The online access can be configured thru IIS to run either on port 443 which is the default configuration (secure), or port 80 (unsecure). What I do is I forward both port 80 and 443 to my exchange and then in IIS if user tries to access via 80 I auto redirect them to 443. And of course you need to forward the port 25 in order to be able to receive incoming emails.
Technically yes it is possible. However, there is one condition, all the domains need to be in the same forest. If each domain is in its own forest, then you will need individual exchange server for each. In my case we have several physical location all connected with persistent VPN tunnel. First we deployed one domain (call it A). Then at each of the other location we deployed other domains, however instead of creating new forest for each, we joined them to the forest of domain A via VPN
In terms of domain configuration lets say you want to access the exchange via exchange.domain.net, then you need to create an A record for exchange.domain.net pointing to your router's static IP. And then if you want to receive emails to name@domain.net then you need to create MX record for domain.net pointing to exchange.domain.net (MX records cannot point to IP)
Typically your domain registrar has their own DNS servers which handle the lookups from outside of your organization (aka the world side). Unless you have specifically told your registrar to forward all lookups to your internal DNS, you need to create the DNS entries I described in previous comment on your registrar's DNS server. They should have a control panel where you could manage those settings.

By default exchange configures IIS to only allow secure 443 traffic to all secure locations. If you open IIS on exchange machine and click on each folder under default website, you can potentially remove the require h.t.t.p.s flag. However, doing so would make the system extremely insecure.
Im not a technician or something just trying to help you, but did you look under Administrative tools? Or search for Exchange management maybe its in there.

Let’s say your IP is 22.1.1.3. In DNS create 2 records: 1 A record: mail.domain.com=>22.1.1.3 2 MX record pointing to your A record. MX record has 3 parameters Priority, Host, Points To/Destination. Set priority to any # (not important with single server) If your email address will be a@sub.domain.com the host needs to be set to sub.domain.com. If the email is b@domain.com the host should be domain.com Point destination to A record from step 1 (in our example it would be mail.domain.com)

Hi that was a nice tutorial, I am able to install exchange 2007 without any error but when I installed Exchange 2010 on a single server running Active directory after the completion and configuration, of the hub transport Mailbox, Send connector and the rest. the next time i restated my computer it said initialization failed, unable to connect to the domain controller dc.troy.com, says something about not using the right user name or password. if you like i could give you a access to my pc

How do you import existing users from an Exchange 2003 server? Some users will have PST that I will need also add. I will not be using 2003 anymore. Thank you for the great video.
Are these PSTs stored on 2003 server or user's local computers? If on local computers then each user should simply import their own PSTs into their new inbox once they connect the outlook to the new exchange server. Other wise a google search for "Import PST into exchange 2010" might shed some light on the subject.
