That is a beautiful Lord and Taylor, and I wish I could go there sometime before stupidity happens to it (if it never has happened). The men's outfits are something I could definitely spend up for.
I went to high school in Loudoun county and this was the ONLY mall close to us for my friends and I. I remember running around and going to hot topic and Spencer’s and then cause a ruckus on the carousel. God this was so nostalgic.
This is my childhood mall lol I vividly remember the ceiling to the food court. I always thought it looked like the set of the Brittney Spears- You Drive Me Crazy video. I used to go to Limited Too just for the photo booth lol & watching my sis shop at g+g rave, hot topic, Abercrombie. I can’t believe the Piano Company is still there lol
This Mall is as dark as Columbia's mall in Maryland. That mall is great except for the poor lighting. Years ago, when florescent bulbs began to replace incandescents, I thought buildings would be more lit because the cost was now much lower. But I don't see increased "cheaper" lighting taking advantage of the new tech except for around the Holidays. LEDs are even cheaper lighting but malls aren't using them too much. Too bad. This Mall here and Columbia Mall will be fantastic with better lighting. 🤔
It’s a nice mall - I like how it has a nice mix of mix price retailers with some high end ones (Lord and Taylor). Movie theatre indoors and food court are nice too.
I've lived in sterling all my life, recently moved to pakistan cuz of family stuff. I'm coming back soon for a 2-week break, seeing this is giving me some nostalgia.
Lord & Taylor was my first job as a teen and I got my prom dress there (in Annapolis, another mall you should check out takin a nosedive) and my Mom shopped there alot....so sad to see L&T going out this way
I do hope the mall pulls through, I love the interior. I’ve also never been to a Lord and Taylor it seems nice though, I get a Dillard’s and Nordstrom feel from it.
I've been to this one several times (also had to help the PacSun at this mall a lot when I worked for that company), it always felt upbeat, and it has done well holding food court tenants and stores through the years.
This mall has been through a lot of changes. I’ve worked in Forever 21 and Abercrombie here and my sisters has worked here as well around 1999 and 2007. It’s very sad to see malls like this about to go in the next few years smh (sighs) 😔
Correction - Walmart does not own Lord & Taylor. They only partnered with them for their online business. It’s a nice mall but it’s become somewhat marginal as some stores have left. Other than that cool tour!
So JCPenney is having trouble Sears just exited bankruptcy Lord & Taylor is doing ok Macy's is closing left and right they need to figure something out before they decide to close more stores
This mall is always swarming with peoplebut i definitely noticed how dead the area where nordstrom was and the bottom level of where dicks sporting goods is located.
From what I gathered, you are correct, though it appears Walmart & Lord & Taylor are in a partnership operation. Not sure how this'll work out for them, but I suppose its better than dragging along into bankruptcy.
Also, when I last came here, the doors for the (now-closed) Swavorski were open for some reason, & the black covering was removed, it might possibly be replaced by another tenant, (or possibly just moving the fixtures and selling them to another location.) Also, the former Justice now has Old Navy advertising for some reason.

🙂🙂 Dulles is a nice mall., however the winds and outdoors surrounding the mall are cruel to bizarre how mean as shit Dulles outdoors can get., if one would bicycle around there or walk to the metrobus..I was at Dulles in 2016., with some of the coldest winter temperatures around, the people don't fail to disappoint the asshole level up several notches again to what they like to think is., snobby cars...
UPDATE: Lord & Taylor has departed the mall.
Sears is closed now too, as is Ambercrombie and Fitch and several other smaller stores. This mall's days are numbered I believe.

This is my closest and most favorite mall. The other two are Fair Oaks in Fairfax and Tysons Corner Center in Mclean.
Fair Oaks will be toward the end of the winter adventure.
@@DoomieGruntVentures Cool, can't wait to see!
Me too in the same order!

Good video. Cool looking mall. Thanks for filming.

Pakistan? Really? I hope you enjoy it but I feel it's scaring me that you went back from here to Pakistan. I know it's a troubled country

That was such a nice lord and Taylor. I miss it.

Wow what a very nice looking mall I hope it can continue to thrive

Lord and Taylor is closing up shop now. So, the only anchors for Dulles are Sears, JCPenny's and Macy's now.
Sears is closed there in Dulles as well, the anchors now are macy’s and jcpenny!
Reminds me of a modern Shoppingtown mall.
That mall looks pretty cool to me. I thought it was pretty full up until you went through that one section.
which section?
Which ?
I like going to this mall
I am going to Dulles Town Center this weekend

I have been to this mall before and it's close to my house
TWO slices of pizza? Exploring this place must have worn you out 🍕 🍕
All I had that day was a pretzel, beef jerky, and a bag of chips. Oh, and a 7eleven hot dog.

I love your content ❤️
Sears is the LAST ONE! and it's not going to be much longer
how does the mall look in the daytime?
The natural light comes in through the skylights & neutralizes the warm glow present at night.
Sears has departed the mall too
I could see a Belk or Dillard's here maybe...

GIB ME LE DILLARD'S IN LE BEAUTIFUL MALL
I can see Von Maur taking the Lord and Taylor spot and Boscov's taking the Nordstrom spot.
There was a shooter in this mall today
It was funny when you said that you didn’t the carpet I was saying the same thing.
Fun fact: JC Penney has very loud escalators.
Chici fil a closed in the food court, and Sears in 2021. Somthing replaced Lord & Taylor but nothing replaced Sears or Nordstrom.
If its like NC theyll stick a Dunhams in there :(
