WENT TOO FAR NOW I'M THE ONE TO LOSE. DID I DO THIS ON FREE WILL ? IF NOT THEN WHO PUSHED ME ? THIS WORLD DIED BECAUSE OF MY MORBID CURIOSITIES" 🔥🔥🔥 One of the best "name of the song" moments ever. (although, very minor unrelated complaint: I wish at least half of those "wanna" were "want to"-s, as it both sounds more proper and avoids repetitions if you alternate between the two)
I like the depth of the audio, the beat of the songs used to be kind of non-changing throughout the song, so it's nice to see a more intense build-up in beat and voice.
I love how the song is about a demon of the players own creation, but Chara just looks like a big goober Also great song, been having this on repeat for 2 days.
Damn, I love this! The unique and clever abstractions of wrongness in the beginning just hit so hard for me! "Led to water, yet it won't drink." "Would you judge the ground you stand on?" the way the sounds of each syllable blends into the next and out of the last at about 1:53 is so ghostly sounding and I love it! Overall, just great work! Buildings throughout really well, and has some great atmosphere and lyric choices! Also, narratively, it uses the concept of Chara being a force of tempting twisted evil, while not coming anywhere close to denying the guilt of Frisk/the Player, which is a nice touch. It has some of the fun vibes of the former without discrediting the sins of the person who made the choice to walk that dark path in the first place. Frisk was encouraged, but not controlled. Not until it was far too late. Personally, I like to say that, by the end of the genocide route, you've already sold your soul to a demon. That final agreement you can make is just making it official. - PS, also just wanted to add the "tonal accent" at the very end of "failed humanity" is just perfect! (I put "tonal accent" in quotes because idk what to call it exactly)
OH MY GOSH I AM SO HAPPY THIS RELEASED AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I LOVE THIS SONG ORIGINALLY AND THIS IS ALREADY SO GOOD JUST FRON THE FIRST 30 OR SO SECONDS AND THATS NOT EVEN TALKING ABOUT HOW SCRUMPTIOUS THE ART IS
My morbid curiosities have taken me to see things that made me genuinely agree with Chara's feelings about humanity. There's too much evil out there, closer than we think, not demons or ghosts, but actual people, so please be safe. Don't kill and don't be killed. Sorry for the rant, great song! ❤
Got this randomly in my recommended feed, gave it a listen. Very well-made! I like the way you portray both Chara and Frisk in this. It's rare that I see an Undertale fan-project portray a Frisk that knowingly and willingly does the Genocide Route.
Ohh the vibes what the hell!! You’ve gotten so good as of late. The vibes recently aren’t the same as before, but I think it’s because there’s an extra layer now, of complexity and sound. You’re growing as an artist, and that’s so cool!
There's something terrifying about this entire song, from the clip to the song itself, I couldn't even look at the video properly because the way it's drawn triggers my scopophobia (phobia of being stared at) which is not a bad thing at all, infact when an interest of mine is drawn in a scary way that triggers my scopophobia I find it insanely cool and epic, so honest congratulations to you on that work because holy shit. And the song just sounds like it's sung by someone corrupt with L.O.V.E. which adds to all of it. Simply Amazing
Amazing! The original was great, but this... THIS IS AWESOME, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Great job Fresh, both the song and the visuals are really really cool.
I have commented in some of your music videos but you probably don’t remember me but I swear I love your music so much!!! I listen to most of them on Spotify and you are so talented, I swear you answered my comment once and I almost cried. You always manage to capture the perfect emotions for the characters and the songs are also really good in terms of music since your voice is amazing and the instrumentals are insanely good!!! Cross my heart is probably going to be on my top 5 Spotify wrapped and I listen to a lot of songs! You are my favorite fansong creator and I wish I could be like you someday. I get chills everytime I listen to this I swear aaaaaaaa😭 I’m not sure if you will read this but I really admire you and I wish you the best!! Thank you for making this, it’s a masterpiece.
I read all of my comments! i appreciate every single one of them, including yours! I'm glad I can be such an inspiration for you... that's my dream come true, honestly ❤️
The original was one of my absolute favorites of yours. This did so much justice to the tone of the original while also bringing it up a notch with the beat at the end and your vocals throughout are simply haunting! Amazing work, the improvement is insane! Also the art??? Simply spectacular! Now I'm thinking I should redo the drawing I made inspired by the original.
