Kari, thank you so much for choosing our Ann Richardson for your birthday SAL and for your kind words about our chart. We are looking forward to seeing everyone's starts and progress on Ann's sweet sampler. And we sincerely apologize for the snafu with the patterns (darn USPS). I believe that is mostly behind us and everyone can get their patterns asap.
Oh KariI literally can feel your emotions. We went through this 5 years ago with my very pregnant daughter and the docs MISSED the burst appendix, which had encapsulated. But she was in major pain and they kept poopoohing her and saying it was ligament pain. Guess when they figured it out? AFTER the baby was born prematurely and they sent her home and she was still doubled over in pain. Her entire abdomen was filled with abscesses. We are so lucky to have not lost her and she didn't lose her uterus. I'm so glad Noah was peristent and went back to the doc and said the meds were not working! Glad he's on the mend. Praying for very quick healing for him.
You cut your hair so cute. Happy Birthday to you. Love all your new stash and the progress on all your projects. So sorry about your son's surgery, glad Noah is feeling better and up and around. you are a good Mom.
So glad you're back and that your son is well again. I was in tears while you were telling your story, because that's what friends and mama's do. We share all the emotions. ❤
I’m so glad your son is doing better and enjoying catching up with you today love seeing your progress and love your birthday 🎂 start. Have a wonderful weekend and happy stitching 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩
So scary about Noah!! Doesn't matter how old our babies are! I was tearing up just listening to you! So happy all is well, now back to what you do best! Thank you for the "back to knitting basics" I'm looking forward to joining, your "Knitting Beanie-A-Long" I just Love, Love your energy!!
Wow so glad Noah is better. Thanks for the info about your patron account for the beanie along. I appreciate your generosity in making it free. My sweet mil taught me the basic of knitting 50 + years ago and made a scarf or 2. So I am in for giving this a try. Hope you have a great week doing all the things. Thanks to the tiger lily support team for their assistance getting the January keeper out🎉
So glad Noah is okay. I did miss you and you were in my prayers. I love the keeper box this month. The sweets were so good. Everything is wonderful. I look forward to learning how to knit with you. Thank you.
Happy to hear Noah is ok. Your children are always your children no matter how old they are. My son lives across the United States from me, so I understand how scary, anxious you must have been. I love what you choose for your birthday SAL and beanie a-long.
Kari I truly love your joy and excitement 🥰 I'm so sorry to hear about the worry that comes with being far from your babies, but so happy to hear he is doing well and on the mend!! It is not easy when our kids are hurting...you're a good mama 💕 Thanks for sharing your job and enthusiasm for needlework ❤️ hope you have a great week! - Lindsay 😊
❤thank you Kari for the link to Patreon so I can get the knit pdf. I would love to support so many there but not able to right now. I did join the free option though. I wouldn’t have known that was a thing if you didn’t tell us. Appreciate you having free content. You are so right when you say Patreon ‘scares’ people especially when financially it’s hard for some of us. I am so sorry you had to experience the scare with your son. My mom’s heart was breaking to hear what you went through. 🙏Those strings are never broken. So glad he’s doing better. Happy crafting friend. I’m off to make some of your bags. So glad I was able to get that pattern. 🩵👍🪡
I just knew something was wrong without seeing you on Fridays! Glad all is better and your mama heart is better! Love, love the keeper box this month! You out did yourself again!
