This is so simple, but showing how scales are the building blocks of music is so important. You have put the C scale over in such a way and explained it very well. It shows us the magic of playing single notes and chords or part there of, always letting the melody note played last. Playing the C scale and listening for the notes of La Vie-en Rose is a wonderful lesson for learning scales. Thank you so much, I have passed this on to my group.

I first begun playing the ukulele after a car wreck damaged my hands making the guitar/bass/banjo too painful to attempt. What begun as an instrument I played because I could sans pain became one that I found myself unable to put down. Now while I think I did a pretty good job teaching myself to play, my playing was just that, self-taught. That's exactly why I like channels such as this, one that helps me fill in the blanks with what I couldn't learn otherwise.
Love these videos, love your music; and keep on playing, mate.

Thank you, Valerio! The CD will be out in January and there definitely will be several announcements of it. I look forward to meeting you in person someday. Let's do some jamming.

    Hello Kimo,
I have a favor to ask you, may you make a step by step tutorial for your chord melody arrangement of Hallelujah? Pleeease! it is one of the most beautiful piece i have ever heard and i would be more than delighted to have the opportunity to learn it from the master, you. and probably many others would appreciate that too. i actually would pay for such a lesson!
hope all is well with you, greetings from austria

    Hi Mr.Hussey ! I really love your videos, and I have a question !
I just bought a Pono ukulele from Hawaii Music Supply, but I really don't like the Ko'olau strings of the latter. Do you recommend me to stick with them or to change for other strings like Aquila, which are softer for me to play ?
Thanks a lot for your videos, they are great !
    Greetings from France!

Hello, Animo! Merry Christmas and thank you for your inquiry. By all means, try other strings. As you do try other strings, ask for lower tension ones as it seems like those will help you most. You could make inquiry with Ukulele Site regarding strings as they have quite a variety of them. Let me know if I can help.
      Aloha,
      Kimo