Goofiness of the last image and blatant disrespect for my favourite UT Character aside, I really like the vibe of this. You've made a mistake. You have simply gone too far. And now, you face someone that is willing to give you a run for your money. You've pushed your luck, you know you've made a mistake, but lack the comprehension of the true scale of it. I also think Chara would get a kick out of this. They're the kind of person to embrace demonizing roles thrust on them and amplify them tenfold with a wicked grin.
Morbid Curiosity was originally my favorite of your songs. I'm glad to see a remaster, thanks for this. Edit: Iesvs Christvs. The song is far more... I guess "cinematic" is the way to describe it compared to the original. First time in a while something gave me chills, exceedingly well done. 9/10
Oooooh Remastered eh? Great to see it! Well done! This is one of my most favorite songs! The arts also amazing and a cool improvement. What about “Beware the Man”? That’d be a interesting remaster. And ooooh those last parts.
Oooh the original is one of my favorite song of yours!!! And you did not disappoint once again this remaster is amazing, and the drawings absolutely gorgeous!!!! Keep it up i love your work aaaaah!!!!
This goes so hard i love it youve definitely improved from the original version and its so good it feels a lot more sinister now which i think adds to the creepiness
At 1:50 I felt chills, you did such a good job on the feeling of impending doom. I personally think this song fits Chara the best. They were not evil, but were made 'evil' by the player's actions. Keep up the great work!
Bro this is definately one of my favorite songs from you, I love the new version! The audio design definately gives the impression of the empty void you encounter Chara in, and the build up in the first segment as it gets bigger reminds me of the howling winds when you can't see chara and the part with "the sulfur stench is in the very air I breathe," is a wonderful tonal transition. BUT THAT LAST PART THOUGH! You've improved so much and I can't wait for whatever you come up with next.
I'm taking this line out of context here but "led to water yet it won't drink" is a line that hits me harder than a brick, making me think like even if i was guided or led to something great i would waste that opportunity, literally happens to all of us without realizing. Idk I'm being philosophical about an undertale song in 2024 :P
As a Catholic, when I read this I thought of humanity's inclination to sin and how we sometimes choose it despite it being bad for us and there always being a better choice. We waste opportunities consistently, but we can be better in Christ.
I'll be the obligatory lyrics person: (Please correct me if there are mistakes, I'm tired and on mobile) I've come to see the difference In paths that I could take I wanna see the havoc That my childish hands can make I've heard of beings, that I can only hope are fake A personality Of death, destruction And decay A being made of Pure hatred Led to water yet It won't drink Who's to blame them For their outcome? Would you judge the Ground you stand on? What was the purpose Of this nasty thing? Was it the product of a Failed humanity? No one knows how No one knows why Yet the sound of their Hatred, calls out I feel it drawing closer But what is it that's near? Is it to late to turn back? I do not wanna be here I think I've finally done it... Yet what is it I've done? I should have turned back when The hand was outstretched And open The sulfur stench is in the Very air I breathe It feels familiar yet It cannot put me back at ease I know those eyes like their mine I know their voice as well The very demon that encouraged me Was from hell I start to panic as they Directly speak to me I realise that my sins Have finally Caught up to me The demon gives me a choice One I don't wanna choose The bloodlust in me Went too far Now I'm the one to loose Did I do this on free will? If not the Who pushed me? This world died Because of my Morbid curiosities I shake the hand of the dead The deed has now been done I hang my head in regret My hands now covered in blood A being made of Pure hatred Yet the sound of their Hatred, calls out
I like to think the narrator is whatever takes center stage at the time- first Frisk, then Chara, then the soul (us). Firstly, the first few lines talk like someone who has little awareness of what Chara is, they're still thinking of causing more trouble. 2nd. It's very easy to imagine Chara seeing us as a being of pure hatred, a stubborn thing who thinks they're above consequence (led to water but won't drink). Without us, though, they could not have awoken (we're the ground they stand on). We and Chara guided each other to this point, but we don't want the water we've been led to. It's pretty obvious the 2nd verse is from our perspective. It's the regret of someone who passed the barrier at LV20 realizing their Flowey-like mindset has earned them the same fate. Because of the previous lines, where the soul accepts what they've done, the last chorus implies the soul is calling themself a being of pure hatred, but in the third person- our hatred is what called out and summoned Chara.