So glad all is ok!! It can be very scary for all involved when it comes to health issues. I was a few weeks from graduating from college when I got sick and I was in the hospital for over 2.5 months. I can say my mom was my number 1 advocate so he is very lucky you were able to come to help him. He will always remember that! Also very crazy that you came back and worked to get all your project keepers out! Excited to join your patreon! Thanks for posting another video. Stitch with you again soon! ❤
Oh sweetheart, I know how scary it was for you. Will be praying that Noah recovers completely! You are a dear and Mothering is a really big job, only we can do it! Blessings
Hugs to you 😢. So glad your son is ok and will be fine. The keeper club I will be receiving soon, will be more special than any of them. Prayers for his speedy recovery and that life settles down to a normal rhythm for you. Remember, it’s always family first. 😊🤗❤
Oh, Mama Bear, so glad everything has ended on a happy note! Nothing more scary than a sick baby, especially when they are not right with you. I had wondered about you, but chalked it up to getting Keepers out the door…so sorry I didn’t know to storm heaven for you! My box came today and I couldn’t wait to open it…once again, an unbelievable box of goodies. Sending love your way as always!❤
Bless your heart; so glad Noah is on the mend. I can only imagine how scary that was. Happy 48th Birthday. Our oldest daughter w/b 47 this summer so you could be my daughter and I'd be proud of you and all you accomplish! Have a Blessed 2024. I enjoy your videos! Love your Bd Sal choice. Love the coloerful alphabet and all the funky flowers.
Hi Kari! I always enjoy watching your Flosstubes. I love the enthusiasm thats what makes me come back. I am so sorry what you went through with your son! ER emergencies are no fun! I can't even think how you must have felt when you were traveling to get to him. I almost wanted to cry watching you!
I was thrilled to see you back! So glad your son is okay. And Happy Birthday next week! We share the same birthday date! I just love your videos and your enthusiasm is contagious 😊
Oh my goodness! I am so happy that Noah is better, wow, bless his heart! I know that was a worrisome time for mom to watch her boy suffer. God is so good and has brought healing and guessing he will return to school soon. What a fun visit today tho'. So much goodness and excitement - I am so wanting to knit a beanie and looking forward to your 'recipe' for this fun venture. My problem with knitting (I knit dishclothes like crazy), that is knitting a real item, lol, is fixing mistakes, so I frog a LOT. Thank you for your time and energy.
So glad your baby is doing well now! Yes, I know he's college age, so is mine, but they are always our babies in our hearts! Excited for your new patreon...signed up for the free level for now but may be switching out some of my current paid ones soon. Please don't apologize or feel embarrassed about starting a Patreon...I support some people who have wonderful communities there!
I absolutely agree with the whole Facebook thing! You are so fun to watch. I really enjoyed this video. I'm new to all the technology involved with stitching now. Thanks for sharing.
Oh man, my heart was breaking for you when you told about Noah. My oldest daughter had emergency appendectomy when she was 15, so at least she was home. But I feel you about them being so far away. When our youngest was in college, she was seven hours away and thought she had broken her arm. Luckily she had alot of great friends who rallied around and went with her to the emergency room. And thankfully it wasnt broken. But those hours of waiting were hard. I am glad he is ok now and that you were able to go and be with him.
Take care of yourself, sweet lady. Life passes way too fast. My heart was with you regarding Noah. My husband went through a similar ordeal about 10 years ago. We went straight from the doctor's office to the hospital. After all tests and surgery, the surgeon came out and said he had the gnarliest appendix he'd ever seen. Glad everything is going well. Take care. I'm going to try to join your patrion.
Oh my goodness, it's just so scary right? I'm so glad your husband was at the right place at the right time. It's amazing how all of a sudden the appendix so that.
Our babies are just that forever, glad all is well now with Noah. I am interested in the beanie-along in a patreon format. I also enjoy Instagram more than Facebook.
Hi Kari, great video, so agree with your comment regarding FB, so you go girl ..I’ve found Patreon to be very nice…as a retired RN surgical nurse & Mom been in this situation…so many blessings happened for you during this time your circle of angles were with you & Noah…🤗💕 loving the beanie knit along Thanks.. take good care 💞
Oh my gosh, Kari, so glad your son is ok. My daughter went to school 7 hrs away in San Diego and she had a serious illness also - it was really tough- that helpless feeling. It would have been ok if the project keepers weren’t on time - life happens and your kids come first. You’re amazing! I’m so excited for the Beanie along. Thank you for starting with all the basics (I know nothing!). Can’t wait to gather all my supplies and have fun! Thank you for having the sew along - it’s been a tough month for you.
