I hope that someday there will be custom solutions for collision checking. I liked raylib, but because the only way to check for collision in it is to compare two objects whether they collide or not - it's not very convenient, not to mention how optimized it is to compare each object via foreach. Some may disagree and say "so write your own solution", but the point is that instead of developing a game, I will have to spend time refining the functionality of the library. Learning how SAT collision works, delving into mat-theory, and trying to make my own custom system... And it's frustrating that I'm wasting time that I could be spending on writing game logic, when there seem to be alternatives that already have convenient collision functionality that only require subscribing to a collision event.
Can anyone help me here? What's the name of that engine that simulates old videogame console structure, like tiles, vertical interrupts, i believe there was also a "mode 7" feature ... I know this engine was featured here before, but i can't remember the name of the engine ..
I think it won't replace PNG, usually QOI files are a bit bigger... but it's super-fast and the algorythm is contained in about 300 lines of open-source C code, that's amazing!
All those tools can be used online completely for free. - rFXGen can be downloaded for free and it's also open source - rGuiStyler and rGuiIcons can be downloaded for free - rIconPacker and rTexViewer can be downloaded with a donation of $10 - rGuiLayout and rTexPacker can be downloaded with a donation of $20
Considering I can get a channel strike if a URL I link to gets hijacked or expires and is camped by a porn or malware site, this is very much a requirement.
I know this comment is just sarcasm, but I am 100% unironically behind the idea that's being made fun of. Not only for the reasons stated by Gamefromscratch himself his reply, but also I'd like reading further especially as an article format that I can bookmark. Bonus content if you will. Besides, it's not like the video is interrupted every 5 minutes to check out his site (Im looking at you "Hallway Analog/Hallway Crew" channel) If you really want to, you can just ignore his site's link and search the content featured on a search engine. Or you could even ignore the whole video, and just look at the title and thumbnail then search it.
I've been working full time on those tools for the last 5 months, some of those tools took me thousands of hours of development and I'd really love to be able to keep doing it and make a living from that work... Unfortunately, giving everything for free can not put food on my table. Just a note: in the last few hours +2000 people have visited the tools but not a single person has paid a cent for them. That is really sad.

Hey Mike! Thank you very much for talking about my tools! I hope you enjoyed them! :D
Thank you for the incredible tools
Did you make this alone....??
Amazing work.
@@maniksharma9736 I've been working alone on those tools for the last 3 years or so.
Fantastic work! Thank you for providing these libraries for all of us to use and enjoy.
love the aesthetics of these tools
Hey, Thank you for the videos you're making! Much appreciated!
Perfect lib!

Ah, ok. Guess I won't be using raylib then.
I love these videos, keep it up!
Straight forward, on the whole
Idk why but this reminds me of open office tools
i think it's the logo images with white on colored borders :P
True
is there a Raylib for networking or multiplayer , websocket?
wow these look great

tilengine?
Pico-8
tic-80? pixelbox also works with tiles
I had never heard of the QOI image format before this. Looking it up, it looks like it might end up replacing the PNG format.

You can use these ONLINE for free, but you are forced to pay $10 or more if you wish to download them.

rFXGen seems really similar to Bfxr
My cat said that a video about using these raylib tools in Godot would be nice :}
The amount of features is positively overwhelming.
Wait... you pronounce PNG as "ping" ??!
I do. How do you pronounce JPG?
@@BoltRM Japeg
@@BoltRM Jeep-Guh
It's the correct pronunciation accordingly to PNG's creator
What? No foliage system!
I prefer rFXGen to BFXR
Big thank you for only linking to your own site in the description to maximize ad revenue before people actually get to the real links for this

I'm sorry bother you but, have you ever heard about a tiny little engine name: Craft Studios game maker?
Please make a video about it.
Thanks.
Seems like Unreal engine covers me on a few of these functionalities out of the box.
mate, what are you on about
it's kinda sad that ray made some of these paid
Everyone has bills to pay.