HOW DID I NOT REALIZE THIS WAS POSTED KNGBFNSKFHGHJIEWKJ This is one of, in my opinion, the best fan songs you have posted yet. I always loved Morbid Curiosity, and this remaster just amplifies everything I loved about it. 11/10, to my playlist INSTANTLY. Have a great day! :D
I listened to the old one so much that it was on my top playlist so this video is definitely going to be one of my favorites, please keep it up your music is amazing 😊
I literally said “OH SHIT!” When I saw it, Haven’t even heard the song yet. Edit: oh my GOD! Every word is empha-sssIZED and POWERful! Rrrreally going full on into it! The quietness of the original threatening in it’s own way, while this is, like, man
this dubiously does fit in terms of narrator!chara theory if you take into account that they're a traumatized child and thus influenced by YOUR actions.
So I've been thinking ever since I listened to your Morbid Curiosity song... Do you really think Chara is actually... Evil? I always thought he was simply a guiding soul and only became evil at the end of the Genocide route cuz Frisk's hate passed on to him and made him come to life for how powerful it became
I think Chara is the representation of determination (or ambition, depending on how you look at it), just in the same way that Frisk is the representation of determination in the pacifist route. I don't think this is an accurate depiction of Chara while they were alive however, as a child doesn't normally have the capability of complete genocide. Genocide is leagues away from "not being the best person."
A very cool detail I noticed is that at the beginning, Chara is looking at Frisk...then notices us.
yes! I'm glad someone noticed it! :)
Ohhh, that is so cool! I wondered why Chara was surprised
Look at them, they can't be evil, they're so small!
Chucky:
It's called a child, their all demons
Annabelle would like to have a word
Even the tiniest sin can cause death and destruction to all
Just a lil' scrimblo!
I know chara is supposed to be a little scary in this, but they are too cute there just a little goober and i love it
Also at the last part the pose looks like the Mr. Beast pose and I immediately had to pause a moment to laugh lmao
My sense of humor is broken

The audio design definately gives the impression of the empty void you encounter Chara in, and the build up in the first segment as it gets bigger reminds me of the howling winds when you can't see chara and the part with "the sulfur stench is in the very air I breathe," is a wonderful tonal transition. BUT THAT LAST PART THOUGH! You've improved so much and I can't wait for whatever you come up with next.
OH MY GOODNESS GRACIOUS?? THE VIBES?? THE ART?? GOD THIS IS SO COOL
one of the most accurate representations of Chara i have seen out there
The first song was very good, but the remaster is just so much better, i love so much the ending part that introduces the drums
This bout to be a banger.
Damn, I'm impressed and disturbed at the same time
Such a freaking awesome remaster
Oh lord its PREMIUM!! Funking radical work mate!
These lyrics are so fking metal I love it
THIS DEAL GOES VERY HARD🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Chara be like: "Do you have chocolate in your fridge"
I'm taking this line out of context here but "led to water yet it won't drink" is a line that hits me harder than a brick, making me think like even if i was guided or led to something great i would waste that opportunity, literally happens to all of us without realizing. Idk I'm being philosophical about an undertale song in 2024 :P
As a Catholic, when I read this I thought of humanity's inclination to sin and how we sometimes choose it despite it being bad for us and there always being a better choice. We waste opportunities consistently, but we can be better in Christ.
@@theanomaly2587 i’m not catholic but i am religious and i agree 100%.
God’s mercy is open to all, we just have to appreciate it.
I'll be the obligatory lyrics person:
(Please correct me if there are mistakes, I'm tired and on mobile)
I've come to see the difference
In paths that I could take
I wanna see the havoc
That my childish hands can make
I've heard of beings, that I
can only hope are fake
A personality
Of death, destruction
And decay
A being made of
Pure hatred
Led to water yet
It won't drink
Who's to blame them
For their outcome?
Would you judge the
Ground you stand on?
What was the purpose
Of this nasty thing?
Was it the product of a
Failed humanity?