Thank you so much! I'm so excited to share my knitting love with my stitchy friends....and starting at the basics is exactly what I needed when I was learning. I
So sorry you had to go through that. A mama takes care of her kids. I can relate. For the whole Easter break I had to go take care of my daughter who was very sick. Came on all at once. Get some rest and we look forward to seeing you Friday.
I can not imagine how you felt not being there while everything was going on with your son. Our oldest lives 4 hours away and your youngest is 20 minutes away. My Keeper box came while we were away this weekend at our oldest son's place as we hadn't had Christmas with him and his girlfriend as they had Covid over the holidays. I love everything in my box❤❤ I am excited to start the beanie as I have knitted in a long time.
Oh thank God he got the help he needed and God bless the Doctors that figured out what was wrong. God bless you Kari you’re a strong and good mama to take care of her babies❤ I’m so glad that everything worked out and he is healing and you have peace in your heart once again❤ Your awesome to take the time to do the boxes and work so hard in getting them done and the help of your family with all that you and your family just went through❤ You have such a big caring heart and I had tears in my eyes as you told what happened❤ I know you don’t know me but just from commenting and a few IM’s I sent you I’m here if you need to talk about anything and I can offer you that much I’m not that far along in all the things like you but I’ll support you in what ever you need ❤❤❤❤
I am glad Noah is on the mend! I know it is difficult living so far from Noah and Lily. I am grateful you were able to get a flight to Greenville. We are always moms, even when our children are now adults. I cannot find your birthday SAL pattern anywhere. I will keep looking! Many people are going to be stitching along with you! Happy Birthday!
Hi Kari! So happy to see you again! I love your yarns and am very excited for the beanie along! I totally agree. Seeing a hand dyed yarn swatch knit up definitely makes a huge difference. I wanted to share with you another small dyer that also does knit swatches consistently. Arcane Fiber Works. They dye based off of photos and have so many gorgeous colorways. Anyway, I'm so glad I was able to catch up with you this weekend and I hope you get lots of stitchy and knity time in!
Oh I love your idea for using the old book for a finish.....so what abut doing a fun color wash on the book? Just water down some , um pink....or red or whatever and then make it a Kari "Tirger Lily " cool thing! Love it. So love watching all your makes, ideas. I'm a fun 74 and have so tried to knit to no avail, I know it's sad, but true. I will follow along and be jealous.!😂😂🤣 Love ya
So glad Noah is doing well. I can Imagine what you went through no Mama wants to be that far away when something like that happens. I’m glad you had your team to help you out nothing like a great team to back you up.
I'm so glad that your son is doing well. I am excited about your birthday SAL, it is a beautiful chart and I can't wait to try the Victorian Clayton silks. I received my order yesterday and they are beautiful. Thanks for all you do. Janine
Can’t wait to see your progress on Ann Richardson. We love her, especially with Vikki’s silks, and thank you again for choosing her. I’m so very glad to hear your son is now fine and doing well. My daughter is also a junior in college and I wouldn’t think twice either of dropping everything and flying to her if she needed me. Hugs from my mom heart to yours. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for the mom hug! It's crazy how that is the hardest job I have. I'm super excited to start Ann next week and all the stitchy friends that are joining. Hope we can meet and stitch in person one day. Happy Stitching!
Bless your heart Kari! I had no idea what you were dealing with. So glad your son is doing so much better. The keepers could have waited until you were rested😮 but I know that’s not how you do things.😌 I’m looking forward to the beanie knitting lesson. Take care! Hugs!❤
Thank you so much sweet friend! Noah is doing great now....you wouldn't even know it happened. You are right, that's just not how I do things. I'm happy to be on the other side of it, planning for some upcoming crafty FUN!
