I love my zgrill, though I bought an earlier version a little over a year ago. Wish the stand was just a little sturdier, but the grill itself is great. I have the 550b.

reading through the comments seems some think everyone can drop a grand on a smoker. this is a great way for someone to get into smoking and see if its for them and for those that can't spend a grand on a grill.

If your intrested in a pellet grill then get a Pitboss pro series or a yoder smokers pellet grill. Z grills can keep that junk who sticking they hands in to rotate that vent when its on and hot. and its to small.

I dont know if I’d put Pit Boss in the same category as Yoder, but I will agree that there are many options out there… just depends on how much you’re willing to pay.

well any normal person would know they are going for as hot as possible and open the vent prior to starting the grill. evidently you can't think that far ahead.