No one knows how
No one knows why
Yet the sound of their
Hatred, calls out
I feel it drawing closer
But what is it that's near?
Is it to late to turn back?
I do not wanna be here
I think I've finally done it...
Yet what is it I've done?
I should have turned back when
The hand was outstretched
And open
The sulfur stench is in the
Very air I breathe
It feels familiar yet
It cannot put me back at ease
I know those eyes like their mine
I know their voice as well
The very demon that encouraged me
Was from hell
I start to panic as they
Directly speak to me
I realise that my sins
Have finally
Caught up to me
The demon gives me a choice
One I don't wanna choose
The bloodlust in me
Went too far
Now I'm the one to loose
Did I do this on free will?
If not the
Who pushed me?
This world died
Because of my
Morbid curiosities
I shake the hand of the dead
The deed has now been done
I hang my head in regret
My hands now covered in blood
A being made of
Pure hatred
Yet the sound of their
Hatred, calls out
Man. Great song, but I can’t get over the fact that Chara does The Mr Beast pose.
This entire video has the same energy as the guy who showed his audience a picture of Jigglypuff and said "they need to understand, this is Satan."
I really like this remaster, but it's a little hard to take it seriously when Chara is doing the "MR BEAST!!" pose
...
You just HAD to point that out, now I'll NEVER see it the same way again
I WAS HERE FOR THE FIRST VERSION!:D great video btw!!
You've improved so much!
OMGOSH THE ART IS STUNNING, THE VOICE CONTROL IS SO GOOD AND THIS REMASTER IS SO GOOD!!!! THIS IS SO COOL ??!
THIS IS SO SPINE-CHILLING TOO FJGHGGHJJJ

“Evil!!” DO YOU MEAN THE YUMMY BLUEBERRY?!? NOMNOMNOM (I mean the art style!! So pretty and the song goes along with it so well)
Been gone for a while, haven’t we? Nice to see that the quality is still amazing! Good work!
OH MY GOD, THIS IS AMAZING
I love your music, i have enjoyed it so much these past few months
I've been enjoying asriel's song too and would hum the tune a lot
this gives a way more intense and suspenseful feel, Amazing job on the Remaster!
Excited woohoo. Good yo hear a remake.
when i say ive listened to this on loop for more than 12 hours by this point i mean it, i love how it sounds it make my ear happy
Just had an ad of getting rid of anxiety… I’m sure a song about genocide will help.
The extra noise is SO good! I love it!
shaped like a friend but looks like a foe
bit too evil to be wearing a bow
This is SO GOOD!!!
Holy algebra, this is sick as hell!!! This is so much more intense and threatening than the original, and i love it! Good work once again!!!
Amazing, definitely captures more of a feeling of fear and a higher sense of unease then the original. You just keep getting better with every song :3
HOW DID I NOT REALIZE THIS WAS POSTED KNGBFNSKFHGHJIEWKJ
This is one of, in my opinion, the best fan songs you have posted yet.
SO AWESOME! Good work!
i like this being from frisk’s pov. i know they’re not really supposed to have a personality, but you did a good job in giving them one
I'm really glad you made this. Please keep making undertale songs
I'm only about 45 seconds in and I already have chills
I love the original song so much and this and this version is just so much better
THIS IS SO INTENSE
I'M SO HAPPY THAT YOUR CONTENT EXISTS

Omg this is so awesome Good work!
I literally said “OH SHIT!” When I saw it, Haven’t even heard the song yet.
Edit:
oh my GOD! Every word is empha-sssIZED and POWERful! Rrrreally going full on into it!
The quietness of the original threatening in it’s own way, while this is, like, man
HOW COME THIS HAS 2K LIKES THIS IS AWESOME??? U honestly deserve much more
this dubiously does fit in terms of narrator!chara theory if you take into account that they're a traumatized child and thus influenced by YOUR actions.
Just found you a few weeks ago and this was my favorite song. I love this new version
BABE WAKE UP EVIDENTLYFRESH JUST POSTED A REMASTER!
ACK OHMUGOSHNESS ITS AWSOME! I LOVED it it was so good!❤❤
So I've been thinking ever since I listened to your Morbid Curiosity song...
@@evidentlyfresh I see..
Well thank you for that