I’m so excited to join your Birthday SAL! This will be my first. I’ve also never stitched with silks so I ordered the VCs. I chose 32Ct Baby Sheep…I like the buttery softness of it.
Thank you 🙏 for continuing your creative work 👍 Being a parent is the Hards job in the world trying to protect our children from afar is not easy We are always parents no matter how old they are 🤗 Many blessings to you and your family 🙏❤️🙏I just ordered the thread for chart my sister 🙏✌️
So I was late watching your video - and OMG. All the belated love and support for your crazy January. Kids away and sick or hurt is so hard, and you handled all that additional work! Know that I appreciate you, but also would completely understand if my subscription box was a few days late. Take care of yourself too!
Cows eat fodder. Fodder is the stalk left after the ears of corn are picked off of it. Some farmers cut up the corn stalks and put it into silos to fed later. The linen is very pretty.
Happy that your son is well and on the mend. What a way to start the year. 2023 was my year of things going wrong so I feel your anxiety. Things will work out. Glad you had time to come and let us see your projects and all the things. Hugs
So scary for you! And being so far away from your son! I’m glad he is better and everything is ok. My daughter goes to school 9-10 hours away so yea, I would be freaking out too! Happy birthday month and what a cute chart to celebrate with! I’m still working on Harriot but I’m probably going to get the new one too! Love the flowers and colors! You’re the best and I love your channel and you! ❤❤
I had an appendectomy at the age of 54. I was shocked. While I was in surgery, my mother died. Since she lived in Alabama and I was in Virginia, I was unable to say goodbye to her. Life can throw you a curve ball, and you will have to catch it bare handed. When a man or boy child is sick or hurt, he wants his mom.
Oh, Kari!!! I had absolutely NO idea what was happening, except that I hadn’t seen you on the ‘tubes for what felt like an eternity, and the month was getting later and later and no word that my Club had shipped (I was NOT worried about the Club! I just knew something big had to have happened for all the “delays”)…. Thank you God that Noah is well again! I also had NO idea you hold down a day job as well!! So grateful it’s flexible enough for you to be able to go to Noah’s side and help him out! Cry all you want! I’m not a mama (to a human child at least), however, I know that pain, that feeling of helplessness, and the sheer terror that you cannot directly fix what’s wrong… maybe it’s the nurse in me… the Beanie-a-Long sounds like fun! I just don’t have enough hands to handle another spinning plate at the moment. So I’ll just watch and life vicariously through y’all … Popover, popover, POPOVER for the My Sister’s Samplers piece!! Yes, it’s Aida and most closely matches the model!! Happy Birthday if I don’t get to say it on the 31st, and see you soon!! Thank goodness all the hiccups were EARLY in the year!
Hi Kari. Great video. Thank you for sharing your time and projects. I am so glad your son is doing better! I noticed you are not set on a fabric choice for “A Peacock, a Unicorn, a Badger” and wanted to mention Roxy Floss Co. just revealed a fabric they dyed specifically for that project and it is gorgeous. You may want to take a look to see if it’s an option you might like. Good luck in everything you do. ❤
So glad Noah is fine now, but wow, how scary, geez! Glad you were able to get a flight quickly. I think for your B-day start chart, X-Ju Design & Lakeside Linens are both beautiful choices. Yes, ditch the alphabet on Ann Grimshaw. I do Spreadsheets too (retired accountant).
Well…dang it Keri! I might have to break up with you! 😬🤣 I went right over to Vicky’s website and bought, well, A LOT of her silk kits 🥴🙄. I have been wanting to try them- and now I’ll be able to! The pattern for your birthday was sold out, so I’ll pick it up later. Happy early Birthday 🎉🥳🎉. I’m so glad that your son is recovering well. Being a Mom is no joke. You did great Momma! Xx I joined your Patreon and I’m teaching a new friend how to knit and I’m going to suggest that she knit along with you. A beanie is a great 1st pattern. Also, yesterday I started sewing my 1st project keeper using your pattern and so far so good 👍. Happy stitching, knitting, sewing and making! Xx
My son lives in Germany and doesn’t have a friend close enough to have my phone number! I live in fear everyday that even if he calls me I’m probably a minimum of 16 hrs away. He’s 33 but unattached and I’d be the one he calls. I feel for you!!
