@@pazdylan1873 Yes you can! I have the Blackstar HT-5RH MkII that looks like the same amp as this only its .5 and 5 watt instead of 2 and 20. When I use the XLR out to record or whatever the sounds still goes through the speaker too.
I love mine, just got it and it slays on both channels! Even the clean is better than my Fenders to noodle on, classic overdrive is Marshall and the high gain is Soldano to my ears..I did put a Celestion Century Vintage in there and it is the most perfect amp I have owned.
Bought this and an ht 1, excellent with my pedals. Had the cores before this. Loved them too, just love the sounds of the tubes. Im sure some will claim they have a certain amp that is way "better" than whatever amp is being tested. We all have that sound we want, and no one amp is going to make everyone happy, no matter what. Its all opinion anyway.😊
I love my 40w mkii. Just what i needed: cool distortion and good clean with ability not to be so loud (literally can play in bedroom at night if needed)

This amp had an amazing sound!! It hurts so much to walk away from it when I am in stores. I only am able to walk away from buying one because I have a 2x12 blackstar TVP 260 and the Club HT 40 mk2 Kentucky Special w/ 6L6 valves. I keep telling myself I obviously need it because I don't have a el84 tube amp lol. It certainly sounds a bit differently voiced than the 6L6 HT40. Only non blackstar amp is a boss katana mk2 50w so I can have something easily portable but still good sounding.
I think this is the best all-around combo you can buy today, especially for rock. Fantastic clean channel and molten lava overdrive channel with tremendous versatility. Sounds far superior to a Marshall DSL, which it's often compared to. Superb amp. Screams!

I had the BB15 and I sold it but it is absolutely a killer amp. It just doesn’t have footswitchable channels. If you want that option go for the HT20mkii. That’s what I have now.
Does anybody know if the amp control features on a Boss MS-3 will change amp channels and voices when saved as a preset in Preset Mode? Want to be able to instantly switch from Clean 1 to OD2 with a single press.

Yeah, there's so many factors in the sound. different guitars, settings, pickups, quality of the video. Someone someplace always has an amp that sounds better than the amp being reviewed. 😊@@shckltnebay
That thing is so, so, so digital it's almost a modelling amp. I'm serious, I've had and still have a Blackstar. Once a tech opened an HT5 up and went "WTF is this!" For what they are Blackstar amps are more expensive than their competition and don't have have of the quality build or finish their competition has. Sorry but I'm being honest. With fender and Marshall you know what you get. If you pay 6 or 700 for a Marshall or Fender you know what's in it, but Blackstar even confuses the techs.
It's a tube amp right? I think it has a digital reverb unit but you can put something else into the fx loop if you want for verb. Maybe there's some solid state (not digital) circuitry in the "voice" section I think, which is just like adding a boost/od pedal.
I love these new Blackstar MKII amps! They outdid themselves with these redesigns and power attenuator being built in.
Most versatile amp that can cover every genre, 2 watts for home and 20 to gig with and straight in to record......perfect!
when this is plugged into the mixing desk for live performance can you still hear yourself ( monitor) from the amp itself?

Big fan of these Blackstar club MK2!! Bought the 40. Loved it so much. That I got the 20 for home. 👍🏼🤘🏼

I have a Orange head that is 15watt and it is insanely loud so 20w will do it for sure. You can add another cabinet if you want also

This is an analog amp. Some of the Blackstar amps are digital, but not the HT series.