So glad your son is feeling better but how scary. Have you seen the dark green fabric (Pub Crawl) that Kerri from Roxy Floss Co. dyed to stitch her Peacock, Unicorn & Badger on? She didn’t want to stitch the background and showed it in Evertote’s flosstube last week.
You made me cry with your story of your son having surgery. That is one of my biggest fears. My oldest is currently in Washington state, 22 hours away and my youngest will be at Clemson in the fall, another 24 hours away from where we live in New Mexico. I’m so scared of something like that happening. Did your son have surgery at Anderson Area Medical Center? I used to work as a nurse in their ER.
I am so glad your son was pro active in going back to the doctor. My daughter had a medical emergency her freshman year. I was so glad she was only 3 hours away and glad she had a roommate that stayed with her until I got there. Always love your floss tubes!
This was my first Keeper Box and little did I know all that was going behind the scenes while waiting anxiously for it to reach me. I am so happy Noah is on the mend and feel for all you, as a mom, was going through during that harrowing event. I have received it now and I LOVE IT! Thanks so much!!
Kari, I’m so glad that your son is ok. So scary. Your dedication to your Keeper Club is amazing. We would have understood if they arrived late. But, with that said, OH MY! You hit it out of the park with this one! It’s fabulous and you are one amazing maker! ❤️
Kari, it’s absolutely beautiful! I got mine in Texas yesterday. I got listen to most of this yesterday while rocking my sweet grandbaby Noah, that is sick too. His mom and dad are at a week long conference. I pray your Noah is on the mend and I can’t tell you how much getting that box yesterday made my day. Thank you for all your hard work, along with your sweet family. I also got my pattern for your bday sal, super excited, I’ve never done a sal before.
Slayyyyyyy your hair looks amazing a whole hottie. 💅 love love love everything you are stitching on and it’s literally taking everything in my heart and soul not to join your birthday SAL.
OMG! You are just the cutest thing. Thank you. You know I would love for you to join, but you are on the clock....t-minus NO TIME until your beautiful baby boy is here taking up 150% of your time. I hope that Amira's party is FAB!
Oh bless you and your kiddos. So glad Noah is ok. That’s so stressful. Praying he continues to heal and you can relax and enjoy the beanie along. Take care!!
Kari, thank you so much for choosing our Ann Richardson for your birthday SAL and for your kind words about our chart. We are looking forward to seeing everyone's starts and progress on Ann's sweet sampler. And we sincerely apologize for the snafu with the patterns (darn USPS). Love the haircut
Thanks for sharing ❤ Blessings ❤

So sorry about your son's surgery, glad Noah is feeling better and up and around. you are a good Mom.
I ordered the silk now I have to find the chart for your birthday Sal…very excited…..
It is a tricky chart to find right now. If I had know I would have planned better and ordered charts to have at the ready here.....next year :)
So glad you're back and that your son is well again. I was in tears while you were telling your story, because that's what friends and mama's do. We share all the emotions. ❤

So thankful your Noah is ok now❤
Excited for your bday start!
Ohhh, So Grateful your son came through his appendix surgery well. Continued prayers for him!!! I know that is a very scary thing! 😨
Thank you for the well wishes and prayers for Noah.
Thank you so much for your kind words about my Noah
So glad Noah is okay. Take a deep breath and get some rest!
Thank you so much for your kind words about my Noah
I'm so glad that your son is doing well. I am excited about your birthday SAL, it is a beautiful chart and I can't wait to try the Victorian Clayton silks. I received my order yesterday and they are beautiful. Thanks for all you do. Janine
Thank you for your well wishes for Noah. I'm so glad you are joining the SAL & I can't wait for you to try the Vikki silks.
So glad Noah is ok and that you could get to him!! Let’s zoom for your birthday!!
@@TigerLilyDesignsWould love that. ❤️
Sending Birthday Wishes your way. Sending hugs to you for your manic January I hope Noah is feeling a lot better now.
Thank you for the birthday wishes! And well wishes for Noah.
So glad Noah is getting better. 🙌 I love your haircut. Great Video ❤
Thank you so much sweet friend!
Isn't that the truth. It gives me a whole new respect for my own mother :) Yeah! I'm so glad you are joining the SAL
So I was late watching your video - and OMG. All the belated love and support for your crazy January. Kids away and sick or hurt is so hard, and you handled all that additional work! Know that I appreciate you, but also would completely understand if my subscription box was a few days late. Take care of yourself too!
I'm happy Noah is doing better!
I'm waiting for your birthday SAL to be restocked.
By the way, we share the same birthday🎈
Family is everything…so glad everything is ok now. You have a full time day job too? Wow. Zoom is my vote.
I agree 100% about family. They are my everything.
So glad Noah is ok. FYI Evertote floss tube last week announced a new fabric color for the peacock badger etc pattern background
Thank you for your kind words about Noah. I will have to check Evertote out ASAP! I'm looking for the perfect color :)
Oh Kari, I cried along with you. My son Michael got sick in D.C. on a school trip. It’s just awful.
Cows eat fodder. Fodder is the stalk left after the ears of corn are picked off of it. Some farmers cut up the corn stalks and put it into silos to fed later. The linen is very pretty.
OMG! I love this so much. Thank you for sharing.
I am so glad Noah is okay. Yes very scary- children still need you no matter what, when….
Happy that your son is well and on the mend. What a way to start the year. 2023 was my year of things going wrong so I feel your anxiety. Things will work out. Glad you had time to come and let us see your projects and all the things. Hugs
Hugs to you as well sweet friend. I hope that your 2024 is starting off easy breezy since 2023 was you tornado year. Happy Stitching!
Thank so much for the sweet message friend. I was quite a whirlwind, hopefully that's all my excitement for 2024 in one swoop.
Thank you so much!
Thank you! I agree it's down to Xju and Lakeside.....which one, it's so hard? And oh yes, I'm pretty sure I'm losing the Ann alphabet.
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Oh my goodness....I'm not sure my momma heart could be that strong. Hugs to you.
Just thrilled that Noah is on the mend. ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much for your kind words about my Noah
You made me cry with your story of your son having surgery. That is one of my biggest fears. My oldest is currently in Washington state, 22 hours away and my youngest will be at Clemson in the fall, another 24 hours away from where we live in New Mexico. I’m so scared of something like that happening. Did your son have surgery at Anderson Area Medical Center? I used to work as a nurse in their ER.
Bless your momma heart with your babies on two different coasts. He did have his surgery at AnMed in Anderson. They were great to him.
@@TigerLilyDesigns glad he is doing better and that AnMed was a good experience.
I am so glad your son was pro active in going back to the doctor. My daughter had a medical emergency her freshman year. I was so glad she was only 3 hours away and glad she had a roommate that stayed with her until I got there. Always love your floss tubes!
So glad Noah is okay. Our children, no matter how old, are our heart walking around outside our bodies. I got teary-eyed listening.
This was my first Keeper Box and little did I know all that was going behind the scenes while waiting anxiously for it to reach me. I am so happy Noah is on the mend and feel for all you, as a mom, was going through during that harrowing event. I have received it now and I LOVE IT! Thanks so much!!
Sending ❤ to you. So glad your son is on the mend. Happy Birthday, too! 🎉
Take care!!
Thank you so much for your kind words about my Noah
